Kapitel 437: Bathroom Reunion

In the light screen video, Arthur, reaching through the iron gate, pinches the serious face of little Bruce, making him 'smile.' 'Much better this way.'

Despite Bruce Wayne's young age, he already has the poker face feature. Arthur treats him as a half-brother, playing with the child.

Outside the video, Bruce Wayne's expression is strange, not because he saw another parallel time and his childhood embarrassment, but because he recalled the Joker asking a henchman during an attempt on a mob boss, 'Why so serious?'

For some reason, although Joker and Arthur look different, at that moment, their faces seem to overlap.

Without saying much, someone approaches in the video, shouting, " young master Bruce, young master Bruce!"

This person pulls Bruce away from Arthur and warns the child to stay away from this strange man.

Arthur defends, 'It's okay, I'm a good person...'

The one stopping him from interacting with little Bruce is Alfred Pennyworth, the Wayne Manor butler, who watches Arthur vigilantly.

He returns the flowers Arthur gave to Bruce, asking for his name and the reason for being there.

Arthur explains that he just performed a magic trick for Bruce to amuse him and reveals his name, also mentioning his mother's name. He admits he came to see Bruce Wayne.

"Penny? You're her son?"

Alfred's expression changes a bit, making Bruce step away. He then approaches Arthur, and they talk. Arthur did not hide anything and told him that he already knew the past events between his mother and Thomas Wayne.

Of course, he lowered his voice. After all, there was little Bruce at the scene, and scandals involving his father should be avoided after all.

Seeing Arthur's serious expression, Alfred smiled softly: "They have never been together at all."

Alfred explains, "Your mother has a delusional disorder; she is sick!"

In the recent video, Arthur's elderly mother didn't seem physically well, but there was no apparent mental illness during their conversation.

However, mental illnesses vary, and many patients appear normal when not experiencing symptoms.

"So, his mother isn't intentionally deceiving him; she has delusional disorder?"

"That makes sense. Delusional patients construct a fictional event and believe it to be true. So, that letter seemed so 'real' to her because, in her eyes, it is the truth, even if it never happened."

"To be honest, even if that's the truth, I still think the butler was a bit cold..."

"Heh, cold? Do you expect the butler to kneel and speak to be considered sincere? I find this quite normal. Both Arthur and his mother are mentally ill!"

Outside the video, viewers begin to understand the truth, discussing it.

In the Eternal Space, Arthur shakes his head, saying, "No, my mother is not delusional; she's just physically weak!"

Peter Parker and Commissioner Gordon exchange glances, finding Arthur's unsettling appearance frightening.

In the video, Arthur is visibly angry, saying, "Don't talk about her like that!"

Alfred advises, "Go away, so you don't embarrass yourself more."

Many people feel the butler is too cold, wondering why he didn't explain things calmly. However, some think it's reasonable, considering Arthur and his mother aren't normal.

In the video, Arthur is still upset, saying, "Thomas Wayne is my father!"

Alfred laughs as if hearing a good joke. From a professional standpoint, he successfully lightens the mood, but it's not the result he wanted. Enraged, Arthur grabs Alfred's throat, shouting, "He abandoned me!"

Arthur suddenly loses control, his hands gripping Alfred's neck. He releases him, running away, perhaps avoiding killing the butler, given little Bruce's shocked gaze.

In the Eternal Space, the atmosphere becomes tense and strange. Arthur remains silent, and Peter Parker hesitates to speak, not knowing what to say.

Commissioner Gordon finally says, "He lost control, just like... A madm--."

Like a madman, but he refrains from using those words, not wanting to provoke Arthur. Outside the video, Arthur looks worse than in the video, appearing in a chaotic state.

In the video, the scene changes to a theater where countless people with Joker masks are protesting.

From the signs they hold, it seems related to Joker and Thomas Wayne's mayoral campaign.

"Down with Wayne, down with Wayne!"

The protesting crowd chants slogans, clearly opposing Thomas Wayne. Arthur walks among the protesters, joining in the chants with a genuine smile on his face.

Outside the video frame, viewers are perplexed, wondering why people from this parallel dimension would protest against Thomas Wayne. In their Gotham City, Thomas Wayne is a wealthy and compassionate philanthropist, dedicated to improving the lives of the city's residents.

Honestly, if Thomas Wayne were to run for mayor in their world, he would be warmly welcomed. So why do people in Arthur's Gotham resist and reject Thomas Wayne?

Arthur infiltrates the theater, disguised as a servant. His intention is evidently connected to Thomas Wayne, and he eventually encounters his 'father' in the restroom.
