Kapitel 79: Arc 2

The aroma of glutinous rice balls and sweet and sour pork ribs filled the kitchen as Ye Jin poured the sauce into the pot with the already fried ribs.

She had told Xi Ming to go clean up earlier. He must have been done by now.

"The house looks pretty nice," Ye Jin heard Xi Ming say.

Ye Jin turned and saw Xi Ming leaning against the door, his long hair cascading down his shoulders, still a bit wet.

"Thank you," Ye Jin replied. "I made some changes while you were gone."

Though Ye Ruan and Su Hao had been kept in the dark about what Ye Jin was actually up to, Ye Jin wanted to do something nice for them, so she decided to renovate the house a bit.

"How was your experience at the border?" Ye Jin asked.

Xi Ming walked towards her and leaned against the counter with a faint smile. "Quite boring, though Li Fei told me that I am improving, especially in combat."
