"Ugh! Everything is just so unfair," Zhou Tang complained, clearly upset as they walked through the crowded night market. "I don't know why Father doesn't consider me as an heir, even though I am very much capable."

After receiving the sword, Zhou Tang had offered to follow Ye Jin home, though Ye Jin knew she just needed an excuse to see the night market. However, after a series of conversations, Ye Jin couldn't pinpoint how the topic suddenly shifted to Zhou Tang's complaints about life being unfair.

Li Fei scolded Zhou Tang, "Eldest Miss, I don't think it's appropriate to discuss the affairs of the Zhou family in public."

"Not now, Li Fei," Zhou Tang replied, her voice tinged with a hint of annoyance.

Li Fei pursed his lips into a thin line and said nothing further, as he could see that Zhou Tang was beginning to get annoyed with him.
