"What are you thinking about this time, Elena?" Zed suddenly asked me out of the blue while I was still drinking his blood.

My grip on his head tightened, obviously caught thinking about something else.

How did he even know?

"Why are you thinking about something else while drinking my blood, Elena?" Zed sounded a little angry. "Or are you perhaps thinking about somebody else?" He was silent for a moment, a second or two, before continuing, "Your toy? Are you perhaps thinking about your new toy? Or were you thinking about your old toy? Do you miss him? Do you miss them?" He really sounded angry. And a little jealous.

I'm not really sure, but that's how his voice sounded to me. I guess his pride was hurt when my thoughts drifted to another while I'm drinking his blood and we're in this position?

I didn't give away anything this time, though. I mean, I didn't move or react in any way to affirm his actually correct reasoning and guesses.
