"Stop it."

"Stop what?"

"Stop trying to intimidate me. It won't work." Ririna stood from her seat and glared down at her husband.

He was always like this whenever something wasn't going his way. He instinctively used power on everything, including his relationship with his own family. It was almost like his second nature. Ririna had to remind herself that Eli had been accustomed to being in command, and he had never argued with anyone about his decisions.

"Don't you dare use that tactic on me. It won't work."

"So you still plan to disobey me. Why can't you just listen to me? It's for your own good."

"God damn it, Eli. I know you care about me. Don't you trust me? I'm your wife!"

"Exactly, and I expect you to act like one. You are supposed to listen to your husband."

Ririna felt a pain in her chest. She knew he was right, but her mind couldn't understand why he was trying to intimidate her? Why was he trying to control her?
