Kapitel 1: Prologue

When we die, we don't really ever expect to wake up again. However, that wasn't the case for me, I don't really remember much before I woke up here, not that I am entirely sure where here is exactly. I remember that I died I'm not really sure how just that it happened. To be honest most of my personal memories are either muted or gone, I don't even remember if I had a family, the only memories that really remain are those of popular media, skills, and subjects that I had seen and learned about when I was alive. I must say that I appear to have been a massive nerd both in fantasy novels as well as in academics.

Well now that we are all caught up on what has happened so far let me talk about where I currently am. I'm sat on the bank of an absolutely massive river it is so wide I can't even see the other bank, there is a great ruin of a city further up the river shrouded in mists it must have been so beautiful when it was inhabited.

Movement from the water caught my attention causing to focus back on the beautiful sight before me. There slowly moving towards me while slowly rising from the depth of the river is the most beautiful women I've ever seen. She is a relatively tall women with cascading curls of the deepest black curls, deep olive skin tone and bottomless black eyes. Her clothing was a flowing gown seeming made from the river water, she has an air of power around her that is both regal and welcoming.

I'm broken from my thought by the women reaching the shore and stepping onto it in front of me. She walked up to me and just stood there smiling softly at me.

"Do you know who I am? Do you know where you are?" She asked in a language that I couldn't place but somehow understood.

I could only shake my head in response although it did seem familiar like something I'd read about before.

"My name is Mother Rhoyne, and you are sat on the banks of my river. That ruin you see in the distance was once a great city, the city of Chroyane my children used to live there as well as other cities all along my waters. That was before the war with the dragonlords of Valyria, they brought three hundred dragons to that battle it proved too much for my children to handle. The fact that less than fifty dragons walked away from that was little consolation. The last of my children had to flee, led by Nymeria where they travelled till, they reached the land of Dorne. But even after all this time with the dragons gone from the world my children have not returned home, they have not returned to me." As this goddess told me her story, she sat next to me and used the water to show me images of what she was telling me. I could hear the grief and pain in her voice as she spoke about her peoples fate especially when telling me they had not returned.

From the information that she had given me I realized I was on Planetos specifically the western part of Essos along the great river Rhoyne. A people who I felt were never given the appreciation they deserved, these people who suffered a sad fate but had persevered and came out stronger. People in my world focused too much on the Starks and Targaryens when the most progressive and badass characters were rarely even talked about. The only thing that I didn't understand was why I was here in this world and why was this goddess telling all these things about her people.

"I died. Why am I here and why are you telling me all of this?" I asked, my voice calm. In response she smiled at me before she started to explain my reasoning for being here.

"You are right you did die but when you were alive you showed a love and appreciation for my people that I have rarely ever seen in any world. People often forget how wealthy and powerful we were." She paused at just looked at the ruin of Chroyane sadly for a few minutes before continuing.

"I'll admit that my reasoning for bringing you here was selfish, I want my children to come back to me, I want them to sail my waters again and to show others the power of the Rhoynish is still strong. But I know they won't come back to me, that my friend is where you come in. If you agree I will send you to get reincarnated into this world of mine so you can bring my people back home where they belong." She finished her short speech in a strong passionate voice a stark contrast to the soft melancholic voice from earlier.

To be honest that was a lot to take in, I had been brought here after my death and been given a mission to return this goddesses people back to their homeland. I already knew I was going to accept the task she had asked of me, simply because something deep inside of me was telling me that this was why I was born this was why I am here. But before I actually agree I need more information.

"When and where will I be born? Also, how will I know they will follow me back, the Rhoyne is currently infested with pirates and stone men. There are not exactly a lot of people who are willing to face that." I asked trying to be as respectful as I can be.

"You would be born as the second born and first son of Prince Doran Martell in the year 278 AC and they will follow you because you have the blood of Nymeria flowing through your veins. I will also gives you some boons of your choice to help you in your journey so long as they are in my power to give." She assured me with a patient smile on her face.

I thought for a few minutes on what would be able to help me achieve this huge undertaking ahead of me. After a long while I asked if what I thought of would be possible.

"I want to be able to waterbend like they can in Avatar as people will see it as me having water magic and the ability of being able to heal will help with curing the stonemen that currently inhabit the ruins along the river." I requested for my first boon from the goddess beside me.

"That is incredibly well thought out and completely doable, I will also give you the knowledge of how use those abilities. I will also give you access to the water magic of my children but that you will have to figure out on your own" She said completely blowing me away with the additions to my request, though a question did pop into my mind which I proceeded to ask.

"Will I be able to teach others to waterbend because that would be a great asset when dealing with the pirates and stonemen?" I asked cautiously not wanting to push my luck. She had a thoughtful face for a few seconds before seemingly nodding to herself.

"You will be able to teach those of Rhoynish blood and those who are faithful to me but not everybody will be able to have the gift, but do not worry for you will instinctually know those that do." She replied. I gave a quiet sigh of relief as that would make the plans that are already forming in my head considerably easier.

"Thank you. My next requests are all pretty much linked together, so I'll ask them all together. I want to have an eidetic memory so I will never forget anything I learn; I would also like to be a natural leader while also being gifted in martial matters. As well as being fairly good looking for I doubt people will follow someone ugly no matter how charismatic he is." I finished my list of request with bated breaths waiting for her to tell me I am being too greedy and punishing me. But surprisingly she only smiled at me softly while giving a quiet laugh at my last request.

"All very well thought out and surprisingly tame requests all things considered. And I shall grant all of what you asked for as they will truly help you. Being able to lead in both mind and weapon will truly aid you on your journey. Being able to heal those cursed with greyscale will truly help you get the love and devotion of the people. I look forward to my children once again traveling my waters." She finished again surprising me with how kind and giving this goddess is, making me proud being able to help and serve her. I'm knocked out of my thoughts by her standing up and walking back towards the river. With every step she seemed to grow in both height and power, once she reached the waters edge she turned around and I beheld her majesty for the first time, she was truly divine.

"Now go forth my child and fulfil your destiny. Bring my children back to me and become the leader they need, become the one true ruler and Prince of the Rhoyne." Her voice thundered with power causing waves in the water all across the surface of the river. Before I could ask anymore questions everything started to fade, and my journey began.
