Kapitel 118: 118. Derek hugs Mo Ling

When she was five, she saved him from his pursuers. His whole family died and he escaped with some of his bodyguards sacrificing their lives for a chance of his survival. At that time she was just a little girl who’s two years younger than him.

She sheltered him for six months providing him with food and water in spite of her mother's protest.

He witnessed her lively self turning into a cold indifferent personality. He saw her bleed with aching parts all over her body. He saw her tears falling in the starting years of her training, eventually becoming emotionless.

He came to her side and trained with her and her brother. Mora's mother gave him a chance and made him tough. His goal is to protect Mora and to become an extra layer of protection for her.

So although his heart ached when seeing the little girl struggling and transforming, he just kept her company knowing that it's necessary for her.
