This group of armed individuals was known as the soldiers of the Light Association, elite soldiers responsible for eliminating corporeal threats and acting as the reapers of exorcist priests who received the authority to summon them.
Anton, a direct descendant of the ShadowBane family, had full authority over most of these forces, so after summoning them, Anton exited the cabin.
"Sir, I'm Captain Hank from the first division. What are your orders?" Hank was the only one with an uncovered face; the other soldiers were completely covered in shock-resistant armor.
Anton, with a serene expression, looked at Hank in front of him and said, "Search for survivors, recover the bodies from this place, and send them to the facilities for investigation. Assuming this is a family, there should be more near these mountains, so eliminate all if you find humans with the same characteristics."
"What do we do with the survivors?" Hank asked ambiguously as he instinctively looked at Anton.
Anton looked at Jessie, smiled a little, and said, "Send them for rehabilitation and handle this case properly." For him, the most important thing at the moment was to ensure that none of these deformed people remained alive, regardless of their crimes.
To reach this state of madness, they must have gone through a laboratory, so it was prudent to search the entire forest. As for whether they were dark entities, to be honest, these deformed people were as evil as the demons themselves, so their total extermination was necessary.
"No live hostages?"
"Let none remain alive," Anton said as he walked outside. Now, with the flashlights of numerous soldiers, the place was well-lit, so it was only a matter of time before they started moving.
"We have survivors here!"
At that moment, Anton, who heard this over the radio, quickly approached the place where survivors were found and soon saw more than a dozen women coming out of what seemed to be a huge hole in the ground. The faces of these women were distraught; they had all been psychologically abused by the cannibals in this place, so their current appearance and demeanor were obvious.
While looking at all these people being pulled out of the underground tunnel, Anton immediately began to help them recover from any injuries that needed attention.
On the other hand, Hank, who had boarded motorcycles that had been lowered from a cargo helicopter, soon set off with a special search and elimination team.
"Zz… Eliminate any human figures you find in the forest. You have absolute authority to attack first and ask questions later."
Hank, seated at the back of a motorcycle, looked around and, after venturing deeper into the forest, ordered everyone to turn off their lights. The missions they normally had to execute were elimination missions, many of which were very bloody with a high number of casualties.
But they were the spearheads of the Light Association, and as such, they needed to make sure to fulfill any orders given to them without objections.
"Zz… I have heat signatures up front; I detected three figures moving towards the mountain on the right."
Hank, who had clear orders, said, "Zz... Eliminate all of them, do not expose yourselves, and be careful."
"Zz… Moving to the target on foot!"
A squad of twelve heavily armed men moved among the trees, soon noticing several figures in the distance moving with bows in their hands. One of them advanced and shouted, "Help, I'm lost!"
The sudden cry of one of the soldiers caught the attention of the figures moving towards the mountain. One of them raised their bow, and as soon as they saw the figure standing on a ridge, they shot an arrow.
Boom!
The arrow hit the chest of the person on the rock, but their armor was so perfect that the arrow bounced off their chest.
"Zz… Targets identified, eliminate them!"
Hank, who saw the aspects of those people in the distance, did not hesitate. He raised his weapon and pulled the trigger without hesitation.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Dozens of bullets penetrated through the trees; all these bullets gleamed in the darkness, and those three figures in the distance were completely torn apart within seconds.
"Zz… Ceasefire." Hank ordered coldly as he approached the figures that had been shot down in the distance. When his eyes could see the bodies of these people, he understood that they were not humans; they were definitely dealing with something superior and much more aggressive.
"May God have mercy on us." Hank closed his eyes for a moment before continuing to advance, following the traces of these people. Soon, they found another cabin hidden among the trees.
"Zz… Eliminate them!"
...
Anton walked around the cabin's surroundings; he could notice many things, but he would leave that to the logistics team because now he just wanted to clear his mind. He had been through a lot, but surely this was not the end of his journey, and there were still many things to do. Nevertheless, he wanted to take a small break to reaffirm his thoughts.
"Reaffirm my thoughts." Anton murmured, looking at his hands, with which he had ended numerous things, some from this world and others not. From now on, he must consider for whom he fights; only then could he save his peace of mind.
