Kapitel 96: You're my friend.
They stopped and looked at Usopp on the ground in front of the Franky House. He was battered and bruised with blood all over the place, even his nose was broken in several spots…
Luffy stepped over him and took the lead as the other 4 followed him.
He stopped in front of the door and his pupils constricted as he stomped on the giant door with a furious expression. He looked at Thirteen and said nothing. Thirteen looked at him and also said nothing.
Zoro grabbed his swords, Chopper transformed into Human Point, Sanji clenched his jaw, and White put his bloody bone helmet on.
The door flew into the building and smashed a man through the wall on the other side.
The laughter in the house abruptly stopped and a giant man squatted, pointing at Luffy and shouting "Who are you!?" one of the people said with a laugh "Maybe they're here to get revenge for that Long-nose idiot! Hahaha!"
The giant man laughed in Luffy's face and said "That Long-Nose loser was weaker than an ant! Hahaha! You're probably not much be-" before he could finish Thirteen jumped at him, grabbing his face and punching him in the eye.
The giant screamed and fell to his back as Thirteen kept punching with a bulging arm.
The room was silent as the only sound was the thudding of Thirteen's fist against the ground as his fist went through the giant's head, hitting the earth.
Thirteen kept going and didn't stop until there was nothing left of the giant's head, only a bloody pulp on the ground. He looked up at the rest with blood soaking his entire body and a flame burning in his eyes.
The rest moved too.
Sanji kicked people through the walls, Chopper slammed people into the ground, Zoro slashed people to the ground, White stomped people into the walls, and Luffy punched them into oblivion.
Thirteen lunged at another guy and headbutted him so hard, his head exploded like a watermelon.
The crew absolutely obliterated the entire Franky Family in less than 5 minutes.
Surprisingly, only a few of the Franky Family actually died.
They were the ones that Thirteen attacked.
The rest of them were alive with heavy wounds. If they didn't get treatment, they WOULD die. Which is the crew's style anyway.
Only Thirteen confirms his kills, the rest leave it to chance.
They had the same ideal, they beat them once, they can do it again so why bother?
The group left the building and Thirteen turned around before punching the air as hard as he could. The punch blasted a hole through the building and it started to collapse as the group picked up Usopp and left.
They returned to the Merry and Chopper treated Usopp's wounds in the galley as the rest sat at a table. Robin sat next to Thirteen and held her head up with her hand, looking at Usopp, saying "Long-Nose-kun had it rough."
The crew was silent and Luffy announced "The Merry is not fixable."
Everyone froze and looked at him, silent.
Luffy added "The Keel is broken. The shipwrights said that they would have to build a new ship." He thought of something and pulled out the catalog, adding "They gave me this." as he threw it on the table.
Zoro looked and said "A ship catalog?" Luffy replied "Iceberg said he'd give us a 50% discount." The crew was silent until Sanji sighed "Let's have a look then." They looked at him and he shook his head, adding "If Merry can't be fixed… we still need a new ship."
They looked down and Sanji opened the catalog, looking at the ships in silence. The rest started looking at the ships too as they kept silent.
Robin glanced at the catalog with a complicated expression on her face. It was quickly hidden by her calm smile, as if she was unperturbed by everything in the world.
Thirteen looked at the catalog and quickly lost interest. He stared off into the distance as the time passed.
Soon enough…
Usopp woke up.
He looked around at the crew before saying "Huh? What happened?" Luffy looked at Usopp and smiled "You're awake! That's good." Usopp rubbed his head and chuckled "I guess so…" Luffy nodded and said "Come here, we're looking for a new ship!"
Usopp froze and said "What?" Luffy showed him the catalog and smiled "These are the new ships! I-" Usopp started laughing and cut him off, wiping his eyes as he said "You're joking, right?! That's a good one, look even Chopper believes you!"
Chopper teared up and covered his mouth with his hooves.
Luffy slowly lost his smile as he said seriously "It's not a joke." Usopp froze and said "What. What did you say?" Luffy repeated himself "It's not a joke, we're getting a new ship. I've decided."
Usopp held his hands out and shouted "Wait! Is it because I lost all that money?! I can make it back! I'll sell a few things an-" Luffy shouted "It's not because of the money!" Usopp returned the shout "Then why is it?! Huh?! Tell me! Stop being considerate and tell me!"
He slapped the catalog out of Luffy's hands and shouted "Come on! Tell me! What's the reason if it's not because I got our money stolen!? I WANT TO KN-" Luffy grit his teeth and shouted "The Merry can no longer be repaired!"
Usopp frozen stiff as he stammered "W-What did… you say?" Luffy turned his head away and said "Don't make me repeat myself…" Usopp fell to his knees and Luffy added "It can no longer be repaired… Otherwise I wouldn't say this…"
Usopp slammed his hands on the floor and shouted "This ship! This ship that we're on right now?!"
Thirteen looked at Usopp as he shook in rage, Luffy said "It's true. This is what the Shipwrights told us… She'll sink!" Usopp raged on "And you believed them!? A bunch of strangers you met today?! What do they care about somebody else's ship!?"
He pulled himself on the ground, saying "I'll just repair the Merry like I always do… I'll go buy some Lumber at the Shipyard and do it myself. I won't give up on you, Merry!" Luffy shouted "You're not a shipwright, Usopp!"
Nami shouted "Luffy!"
Usopp shouted back "So?!" Luffy added "We don't have a shipwright! That's why we asked the people here! The ship is damaged beyond repair! She can't be fixed! What don't you understand?!"
Usopp got up and grabbed Luffy's collar angrily.
Thirteen stood up and Zoro stretched his arm out in front of him, Usopp shouted "What I don't understand is how could you abandon a member of the crew like that! It's the Merry! You're already happy to get a new ship!" Luffy shouted back "IT'S A SHIP! NOT A PERSON!"
Invisible waves were leaking from Luffy's body at this point and baring down on Usopp, who screamed "SHE'S STILL A FRIEND! ARE YOU GOING TO ABANDON A FRIEND!? BESIDES! WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE A CAPTAIN NOW?!"
Sanji walked over and said "Fighting isn't going to get you anywhere, just relax-" Luffy tackled Usopp to the ground and grabbed his overalls, shaking him as he said "I'M THE CAPTAIN! I MAKE THE DECISIONS! THE MERRY CAN'T BE FIXED, DO YOU THINK YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE THAT CARES?! WE ALL FEEL SAD, BUT WE CAN'T TRAVEL WITH HER ANYMORE! I MADE THE DECISION AND WHAT I SAY GOES! IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, YOU GET OF-"
Sanji kicked Luffy in the face extremely quickly, blasting him through the table Robin was sitting at. She took her hands back and laid them on her lap with a straight face, Thirteen looked at Sanji, his lips twitching into what looked like a frown but not quite.
Sanji shouted "What are you saying?! Idiot! You have to watch your mouth!" Zoro held Thirteen back, Thirteen looked at him and Zoro raised a brow seeing his mouth. He still shook his head and gave Thirteen a firm look.
Thirteen stared at him before turning to Luffy, who sat up and said softly "I'm sorry… I didn't me-" Usopp was laying on the ground, staring at the ceiling as he cut Luffy off, saying "It's okay. That's how you really feel, isn't it?"
Luffy's pupils shrank as he shouted "What are you saying!?" Usopp slowly sat up as he replied "Just cut off friends when they become useless… If you're gonna do that to the Merry…" he looked at Luffy with intense eyes and added "Why don't you do that to me too."
Sanji stepped in and said "Hey, Usopp. Stop saying bullshit like that." Usopp waved his arm and said "No. I'm serious. I've been thinking for a while… I can't keep up with everyone's monstrous strength. I don't have any talents… Or special powers…"
He paused before continuing "Luffy, the King of the Pirates doesn't need weak crewmates. I don't have to go that high up. We don't have to travel together when we have a difference of opinions! The only thing tying us together is you asking me to join you!"
Thirteen pushed Zoro's arm away and walked in front of Usopp. He raised his hand and swung it down, slapping Usopp in the face. He didn't use a lot of strength and Usopp turned his head to the side from the impact.
Thirteen looked at Usopp and Zoro grabbed his shoulder, saying "Enough. Don't get involved." Thirteen stared at Usopp and said "Then why are you still here." The crew went silent and looked at Thirteen in shock.
Usopp turned his head back to Thirteen and clenched his fists, stepping up and staring at Thirteen, right in the eyes, as he said "What do you mean." Thirteen stared at him and added "Why did you stay on this ship."
Usopp clenched his fists and trembled, saying "What's it to you!" Thirteen tilted his head and stayed silent for a few moments before saying "You're my friend." Usopp's pupils shrank and the rest were stunned.
Usopp trembled and shoved Thirteen to the side, saying "It doesn't matter. You'll get stronger friends." as he walked to the door. Sanji recovered and said "Wait! Usopp! Where are you going!?"
Usopp walked out the door and disappeared saying "Where I'm going is none of your business… I'm leaving the crew." Sanji's eye widened as he went for the door only for it to close in his face.
