A familiar voice is in my head—not mine, but another speaks out to me. A guy with a deep and silvery voice with a hint of a disquieting tone but ever so truer to me that I can't simply brush it off as intrusive thoughts- no, this... This was someone else speaking.
???: Are you ready to begin this eternal adventure?
I couldn't respond, despite that, though it seemed this stranger knew exactly what I was feeling yet thinking of it without even thinking of it. I had no idea what he meant by "eternal adventure," where I was, or how I got here; if possibly, it may be a dream- thoughts racing but not racing, as I was not thinking thoughts but more an instinct- feeling if you will. Until any movement happens, I would continue to listen, as that's all I could do.
???: 'Didn't think you'd survive the fall, did you? .... No, because I won't let you die- we won't let you die. You understand that feeling better than we do, right? You don't understand that this was the wrong place to fall, and now that you fell down here, our life won't end here.
M.C: ....
???: We are special; we are exclusive among all life; we are beings of infinite possibilities. Perhaps we could say that we are chosen. I'm really excited about this, are you?
Confused as ever, I remained listening. Schezz-Schweiz, Stizz...! I could hear sounds from near the voice; it was close, but I couldn't make out anything as everything was black all around me.
???: One of the many pieces of advice I will give is that you are most powerful when you believe that you are [redacted].
Just like that, signals firing in my brain explode, and I begin to wake up. I don't know why he said that; it caused my body to act like this, but I could tell one thing.
???: Hahaha... Alright, let's begin this adventure...
The life I might've had in the past was just an introduction to what was really in store for me—an adventure that would last for what would be an eternity.
Confused at first, yet so understanding of what it meant. I struggle once, twice, and finally, I get up.
I wake up in a bed full of flowers with light beaming over me. I look at my hands and check myself.
M.C: I feel... different... I hope something didn't change when I fell down here. I don't know why, but I should've... Y'know what? Never mind, let's move on.
Looking up from the light beaming at me, the surface. "So, I'm... underground? I thought. It seemed like a huge hole when I fell, but now small when looking up. The clouds are barely visible anymore, and there seems to be no way of returning by climbing up. Slight shivers, each step echo throughout the place. I look ahead of me and see an entryway further inside. I'm hesitant, but I move on anyway because there's no way I can go back.
M.C: It's so dark in here, not to mention that it's a little cold in here as well.
I comment, feeling hopeless about my situation.
I enter and see another bed of flowers with light seemingly only hitting the center of the room in that spot. I walked a couple more steps, and suddenly...!
???: Howdy! Who are you?
Background sounds start, which sounds more like music. It's simple sounding more kind of kiddish, I thought.
M.C: Ah! W-what-who are-?
I jump back in shock.
A flower—no, a sunflower bigger than the other flowers—arises from the bed of flowers.
???: My name is Flowey! Flowey the Flower! I shocked you, didn't I? Hehe.
I stand, putting my guard up, and then slowly release it.
A flower? It's a talking flower?! No, wait, that can't be. I must've hit my head really hard or something, I thought frantically.
Flowey The flower stands before you with a greeting. What will you do?
The voice! It came back, but it was narrating this time.
M.C: Uh, my name is Polly. I don't have a last name... At least I don't remember it.
Flowey The Flower: Hmmm...? Well, whatever! You are new to the UNDERGROUND, aren'tcha?
Polly: Y-yes, I am...?
I had a feeling I wasn't going to be alone, but I didn't expect to see a monster. So, they're still around, huh, I thought.
Flowey The Flower: GOLLY, you must be so confused! Here, I'll be the one to teach you how things work around here!
Polly: Thank you?
He's very energetic; I mean, he is a flower. He might not be so bad, I thought.
My surroundings start to feel different. The cold that was once here is gone now, and so is the ground dirt and grass too. What feels like solid ground but not like cement? I prepare myself.
Flowey: Are you ready? Here we go!
I see us boxed in a green outline around us. Even though it was confusing, I tried to remain calm.
Have some idea about my story? Comment it and let me know.
It would nice to know what you think. :)
