7.69% Pokemon: These Players are too annoying! / Chapter 6: Squirtle sweep

Kapitel 6: Squirtle sweep

"Who chooses first?"

"I choose!"

"Step aside so I can choose first!"

"This Pokémon is enough for everyone! Calm down!"

"Shut up! What if there's an awesome one in there?!"

The players argued among themselves, and seeing this, Red stepped in to intervene.

"Guide? Do you mean something?" NTRslayer asked, confused.

Red was trying to use body language, but no one understood him.

"You idiots, what he means is for you all to play rock-paper-scissors," Blue said bluntly.

"How are we supposed to know what he's saying when he hasn't even opened his mouth?" the players thought to themselves.

Then the group decided to play rock-paper-scissors.

"YAY! I'm the first!" Farmqueen said happily as she approached the five Poké Balls.

She thought for a moment about which Poké Ball to choose, then turned to ask Professor Oak,

"Excuse me, Professor, is there a Pokémon that is both cute and suitable for someone who doesn't know how to battle?"

"Don't know how to battle? Hmm…"

Oak walked over, took a ball, and handed it to her.

"I think this one suits you."

Seeing this, she pressed the button in the middle of the ball, and a four-legged creature with leaves on its head appeared.

Chikorita.

"KYAAAAA SO CUTE!!!" Her eyes sparkled with hearts as she quickly hugged Chikorita and rubbed her cheek against it.

Chikorita was startled and confused, wondering what was wrong with this person.

"My turn!" Cuckmaster stepped up and asked Oak if he had any cool Pokémon.

Professor Oak didn't answer, as judging Pokémon by their appearance is not good.

Seeing Oak's silence, Cuckmaster decided to choose one himself.

It was a blue small crocodile, grinning widely.

Totodile.

"Ayo, this one looks handsome!" Cuckmaster was about to pet Totodile.

Totodile looked at the hand in front of it and bit down.

"What?! Let go, you jerk! Help!!!" Cuckmaster cried out in pain, trying to pry Totodile's jaws open, but no one paid attention.

Bob walked over, didn't ask anything, and took a Pokémon.

What appeared was a green frog with red eyes.

Bulbasaur.

Fairygoth stared intently at Bulbasaur, making it uncomfortable as it followed Bob.

NTRslayer and Fairygoth approached to take the last two Pokémon.

NTRslayer's Pokémon was a hedgehog with squinty eyes, Cyndaquil.

Fairygoth's was a lizard with a fiery tail, Charmander.

Seeing that Charmander was just as cute as the others, Fairygoth was extremely pleased, hugging Charmander tightly as it struggled to escape but couldn't.

"Well, you all have your own Pokémon now! I hope you take good care of them and treat them as your partners!" Oak said cheerfully, going into a room to retrieve seven Pokédex and handing them out to everyone.

"I hope you all can become strong trainers in the future!"

Hearing that, the players continued to whisper among themselves.

"Professor Oak seems more like a guide than that mute guy."

"That mute guy has helped us, though?"

"I know, but he never talks. I suspect the real guide is Professor Oak."

Red ignored the players talking about him, he was about to leave and then Blue stopped him.

"Red, I want to see your Pokémon."

Blue's words caught the players attention. They were also curious about this Pokémon.

"Oh, and I just realized, is the mute guy's name Red?"

"Didn't they mention each other's names while talking? How can you not remember?"

"Sorry, I pay more attention to the Pokémon than to the names of other people."

"And that arrogant guy must be Blue."

"That's a simple name, doesn't this company know how to come up with better character names?"

Blue heard what the players were saying, and although he didn't understand everything, it was clear they were insulting his and Red's names.

Blue tried to remain calm as he looked at Red.

Red looked at his Poké Ball and decided to release his Pokémon.

What appeared before everyone was like a light descending from heaven. Fairygoth glanced over and immediately fainted on the spot.

It was a mouse with a lightning bolt-shaped tail, two round red cheeks, and slightly long ears.

However, the tail of this mouse was somewhat rounded, resembling a heart.

A female Pikachu.

Pikachu looked around, very cautious.

"Pikachu?" Blue said, his face slightly disappointed.

Is it just Pikachu? While it was strong against his Squirtle, its potential surely wouldn't match up.

Blue decided not to battle Red. Instead, he watched the players still gasping for breath on the ground from Pikachu's cuteness.

"Hey."

"?" The players looked up as Blue approached them, unsure of what he intended to do.

"Let's have a Pokémon battle. I'll take on all five of you at once."

… What?

They looked at Blue, seeing his arrogant expression, and became furious.

Of course, the angriest were the boys.

"ARE YOU LOOKING DOWN ON US?! FINE, LET'S GO, BROTHERS!" Cuckmaster stood up and pointed at Blue.

"Calm down! We don't even know how a Pokémon battle works, how can we fight an NPC?"

"I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT! I'M GOING TO TEACH THIS ARROGANT FUCK A LESSON!!!"

"Exactly! I just flirted with your sister a little, and you're acting all high and mighty with me?! Do you believe I'll become your brother-in-law someday?!"

Blue sneered in disdain, they were all talk and didn't know anything about Pokémon, which was why he felt confident taking them on.

"If you want to battle, then head to the back yard," Oak said gently.

He wasn't crazy enough to let them battle right here, especially with so many important documents around.

Seeing this, Red was about to pick up Pikachu, but she stepped back, looking at him cautiously.

Red understood. After all, many Pokémon wouldn't listen to their trainers if they don't like them. He had prepared for this, though he didn't expect it to be his first Pokémon.

He tried to communicate with body language, and Pikachu seemed to understand, reluctantly following Red while still keeping a few meters away.

The group made their way to the back yard, where Oak would act as the referee. He also explained the rules of battling to the players and informed them of their Pokémon's current skills.

Oak wasn't sure if the players remembered everything, but seeing them so excited, he decided not to dampen their enthusiasm.

Blue did a few warm-up exercises and then took out his Poké Ball, looking at the players with an arrogant expression.

Oak intended to remind Blue, but he knew he wouldn't listen. He hoped that one day someone would challenge Blue and win, so he could lecture him.

But today was definitely not that day.

"Alright, each of you can only use one Pokémon. When one Pokémon faints, the other side wins!"

Cuckmaster held his Poké Ball, staring straight at Blue.

"Blue vs Cuckmaster! The battle begins!"

Both of them threw their Poké Balls, and the two spheres opened, emitting red light.

Squirtle and Totodile appeared.

"Totodile! Bite that turtle head off!!"

Cuckmaster commanded Totodile, who quickly charged back, crashing straight into Cuckmaster's neck.

"WHAT THE?!! WHY DO YOU ALWAYS BUMP INTO ME, YOU DAMN CROC?!"

Blue sighed in boredom, ordering Squirtle to slap both of them with its tail.

Squirtle complied, moving in and using its tail, which glowed with light, to smack Cuckmaster in the face, sending both him and Totodile flying.

Cuckmaster and Totodile fainted.

"Cuckmaster has lost, Blue is the winner," Oak said, covering his face. He knew they would battle poorly, but who expected it to turn out like this?

"Keep going, I don't care if it's a girl or a boy," Blue said while recalling Squirtle.

Seeing Cuckmaster lose so miserably, the confidence of the remaining players dropped.

Yet, they still believed they would perform better than Cuckmaster.

… And so, Blue's Squirtle sweep through all the players' Pokémon.
