A week has passed since Paul has successfully enrolled to his new school, and today would be the day when his first day of classes would begin. To prepare for his classes, Paul already read his other three schoolbooks, besides How to breed a Pokemon and Pokemon Health, as he already read those two with his tutor's recommendation. The topic of the books was more on the basics, though they tackled their respective subject matters more in depth.
As he already read his books from cover to cover, Paul decided to just go on with his current studies and wait for the day when his classes would begin. After a week of wait, he's quite excited to finally go outside his house! It wasn't that he didn't go out of his house, in fact, he always goes out for walks and to visit the breeding house. It's just that majority of his time, he would be studying and training in the house. It's just a matter of fact as he's just currently three years old, and despite being an old soul, he couldn't justify on going outside all by himself.
'Finally!' Paul thought as he went down the car which stopped in front of Pokemon Trainers' School.
"Paul, remember to behave nicely, and keep your thoughts to yourself." Mary reminded her son, before kissing him on the forehead.
Paul was just about to retort but his father beat him on speaking first, "We know you, son. We know you're responsible enough, but sometimes you just make it awkward for people. Don't forget how you made few of the breeders in the breeding house cry as you doubted their Pokemon knowledge. Being honest is a good quality but being honest to a fault is not. Behave, I know you'll do us proud. Is that ok, son?" Joseph kneeled in front of his son and looked him in the eyes.
Whatever Paul might want to rebut with were gone up in the smoke as he saw his dad's look. He just nodded and embraced his dad and mom goodbye as he promised, "Okay fine. I'll try to be good and amiable. Or maybe quiet so they'll leave me alone. I have no peers my age anyways."
Mary wanted to encourage her son to make more friends, but Joseph held her back as he spoke to her, "Don't worry about Paul, I'm sure he'll make friends. He's just nervous because he has no one his age, but I've heard there are some children who got enrolled before being seven years old. They might be Paul's new friends." Mary nodded in reply before looking at Paul's back that disappeared from their sight.
Wiping the tears in her eyes, Mary embraced her husband as she muttered, "I know, but he just grew up so fast, and now he's already going to school at the age of 3! His peers are more than double his age, and he's alone there. Despite being mature, he's still my baby." She finished before she cried on her husband arms.
"I know, love, but this is a new page for Paul. Did you see how excited he was? How happy he was that he would finally learn more about Pokemons? To go somewhere else besides our house? It's hard, I know. I don't want him to experience any hardships either, but I want to trust him. We can't keep him in our cage forever. He's too brilliant for that. We just should support him when we can and watch him as he soars in the sky. Is that alright dear?" Joseph whispered in his wife's ears. There, they embraced for a few minutes before finally deciding to go home.
Paul wasn't able to witness his parents hushed conversation, but he was still mumbling about the event that his parents mentioned earlier as he walked to his classroom.
"Was it my fault that they were handling the baby pokemons wrong? They might be busy, but it wasn't an excuse to leave crying baby pokemons alone!" Paul muttered under his breath, as his frowningly made his way to the 1st year classroom.
They just wanted the comfort of somebody. After calming down and letting the baby pokemons sleep, he gave the few breeders responsible to the nursery department of the breeding house a tongue lashing. It was very embarrassing for them to be scolded by a three-year old child, and they knew they were wrong. They were so ashamed that they cried. Eventually, Breeder Barnes soothed out the conflict and warned them to not repeat it again. He also apologized to Paul, while dragging the crying breeders to apologize too. Paul didn't drag on the topic as he knew that occasionally they would be really busy and forget few of their duties, but he wanted that to not happen as little as possible.
Deciding to play nice, if not, polite, Paul went inside the classroom. He went inside but found that there are few people inside. They went quite early as Paul didn't want to be late to class. He found a seat near the front, that was also right by a window. He took the seat and proceeded to read a book as a pastime before classes starts, but not before taking Eevee and Ditto out from their pokeballs. Two Eevees beside him at his seat, as each student's table and chair were quite large.
Before he started reading, he noticed a light steel blue haired boy in front of him who seemed to have the same thinking as him; reading in order to wait for classes to start. The was a girl with long sakura pink hair beside him, who was also reading. He looked over a bit to see what they were reading.
The boy was reading a book regarding different fossil pokemons. As he already read that one, he recalled its title as Pokemon of Ancient. The girl, however, was reading a book that introduced business math. How did he know? He checked the progress of other fields in Pokemon World when he was able to read books. It was the mostly the same, though some are stagnant as they haven't really put more importance to them as there were Pokemons.
The girl with long sakura pink hair noticed Paul peering over them, thus whispered to the boy beside her who was taken out of his reverie in reading about fossil pokemons. The boy whispered back before both of them turned back to Paul. Knowing he was caught, Paul just laughed, noticing that the boy also has similar eye color to his hair, while the girl has amber colored eyes. They looked a bit over five-years old, similar to his physical appearance, which made him sigh of relief that there are someone near his age after all, as he initiated a conversation with both of them.
'Here goes nothing' Paul thought before speaking out, "Hello." he said with a polite smile.
Finally! School scenes! I think I'll enjoy writing this part of the book but also be stuck on how to proceed. Anyway, what do you think regarding the chapter? Write your thoughts on the comment section below! Reviews are welcomed. Also, don't forget to vote your power stones! Thank you!
