Chapter 8: Spinarak Attack

(Today, Mew and her friends are passing through a town called Catallia City.)

(famous for its magnificent buildings and the fascinating exploits of a legendary thief.)

(Suddenly, police sirens go off as a police car heads down the street.)

Misty: "Must be trouble,"

(Misty says.)

Jen: "Sure looks like it,"

(Jen replies.)

Brock: "Come on!"

(Brock says and rushes ahead.)

(Mew and the others hurry after him.)

Mew: "Wait up!"

(Mew calls out.)

Brock: "I bet that's Officer Jenny in that patrol car!"

(Brock says.)

(Suddenly, Brock trips and falls to the ground.)

Tomo: "That was a pretty short trip,"

(Tomo replies.)

(Mew kneels down.)

Mew: "Are you alright Brock?"

Brock: "I'm alright. I tripped on something,"

(Brock says.)

(Suddenly, Togepi and Pichu senses something.)

(Confused, Misty asks.)

Misty: "Togepi? Pichu? What's the matter?"

(Suddenly, some green spider-like Pokemon came down in front of Misty, with its back facing her.)

(It has two black dots and a line that resembles a face.)

(It has a white horn on its forehead, and a pair of red mandibles.)

Misty: "Oh, that's so cute,"

(Misty says.)

(Suddenly, the face on the spider's abdomen changed into an angry expression.)

(Soon, it reveals three pairs of yellow legs, each with a black band around the middle.)

(It has black eyes with white pupils.)

(And suddenly, the face on the spider changes to an angry one.)

(Misty screams in fright by the sudden appearance of the Pokemon.)

(Meanwhile, at a mansion, three familiar characters are sneaking around till they come to a locked storage shed.)

(Those familiar figures are Team Rocket.)

Jessie: "Do your thing, Meowth,"

(Jessie says.)

(Meowth then tries to pick the lock, but breaks his claw in the process.)

(Meowth almost screams out in pain, but Jessie stifles him.)

Jessie: "Be quiet!"

(Jessie angrily says.)

(Then James says.)

James: "They'll hear us!"

Jessie: "You're pathetic. The Black Arachnid's Meowth opened thousands of locked doors and you can't even open one,"

(Jessie says.)

Meowth: "He probably has thousands of keys,"

(Meowth says.)

Jessie: "We're trying to follow in the footsteps of the famous Black Arachnid, the greatest cat burglar in the history of crime! But you...you have to go and break a claw,"

(Jessie scolds.)

Meowth: "Those are the breaks,"

(Meowth says.)

(Finally, James picks the lock himself, and it opens.)

James: "It worked! I'm a burglar!"

(James says.)

Jessie: "Ooh. Nice work, James,"

(Jessie complements.)

James: "Thank you. I agree,"

(James says.)

(They soon open the doors and find, and soon find what they're looking for.)

(A special handmade bowl.)

(James picks up the bowl and says.)

James: "Look, Jessie. This is the kind of pottery that you only find in museums and art collections. One little bowl like this is worth an absolute mint."

Jessie: "James, you could use a breath mint,"

(Jessie whispers.)

(Suddenly, someone spots them.)

???: "Hey!"

(Jessie and James turn to see someone as they call out.)

the guard: "What are you doing here?!"

Jessie: "We were just leaving,"

(Jessie says.)

(Jessie chuckles.)

Jessie: "We are the Black Arachnid 2!"

(James sweat drops and says.)

James: "Come on, Jessie! I've got it. Now let's make our getaway."

Jessie: "Alright. Do it, team!"

(Jessie says.)

Meowth: "Right. Pay Day,"

(Meowth says.)

(Meowth then uses Pay Day to attack the guards.)

(Sometime after the escape, Officer Jenny and the police have roped off the mansion as the crime scene.)

(There, they see a few coins in their place.)

(Officer Jenny observes them and says.)

Officer Jenny: "Looks like, Pay Day."

(Two officers approach Officer Jenny.)

(Officer Jenny 1 says,)

Officer Jenny 1: "It's the third house this week, Jenny."

(Officer Jenny 2 says.)

Officer Jenny 2: "Somebody is definitely imitating the crimes of The Black Arachnid, but we still don't know who."

Officer Jenny: "Then we'll just have to catch them,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

Officer Jenny 2: "Yes, ma'am"

(Officer Jenny 2 says.)

(Officer Jenny turns her head away and says.)

Officer Jenny: "I consider this an insult to the police force."

(Then turns to the police.)

Officer Jenny: "Have the Spinarak reinforce the webs. The Black Arachnid is our top priority."

(Just then, a third officer comes over and says.)

third officer: "I think we got him!"

(However, soon the police find Mew, her friends, and all their Pokemon trapped in a ball of webbing.)

(Officer 3 says.)

Officer 3: "We found them caught in a Spinarak web about a half mile down the road."

Officer Jenny: "They don't look like criminals!"

(Officer Jenny says.)

(Brock confirms it.)

Brock: "She's right, we're not! These Spinarak webs are pretty tight."

Pikachu and Eevee: "Pika/Eev!" (No kidding!)

(Pikachu and Eevee cry out.)

Misty: "Help us, Officer Jenny!"

(Misty cries out.)

Tomo: "These webs are really strong,"

(Tomo adds.)

Jen: "I can't move!"

(Jen cries out.)

(Moments later, Officer Jenny and the other officers help Mew and the others get unwebbed.)

(Officer Jenny apologizes.)

Officer Jenny: "I apologize. We hung those webs to catch the thief who's been imitating The Black Arachnid."

Tomo: "The Black A-what-nid?"

(Tomo says, confused.)

Brock: "The Black Arachnid was a famous thief who lived in this town a full century, or one hundred years, ago. Right, Jenny?"

(Brock answers.)

(Misty kneels down.)

Misty: "Well, look at what was left behind. Maybe it's a clue about the thief. I wonder what it could mean."

(Mew kneels down and picks up one of the coins.)

Mew: "It looks like a coin from Pay Day."

(Seeing the group Officer Jenny realizes something.)

Officer Jenny: "Wait a minute. Pikachu? Eevee? Togepi? Pichu? I don't suppose you kids are those professional Pokemon crime fighters I've heard about, are you?"

Mew: "What makes you say that, Officer Jenny?"

(Mew asks.)

(Officer Jenny explains.)

Officer Jenny: "You see, I just got a letter from my sister in New Bark Town. She told me all about how a group of trainers like you, helped her crack a Pokemon burglary case."

Mew: "Oh, she means when we rescued the Totodile,"

(Mew understands.)

(Brock salutes.)

Brock: "That's us! We're professional Pokemon burglary investigators at your service."

Misty: "What's that mean?"

(Misty asks.)

(Jen giggles and says.)

Jen: "It means he'll say anything to impress Officer Jenny."

Tomo: "No kidding,"

(Tomo says.)

(Suddenly, two spiders drop down in front of Misty, surprising her.)

Misty: "Oh, more Spinarak!"

(Misty says, surprised.)

Officer Jenny: "That's right,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

(Then one of the Spinarak crawls onto Officer Jenny's shoulder.)

Officer Jenny: "This one's the cutest one on the force,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

(Then the other one decides to land on the ground and crawls on Misty's head.)

(Jen giggles.)

Jen: "I think that one likes you."

Misty: "I suppose,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "That's a Spinarak alright,"

(Mew says.)

(Mew takes out her Pokedex, and Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Spinarak, the String Spit Pokemon. A Bug and Poison Type. Spinarak can climb any surface easily and shoot a strong web from both the front and back of its body. Its prey is caught and held tight in its webs."

(Then Mew asks.)

Mew: "Why do you use Spinarak for police work and not Growlithe?"

officer Jenny: "It's a long standing tradition in Cattalia City to use Spinarak on the force instead. As a matter of fact, it all started with the original Black Arachnid,"

(officer Jenny says.)

Jen: "Really?"

(Jen asks.)

officer Jenny: "That's right,"

(officer Jenny says.)

(Then she explains.)

officer Jenny: "The Black Arachnid was a criminal mastermind who was as famous for his stealthiness as he was for his stealing. His quick, sneaky movements made it hard to tell him from the Meowth that was his partner in crime and earned him the nickname 'The Cat Burglar'. Whenever it looked like they were close to being captured, Meowth would use Pay Day and scare the police off. Then, one day, they met their match, Officer Jenny. My ancestor from eight generations ago and her loyal Spinarak. They waited patiently until the thieves tried to flee the scene of their latest crime, and then, using Spinarak's beautiful web, stopped them in their tracks. That wrapped up the case once and for all, quite literally."

(The story ends as Mew and the others enter the police station with Officer Jenny.)

Officer Jenny: "You know, these two Spinarak are descendants from the same one that helped my ancestor all those years ago,"

(Officer Jenny adds, showing the Spinarak on her back, and pointing to the one on Misty's head.)

Spinarak: "Spinarak," (Guilty as charged.)

(Spinarak on Jenny's back says.)

Mew: "That's really cool,"

(Mew says.)

Brock: "Guess it runs in the family,"

(Brock says.)

(Misty looks at the Spinarak on her head.)

Misty: "That's pretty cool, huh Spinarak."

Misty: "Spinarak," (Thank you.)

(Misty says.)

(Soon, they enter the room and to Mew and her friends' surprise, they see a lot of police officers with Spinarak.)

Mew: "Look at all the Spinarak!"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "This place is crawling with them!"

(Misty says.)

(Then Officer Jenny says.)

Officer Jenny: "Until she caught The Black Arachnid, my ancestor was the only one using a Spinarak. But ever since then, all the Jennies have built such close relationships with their Spinarak that they're our most valued partners."

Brock: "I wish I was a Spinarak,"

(Brock says, lovey dovey.)

(Then Misty grabs Brock's ear and pulls him away.)

Misty: "Then you'd have 6 left feet!"

(Then Mew volunteers.)

Mew: "I'd like to help you catch the thief, Officer Jenny."

Officer Jenny: "Great,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

Mew: "It's our duty to show them it's wrong to use Pokemon to help commit a crime,"

(Mew says.)

Officer Jenny: "You really are Pokemon crime fighters, then, aren't you?"

(Officer Jenny complements.)

Mew: "I don't know about that, but I feel that we've been doing,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "I guess you're right. We've been stopping a few wrong doings and helping people,"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "Like how we stop Team Rocket,"

(Tomo says.)

Jen: "That sounds about right."

(Brock takes Officer Jenny's hand and says.)

Brock: "Don't worry, Officer Jenny! Just leave this to me. I'll catch the thief."

Officer Jenny: "Uh, thanks,"

(Officer Jenny says, unsure.)

(Mew then says.)

Mew: "We can do it, guys. We're gonna get rid of that Arachnid, once and for all."

(Meanwhile, at the near top of the clock tower, Team Rocket looks over the city.)

(With pride, Jessie says.)

Jessie: "My plan is working beautifully. But if we want to be celebrated criminals, we'll have to make a bold move. These small heists may be nice, but they won't elevate us to legendary status."

(Meowth is busy eating food from the bowl they stole and says.)

Meowth: "Just one question, will they at least elevate us to the top of this tower next time? If you make me climb all those stairs again, I'm gonna keel over."

James: "At least what that twerpette did was good for something. Meowth can use the real Pay Day,"

(James says.)

Meowth: "Yeah. That kid sure helped me back there, maybe she can teach me some more attacks."

(Meowth says and is still eating.)

(James cries out to see Meowth eating the food from.)

James: "Meowth! Why are you eating out of that priceless piece of pottery?!"

Meowth: "It makes the chow taste better,"

(Meowth says.)

(James continues to cry out.)

James: "What made you think you could eat your lunch out of a priceless masterpiece like that?!"

Meowth: "I got bowls over,"

(Meowth says.)

(Jessie presses her foot on Meowth's head.)

Jessie: "Instead of stuffing yourself, you could be learning some new attacks."

(Meowth leaps and scratches Jessie's face.)

Meowth: "That's it! I quit! I'll catch Pikachu and Eevee myself!"

(Jessie grabs Meowth.)

Jessie: "Hey! Forget about Pikachu and Eevee! We're onto bigger and better things! We're following in the footsteps of The Black Arachnid, Meowth, and we need your help!"

Meowth: "Okay. I knew you'd come crawling back,"

(Meowth says.)

(Jessie sighs and sweat drops.)

(Then James asks.)

James: "So then, what do we do next?"

(Jessie thinks for a minute and has an idea.)

Jessie: "I've got it! We'll announce our next crime in a letter to the victim!"

James: "What do you mean?"

(James asks.)

(Jessie explains.)

Jessie: "The Black Arachnid was known for taunting his victims exactly the same way. If we tell them what we're going to steal, they'll be waiting for us with the police, then we'll slip out with it right under their noses!"

James: "This sounds so exciting! It might even make us famous,"

(James says, liking the idea.)

Jessie: "You bet it will. Once we fake out their stakeout,"

(Jessie says.)

(Then Jessie and James chuckles.)

Meowth: "Did someone say steak?"

(Meowth questions.)

(Meanwhile at the police station, Mew and the others are making a plan to catch the Black Arachnid.)

Brock: "Attention, the Crime-Fighters Committee will now come to order,"

(Brock says.)

(Then turns to Officer Jenny.)

Brock: "How did you like that, Officer Jenny?"

Tomo: "Well, we need to come up with a plan to capture the Black Arachnid,"

(Tomo says.)

Tomo: "And since he has a Meowth, we might have to deal with it as well,"

(Tomo says.)

Misty: "That sounds about right. And who knows if the Black Arachnid has other Pokemon,"

(Misty says.)

Jen: "But how are we going to capture the Black Arachnid?"

(Jen asks.)

Mew: "It would help if we knew where the Black Arachnid is going to strike next,"

(Mew says.)

(Just then, a police officer walks in and says.)

police officer: "Excuse me, I have terrible news. The Black Arachnid is planning another robbery!"

(Everyone gasps in shock.)

(Officer Jenny asks.)

Officer Jenny: "Where did you get this information?"

(Soon, everyone arrives at another mansion where the news of the soon to be victim would be.)

(The owner of the mansion says in tears.)

The owner: "It'd dreadful! He's bragging about it already! He's after my trophy! The letter he sent says he'll strike at midnight!"

Officer Jenny: "I should've expected this. The original Black Arachnid sent letters, too,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

Brock: "He's awfully sure of himself, isn't he?"

(Brock replies.)

(Then Mew says.)

Mew: "We're not gonna let him get away with this, Officer Jenny."

Officer Jenny: "Right,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

(The owner turns to the group and asks.)

The owner: "Who are these people?"

Officer Jenny: "They're all professional investigators,"

(Officer Jenny answers.)

The owner: "Great! Then they can help. Friends, you must teach this copycat a lesson,"

(The owner says.)

(Later, Mew and the others are searching around as the clock strikes 5 in the afternoon.)

(The owner begs.)

The owner: "I'm begging you. Please, save my trophy."

Officer Jenny: "Yes sir. We'll protect it. Nothing can go wrong when we've got Pokemon covering our backs,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

Mew: "Don't worry, we'll do everything we can to protect your trophy,"

(Mew says.)

The owner: "Well…"

(The owner says, unsure.)

(Then Officer Jenny says.)

Officer Jenny: "You're in good hands with a record like that. Just leave it to us."

The owner: "Alright, then. I'll take your word for it, officer,"

(The owner says.)

(Soon, everyone heads outside,)

(Mew throws her Pokeball and calls out.)

Mew: "Okay, let's go, everybody!"

(Mew calls out Charizard, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Heracross, Lucario, Zo the Shiny Hisuian Zorua, and Shiny Glaceon

(Impressed, Officer Jenny says.)

Officer Jenny: "Wow! Just look at all these different types of Pokemon! I guess I should've expected it, seeing as you're all professionals."

Mew: "Right,"

(Mew says.)

(Suddenly, Heracross starts drinking nectar from Bulbasaur's bulb, and Bulbasaur swats Heracross away.)

(Mew crosses her arms and says.)

Mew: "Heracross, what did I tell you about sucking the nectar from Bulbasaur's bulb."

(Heracross stops and apologizes.)

(Soon, Mew calls out to her Pokemon.)

Mew: "Squirtle, you hide in the pool."

(Squirtle dives in the pool.)

Mew: "Bulbasaur, you and Zo hide in the flower patch!"

(Mew says.)

(Bulbasaur and Zo jump into the patch and hide.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Climb up that tree, Heracross!"

(Heracross climbs on the tree.)

Mew: "Charizard, Lucario, Glaceon, you go...wherever you want,"

(Mew says.)

(Soon, Charizard, Lucario, and Glaceon head over to the Blastoise fountain and stand still like statues.)

Mew: "Can you stay like that?"

(Mew asks.)

(The three Pokemon nod their heads.)

(Then Officer Jenny informs her Spinarak.)

Officer Jenny: "Spinarak, you'll be on standby, too."

(Spinarak nods and shoots a web to the branch of a tree and travels on the web.)

(Misty turns to her new Spinarak friend.)

Misty: "Spinarak, you help too."

(Spinarak nods its head and helps Jenny's Spinarak shoot out the webs.)

Misty: "They're quick, aren't they?"

(Misty asks.)

(The two Spinarak proceed to make a giant web to catch the thief, amazing the group.)

Mew: "I can't believe all that thread came from a couple of Spinarak!"

(Mew says, amazed.)

Officer Jenny: "And now that we've got the whole mansion surrounded, we'll be sure to catch The Black Arachnid no matter which way he goes. The web's so strong, he'll never be able to get out of it. He'll learn a lesson alright,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

(Then calls out.)

Officer Jenny: "Are all the Pokemon in place, Spinarak? We'll be in the mansion waiting for midnight!"

(The two Spinarak agree.)

(And so, later in the night, the group and Officer Jenny wait for the Black Arachnid to make his move inside.)

(Everyone is getting sleepy all the while.)

(Meanwhile, the Pokemon wait patiently outside.)

(Back in the mansion, Mew and the others are still waiting.)

(Jen lets out a yawn in reply.)

Misty: "Tired Jen?"

(Misty asks.)

(Jen nods her head in reply.)

Mew: "Just hang in there a little more. It's just five minutes till midnight,"

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "It is almost midnight. I think this thief must not be a very polite person. He's keeping us up way past regular curfew, right, Brock?"

(Tomo replies and turns to Brock.)

(But Brock says.)

Brock: "I don't have a curfew."

Officer Jenny: "We haven't caught a thing in any of our webs,"

(Officer Jenny says, looking out the window.)

(Soon enough, the clock strikes midnight.)

(Everyone waits patiently, but nothing seems to happen.)

Mew: "No one seems to be coming,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Misty says.)

Misty: "Maybe it's a trick.

(Brock says.)

Brock: "I'm awake! I'm awake! I'm awake! I'm getting up! That's right."

(But soon, Brock falls asleep over and feels stiffness from sitting the whole time.)

Brock: "But my legs are asleep!"

(Brock says.)

(Soon, the owner rushes over and says in relief.)

the owner: "Oh! My trophy's safe! And there's no sign of the thief."

Officer Jenny: "Didn't I tell you everything would be alright?"

(Officer Jenny replies.)

The owner: "I am most grateful to you. Please accept this meal as a small token of my appreciation and esteem. Chef!"

(The owner says.)

(With the clapping of his hands, the owner's chef and cook come out with a meal for them.)

Brock: "That's very nice. The cart is on my hand!"

(Brock says.)

(Later, Mew and the others have finished eating their meal.)

Mew: "That was good,"

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "The food is great,"

(Tomo says.)

Misty: "I don't think I even remember the last time I ate so much,"

(Misty says.)

Jen: "Even the Pokemon like it,"

(Jen says.)

(Then the owner says.)

the owner: "I guess that means you won't have room for dessert."

Tomo: "No, sir,"

(Tomo says.)

(And Misty says.)

Misty: "He means yes."

(Suddenly, the lights go out.)

Mew: "Who turned out the lights?"

(Mew asks.)

(Soon, several spotlights in different colors appear, along with familiar voices.)

Meowth: "Pay Day! Pay Day!"

(Meowth's voice calls out.)

(And soon, multiple coins fall to the ground.)

Mew: "Who's there?!"

(Mew demands.)

(Soon, Team Rocket slid down the ropes through the ceiling.)

(The owner cries out.)

The owner: "Cat burglars!"

Officer Jenny: "Police! You're under arrest!"

(Officer Jenny calls out.)

(Tomo demands.)

Tomo: "How did they get in?!"

(And Soon Team Rocket performed the motto.)

Jessie: Check your eyes and prepare for trouble!

James: We've got the prize, so make it double!

Everyone: "Team Rocket!"

(Mew and her friends exclaim.)

Jessie: To protect the world from its own greed.

James: To steal all the treasure that they don't need.

Jessie: To work every heist like there are none other.

James: And split the spoils with one another.

Jessie (removes mask): Jessie.

James (removes mask): James.

Jessie: Thieves return under cover of night.

James: Surrender now, or prepare to fight.

Meowth: Meowth! That's right!

(Mewoth soon looks and screams in shock to see what he's looking at, the empty food tray.)

(He then cries out.)

Meowth: "This ain't a stakeout, it's a pig out!"

Jessie: "Where are your manners?! Aren't you going to offer us anything?!"

(Jessie demands.)

(James shouts.)

James: "Talk about rude!"

Mew: "There's no way! How'd you get in here?!"

(Mew demands.)

(James answers.)

James: "If you must know, we've been hiding out in the attic, all day. Well, at least since we left the letter."

Jessie: "In other words, we outwitted you again,"

(Jessie says.)

(Then Officer Jenny says.)

Officer Jenny: "I didn't think you'd be able to get through our webs and Pokemon. Nor did I expect you to get those kids to help you out."

Tomo: "So, why didn't you come at midnight like the letter said?"

(Tomo asks.)

Meowth: "Uh, we fell asleep,"

(Meowth answers.)

(Everyone stumbles in disbelief.)

Misty: "Typical,"

(Misty says.)

(Then Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Well, copycat burglars need their cat naps, too. Now, enough chat. Pay Day!"

(And with that, Meowth uses the Pay Day attack.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Quick Eevee, swat them away with Iron Tail."

(Eevee charges and uses Iron Tail to swat the Pay Day attacks.)

(That distracts the group long enough for them to escape.)

Mew: "Wait up!"

(Mew calls out.)

(Soon, Mew and the others chase Team Rocket and hurry outside.)

(Soon, Team Rocket begin their escape on their balloon.)

(The owner cries out.)

The owner: "They got my precious trophy!"

Mew: "Don't worry, we'll get it,"

(Mew says.)

(From the balloon, Jessie calls out.)

Jessie: "Ta ta, twerps!"

James: "I think we really made out like bandits that time!"

(James calls out.)

(Then Meowth says.)

Meowth: "It was the purr-fect crime."

(Suddenly, the balloon stops in mid-air.)

(Jessie asks.)

Jessie: "Why aren't we going anywhere?"

Meowth: "What's the holdup with this holdup?"

(Meowth asks.)

(James cries out.)

James: "This is a drag! We're stuck in a net!"

(Indeed, the balloon is actually caught by the two Spinarak webs.)

Meowth: "It's a drag net!"

(Meowth cries out.)

Mew: "Alright! The two Spinarak caught Team Rocket in its web!"

(Mew says.)

(Then Officer Jenny says.)

Officer Jenny: "History's repeating itself. Anyone using the name 'The Black Arachnid' in this town is destined to be caught by a Spinarak."

Jessie: "Now we're never gonna get famous,"

(Jessie says, upset.)

James: "I know, but we still have fans,"

(James says.)

(Team Rocket then bring out their literal fans and try fanning their way forward.)

Misty: "Do something, Mew!"

(Misty cries out.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "All together, now! Here we go! Squirtle, Water Gun, now!"

(Squirtle fires.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Bulbasaur, use Razor Leaf!"

(Bulasaur uses Razor leave to cut right into Team Rocket's balloon.)

Mew: "Zo, Lucario, climb on Charizard's back. Charizard, fly them up,"

(Mew says.)

(Zo and Lucario climb on Charizard and Charizard takes to the sky.)

(Officer Jenny turns to Spinarak.)

Officer Jenny: "Spinarak, hold the Balloon.

Misty: "You too, Spinarak,"

(Misty says.)

Team Rocket: "Crash landing! Brace yourself!"

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Lucario, throw Zo up. Zo give them your scratch attack."

(Lucario then says.)

Lucario: "Right."

Zo: "You got it,"

(Zo replies.)

(Lucario then throws Zo until she is in the basket.)

(Team Rocket panics to see the little Zorua.)

(Zo then swats Team Rocket's faces with their tail and gives them the scratch attack.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Now, Charizard! Tackle 'em and send them flying!"

(Charizard performs a tackle causing all the loot to fall out of the basket as Team Rocket blasts off.)

(Jessie cries out.)

Jessie: "Oh no! Our treasure!"

Meowth: "Our horde's overboard!"

(Meowth says, chuckles sheepishly.)

(Jessie and James scream.)

Jessie and James: "Don't laugh!"

(Then all three scream.)

Team Rocket: "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Everyone, get ready to play a little catch!"

(Soon, all humans and Pokemon manage to catch all the treasures.)

(The trophy is the only one that is still falling.)

The owner: "My trophy!"

(The owner cries out.)

(Misty trunks to her Spinarak friend.)

Misty: "Quick Spinarak, use String Shot!"

(Spinarak acts fast and uses a String shot to catch the trophy and pulls it right to her, and Misty catches it.)

(The owner walks over in relief.)

The owner: "My trophy is safe!"

Misty: "Thanks to you, Spinarak,"

(Misty says.)

(Officer Jenny walks over and says.)

Officer Jenny: "Good job. We're so lucky you professionals happened to be in town."

(The next day, at the police station.)

Officer Jenny: "Everything that was stolen is back in the hands of its rightful owners. I can't thank you enough,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

(Brock happily says.)

Brock: "We're so glad we could be of service to you, Officer Jenny. If you ever need professional help in the future, we hope that you'll think of us, first. In fact, you should give me your phone number."

(Misty grabs Brock by his ear.)

Misty: "Believe me, she's got your number."

Officer Jenny: "I know one thing for sure, you won't be forgotten for what you did in Catallia City,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

Tomo: "Yeah. Maybe someday, we'll be legends ourselves,"

(Tomo says.)

(Meloetta and Skwovet agree.)

Officer Jenny: "I wish you all the best on the rest of your journey. Good luck,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

Mew: "Thanks,"

(Mew says.)

(Then the Spinarak climbs on Misty's head and is pretty happy.)

(Officer Jenny says.)

Officer Jenny: "You know Misty, I can see that Spinarak really likes you. You don't mind if she comes with you."

Misty: "You don't mind?"

(Misty asks.)

Officer Jenny: "I can see Spinarak doesn't mind,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

Spinarak: "Spinarak,"

(Spinarak happily says with a nod.)

(Misty laughs and says.)

Misty: "Alright then, looks like we'll be a team from now on."

(Spinarak is happy to hear that.)

(Soon, Mew and her friends depart.)

(Officer Jenny says her goodbyes.)

Officer Jenny: "Take care now!"

(Mew and her friends say their goodbyes and Jenny and Spinarak say their farewells.)

(A job well done and all the treasures have been returned.)

(And Misty has a new friend on the team.)

(Meanwhile, out in the woods, Team Rocket is weeping over their lost loot.)

(Jessie cries out.)

Jessie: "Our treasure!"

(Jessie angrily says.)

Jessie: "It's all your fault! I mean it! If you two hadn't fumbled that burglary or hired those kids we'd be rich and famous by now! I'll make you pay for this!"

James: "Why should we?"

(James asks.)

Meowth: "We're broke,"

(Meowth says.)

(Jessie angrily says.)

Jessie: "You knuckleheads give an entire new meaning to that old expression thick as thieves."

Meowth: "You better watch who you're calling thick!"

(Meowth says, feeling offended.)

(Then James says.)

James: "You know I'm watching my weight and hiring those kids was your idea because you planned to double-cross them anyway!"

Jessie: "Pipe down, I was talking about the size of your heads not the size of your waists,"

(Jessie says.)

(Then the three start brawling against one another.)
