Kapitel 5: Pokémon Chapter: 5 A New Move Learnt
Waking up after passing out for a few hours, Troy opened his eyes to see weedle on top of him, looking concerned. Seeing this, Troy told weedle, "Don't worry, Bud, I'm okay, but how about you? That electric shock must have hurt you."
Weedle showed that it was okay and didn't get hurt that much. Just as Troy was about to look away, his eyes started to show new information when looking at Weedle, and what surprised him most was that Weedle had learned a new move.
Troy quickly looked at the new information to see what had changed.
Pokémon: Weedle
Level: 7
Ability: Run away.
Aura: Gold
Moves: bug bite, string shot (B), poison sting (B), electroweb
Seeing all this new information and new move, Wendell shouted in joy, hearing a bang on the walls. Troy quickly shut up, looking at the time. It was nearly midnight, but Troy didn't feel that tired, and neither did Wendell. Like they were full of energy, instead of going to sleep, they headed back to the aiming grounds to practice string shooting.
After what seemed to be about 48 minutes, weedle had finally had enough from relentlessly shooting string shots. Troy, seeing this, looked at how long weedle had gone for and saw that weedle had improved by 3 minutes and hit still hadn't been day. Next, they went to the running grounds to improve weedles stamina and speed while also using poison sting. The timing of the weedles speed seemed to still be the same, but Troy noticed that the poison sting seemed to have improved a little.
About 3 hours had gone by with weedle training, so Troy started to head back down to his dorm and get weedle food ready for it to eat. Thinking about how he can train electroweb without people seeing his ace up his sleeve, Troy looked to see if there were any private training rooms. After looking around on his bracelet, Troy finally found it, but what stopped him from using it was that he didn't have enough points as he spent most of it on oddish leaves as well as a taser to help weedle learn a new move, leaving him with only 350 points.
Thinking of a way that Troy could earn points, he was looking around. Yes, he could go to the training grounds, but trying to score a good number of points to gain only about 10 wasn't enough.'
So, Troy had gone to look around the base to see if there were any ways to earn points. After walking around for an hour, Troy was about to give up until he heard some other rookies talking about earning points by betting on points in Pokémon battles. Hearing this, Troy went up to them and said, "Excuse me, sir, did you say there was a betting place for Pokémon battles to earn points? If so, will you kindly tell me where it is?" Hearing Troy ask them, they could only say, "Well, I don't really remember where the battles take place; maybe a couple of points will make me remember; how about 50 points?" Thinking Troy tried his best to lower the points as best as he could by 35 points and agreeing on the amount, the man said, "The betting is held in block D for rookies, though it won't start until tomorrow."
After getting all the information Troy was able to get, he headed back to his dorm to finally get some rest so he could be ready for tomorrow. As Troy fell asleep, he started to dream about an egg that seemed to be a Pokémon egg. Walking up to it, he could see the egg shaking as if it were ready to hatch soon. Just as he was about to touch it, Troy suddenly heard a beeping sound. Waking up Troy saw his bracelet waking him up, only to see that a message was telling him to come to block A and that it was mandatory.
After seeing the message, Troy started to get ready to be there on time, as he wouldn't want to miss it if it was important. Once arriving there, Troy had seen a few people as most of everyone was not here. Waiting for 20 more minutes, most people started to show up. Seeing this, Jester had appeared. "Welcome, my little clowns. You may be wondering why I called you here on the second day. Well, that is because most have realized that you had gotten bracelets and a few poke balls, as well as 1000 points." After hearing this, some people started to make a muck about not receiving this, but Jester just ignored them.
"You may be wondering how you can also earn points. Well, that's the hard part for you to earn points, which is to capture us good Pokémon, as we will only take strong Pokémon or sell us expensive rare items that you don't need. So we are going to teleport you out to Peter City, where you will be able to capture or steal people's Pokémon and sell them to us. We don't really care how you obtain your Pokémon; just bring us strong Pokémon, and everyone will be happy."
Hearing all this, Troy raised his hand. Jester, seeing this, told Troy to talk, "Sir, will this affect the tournament coming up?" Jester, hearing this, replied, "Good question. We will only be allowing the Pokémon you have gotten from us; any outside Pokémon will not be allowed, so make sure to keep training your main Pokémon; that will be all." Jester soon vanished.
Troy, having gotten the information he needed, decided against trying to catch any other Pokémon for his team, going back to his dorm. Troy was getting ready and packing his stuff as he was going to head to Pewter City and head to Viridian Forest to capture Pokémon for points.
