Her face hardened at his words, and the air around them crackled with tension. Jack had successfully poked the hornet's nest, and the sharp gaze Shakky leveled at him bore a hole right through him. Despite the anger that was clearly etched on her face, Jack could tell his words had struck a chord. There was a flicker of something else behind her eyes - uncertainty? Recognition? Whatever it was, it was buried deep beneath her anger and hostility.
But he had said his piece. He shrugged once again, deciding that he had had enough of their distaste. As he turned to leave, he couldn't help but feel a spark of satisfaction at the furious glare Shakky sent his way. It was clear that he had left an impression, although probably not a good one.
But it wasn't his job to change their minds. They were entitled to their opinions, as distorted and one-sided as they might be. He found himself chuckling as he walked away, disappearing into the crowd. After all, what did he care for their opinions? He had his own battles to fight, his own family to take care of.
As he navigated his way through the crowded streets, he could still feel Shakky's fiery gaze on his back, even as he disappeared from her sight. A smirk curled at the corners of his mouth. It wasn't every day that he managed to ruffle the feathers of a group of pirates known for their disdain of men.
Continuing his walk around town, Jack kept a watchful eye on his surroundings. He was not searching for the typical lowlifes that lurked in dark alleyways; he was after something much bigger. He was looking for those who trafficked women and children, not for a noble cause, but for a personal reason. The earlier thugs were just small-time criminals, their pitiful attempts at menace making him snort in disdain. Jack needed a big fish, a real challenge.
His piercing blue eyes swept over the bustling crowd, calmly scanning for any signs of his quarry. He passed the merry taverns filled with raucous laughter, the busy market stalls bursting with colorful produce, and the harbor teeming with sailors and merchants. Each person, each movement, was a potential lead, a breadcrumb on the path to his target.
After an hour of fruitless searching, Jack decided to take a break. Even for him, the ceaseless scanning of the crowd was exhausting. Shaking off his frustrations, he decided to shift his focus to something more pleasant. He focused his energy on it, and one by one, a group of women materialized in front of him.
Sabaody Archipelago, particularly the tourist area from Islands #40-49, was known for its unique charm. The main attractions of the islands were the floating bikes – a delightful peculiarity special to Sabaody. The bicycles, tethered to large, vibrant bubbles, floated a few inches above the ground, gliding effortlessly over the terrain. Their operation was simple, making them an exciting, yet safe, way to explore the archipelago.
"Wow, Daddy! Can we ride these?" Aria's voice cut through Jack's thoughts. Her eyes were sparkling with excitement, reflecting the bubbles around her.
"Of course, Princess," Jack answered, reaching down to ruffle her hair. Despite his usual stoic demeanor, his eyes softened when he looked at Aria. "Let's all have some fun."
As the group divided, taking turns on the floating bikes, Jack couldn't help but observe the sheer joy on their faces. Amelia, ever graceful, guided Aria on their bike, both laughing as they floated around. Robin, wide-eyed with fascination, clung to Olvia, who smiled warmly at her daughter's excitement. Luna and Sophie, sharing a bike, drifted around, their laughter ringing through the air. Even the usually reserved Liana had a broad smile on her face as she rode alongside Isabella.
The bikes moved fluidly, bouncing slightly on their bubbles as they glided over the islands. They hummed softly as the riders pedaled, the bubbles shimmering in the sunlight. The sight was as magical as it was surreal, and Jack found himself grinning.
"Look, Daddy!" Aria's excited voice brought Jack's attention back to her. She was steering their bike expertly, Amelia's hands only lightly resting on the handlebars.
"Good job, Princess," Jack called out, his words earning him a proud giggle from his daughter.
As the afternoon wore on, their laughter echoed around the islands, turning heads and drawing smiles from passersby. Jack watched his family, his normally calm blue eyes alive with happiness. The sight of his loved ones enjoying themselves was a much-needed break from his mission.
Their next stop was Sabaody Park, an amusement park with an abundance of bubble-based attractions. The women and children were filled with excitement as they strolled through the park entrance, their eyes wide with anticipation.
"Wow!" Ponis exclaimed, her eyes gleaming with awe. "Everything's made of bubbles!"
"Yes, it is," Jack agreed, the corner of his mouth twitching into a smirk. He found her constant wonder at the Blue Sea world both amusing and endearing. "This island is known for its unique use of the bubbles from the Yarukiman Mangroves."
Amelia nudged Aria excitedly, pointing at the massive ferris wheel that loomed ahead. The wheel was formed entirely of gleaming bubbles, each compartment a vibrant hue. The sight of it spinning slowly against the backdrop of the clear blue sky was awe-inspiring.
"Can we ride that one, Daddy?" Aria asked, tugging at Jack's hand and pointing at the ferris wheel with her other.
"We certainly can, Princess," Jack responded, guiding his family towards the ride.
"Wh...Wheel!" Robin squealed excitedly, clapping her small hands together.
Meanwhile, Sophie and Isabella were fascinated by the drop tower. The tower, too, was made entirely of bubbles, the iridescent surface casting playful reflections under the sun. As they watched, a group of riders were launched into the air before falling swiftly back down, their delighted screams echoing across the park.
Sophie turned to Isabella, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "Can we try that one, Mom?"
Isabella laughed, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "Only if you promise not to scream in my ear, dear."
Elsewhere, Luna, Liana, and Titi were enjoying the roller coaster. The coaster track snaked through the park, the cart made of strong, robust bubbles that moved swiftly yet smoothly. Their laughter echoed across the park as they twisted and turned, their hands raised high in the air.
