Unlike the Earth Battle Arts, the Air Battle Arts comprised a vast collection of quick and complicated patterns that tasked the body's flexibility, agility, endurance and physical might heavily.

One had to keep in mind that being light on your feet and swift with your execution of each predetermined step was paramount to properly master the Air Battle Arts.

On top of all that, the patterns through which one would have to send their flame essence flowing through their bodies got significantly harder.

The Earth Battle Arts required one to fill themselves with the essence from their core and let it coalesce, adding tremendous weight and durability to their bodies.

The Air Battle Arts were almost the exact opposite. Essence flowed out of the Flame core in small bursts spreading with seasoned precision to the right muscles before reinforcing them at the right moment with a pulse that was supposed to be timed and in sync with one's actions.
