Kapitel 39: We can't be too careful

Under the expectant gazes of his parents, Kristen carried a gray backpack on his shoulder and nonchalantly climbed into Hans's car.

"Please wipe that look off your face or people would think you kidnapped me. I don't want to get pulled over by the cops just because they think I am a hostage!" Hans humorously chirped when Kristen settled beside him.

However it was as if the boy didn't hear a word he said, his expression blank.

"Drive."

Hans almost choked on his saliva.

'The nerve of this boy.'

"Is this how you treat the man that toiled day and night to save your life?" Hans voiced as he glared at Kristen.

"If you really toiled hard enough as you claim then we wouldn't be here now, would we?" Kristen still maintaining the blank expression on his face, reached out to pull the seatbelt.

Hans face had already turned stiff at this point.

The boy was clearly saying that he was incompetent!
