Kapitel 47: Intent

'When I was on Earth, as you know, I awakened my gift of decay earlier than anyone else—I think.'

'Strangely enough, he didn't seem surprised nor did he reject me. In fact, we became even closer and he supported me through it all, despite all the mistakes I made.'

'Despite all the tantrums I threw due to my mental and physical instability. He was the man I admired the most.'

He looked at his cup, using his spoon to stir its contents as a wave of sadness and nostalgia washed over him.

For a moment, he closed his eyes, remembering the circumstances of his father's death and its cruel methods, but he soon managed to calm down and ignore it all, reopening his eyes to reveal a calm sea of purple and green.

[What about…grandmother?]

'You…can't read my memories?'

Mordred paused upon hearing this, feeling the question was strange.

[Not yet. Your soul isn't powerful enough and in turn, I am not powerful enough to do so.]
