Kapitel 44: Training (7)
Now that I'm out here all alone, I couldn't help but stare at the Inter staring at me eye to eye with its round pitch-black eyes. The green acid dripping from its mouth, makes it look so rabid like its only purpose was to eat me.
Though it looks like it lost all its reason, it is still a relatively smart Inter. Their sole purpose was to kill and eat anything that moves and is smaller than them. And that's a description you can call everything in this area. And as seen earlier, they will use their resources incredibly well, with Lin suddenly becoming buried by a ton's worth of kobold bones.
This is also observed right now, as I can see it measuring my capabilities, as it tries to see what I was going to do, and if there's going to be any opening it could use to try and attack me.
But I didn't have the option to let it do so, as If it sees that I was some easy prey, this combat training would be as good as over.
So with that being said…
It's time to run!
Though this place was a massive mall, with three floors and an underground parking lot, It was still full of obstacles and kobolds running around. If I tried to fight this thing that could release kobold pheromones, I would absolutely get swarmed by kobolds and just lose to their hands, rather than the Kroligator that was waiting for me up there.
I'm sure I have a decent amount of time, as no one seems to have figured out the exact location of the Kroligator, and how to actually get inside the Lair with the number of kobolds guarding it, so I do have a few decent minutes of time without anyone interrupting me.
But that would also mean I'll have to somehow take care of this Kroligator alone.
K…Kkkk. It screams as it notices me running, triggering its hunting instincts as it immediately started to climb down from the third floor using the broken-down elevator container, that leads all the way to where I was at.
I'm not going to lie I'm never going to get used to the feeling of being chased by some reptilian which is something that no one likes in the first place, but I somehow got myself in two situations where I had to somehow.
With my speed, I wouldn't be able to outrun that lanky bastard who runs on his four legs. I would have to somehow take quick turns like I did with the Lizardman from days ago, or somehow change floors.
Easier said than done though, as this is a mall. I can't just go and look for some corners to run into. Most turns in this place would lead to a small store that is ultimately a dead end. And if I take the escalator, which is technically stairs due to its abandoned state, I would be something like sushi in a conveyor belt in a sushi restaurant waiting for Mr. Lank himself to eat me.
So, with that being said, the only choice I have is down. Down to the parking area and jump from the top of the stairs. It wouldn't hurt much due to my enhanced human strength. And this would ultimately make me not lose any time all while being in a place where I could somehow try to curve around.
Don't get me wrong here though, There's no way in hell I can kill this thing. Yes it's a weak Inter even comparable to a Warrior+ class despite it's Elite status. But it still has the capability to kill Warrior class Inters like the kobold instantly.
It's like an oversized yet underfed Komodo Dragon. But this thing is also my bulldozer.
Thankfully I've arrived at the stairs leading down, which I saw earlier as I was scouting as we move through the mall.
Without any hesitation, I jumped an entire floor and went through the doorframe which was missing the door.
I didn't even dare to look back as I looked for a pillar to hide from the Kroligator. Well, I didn't even need to look back as I could hear the stair I jumped from crumbling from the Kroligator.

It releases a clicking sound from its mouth trying to survey where I was at. It didn't move from the stairway door, which it broke so it could fit.
I'm sure this guy doesn't know this place well. With its massive stature, it would have to break open an entrance to this place, and there were no other openings wide enough for it to go inside, except the one it just broke.
Anyways, this place is so scary that I don't even know if this Kroligator is my only problem. There are Warrior, all the way to Grand class Inters that simply manifest in the dark. It doesn't even need to reproduce. And a Grand Inter isn't something I need to deal with right now. Though it does have some holes on the roof, so I'm sure living in a place where it's only pitch black at night and then during the day you have some deadly rays going through your roof, isn't really habitable by those things.
But anyways, these pillars holding the underground are clearly my target here. Regardless, it's something I just can't do instantly. If I suddenly decided to go and play bull with that Kroligator and manage to destroy all those pillars, what would happen to me then? Get buried under the rubble as well? Besides, there was no way, all this rubble would even manage to kill this beast. It could literally handle the strong corrosive acid that could melt concrete in an instant with no damage to itself. But I do hope on trapping it here with the rubble created, but I would have to escape it for that.
As I go and try to look more and more for any potential exits I finally found something that I could use. As it was pretty dark in the far corners and walls of the underground parking, I finally managed to find the car entrance to this place in the first place. It was blocked by a massive roll-up door which most likely utilized electricity for it to open.
Not sure, how I would be able to handle that by myself, but I definitely know something that could do the job pretty well.
Alright, with this it's finally time to handle the bull...
