Kapitel 35: Chapter 34: Truth
" Thanks man, you saved me from a big headache. " I put out my hands trying to shake Leon's hands.
As usual, he was surrounded by his majestic aura and royal beauty, causing a lot of people to follow behind him.
They were watching the whole ordeal so it seems.
" Woah... It's two of Sense's Emperors... " The crowd suddenly mutters as they surround us.
Sense's Emperor? what the hell is that now? I don't remember anything like that even if I try incredibly hard to look in my memory.
" It's your face. " Leon who seemed to have realized what I was wondering about spoke out.
" Huh? " I asked
" It's the title they gave to 5 students, and two of them are you and me. The Empresses are Luna, Winter, and two others. " He replies.
With those names he just gave me, I already know what the general factor is between them.
I mean, I'm flattered I guess. It kinda gave me a scare as I thought it was something weird, but I guess it's fine.
" Anyways, it seems like you're thinking of turning this academy upside down huh? " Leon grins as he walks towards me.
" Uhh... yeah my bad about that. Just some internal problems in my section you know. " I couldn't even try to annoy him as I was actually in his favor.
" I didn't mean that. " He smiles yet again.
" A shadow leader is what they call it. Using higher authority to protect yourself from others, all while imposing as the leader behind the shadows. " He whispers to me while grabbing my shoulders.
" Doing this to a nice girl? We're a lot more alike than I thought. But yet again, you're a better person than me, as you still have the conscience to make her the leader, her goal in doing this in the first place. " Rena who was looking at me confused by the whole ordeal, couldn't help but wonder what we were talking about.
" Using her and leaving her be would be more efficient and faster, rather than doing her job for her you know? " Leon laughs before walking forward, which is straight behind me.
Tsk...
This is why I didn't want to ask for his help.
" Do you want to explain? " Rena grabs my hand as she leads me to our 1B's room which no one was currently using, to remove the crowd from us.
" What do you mean? " I say
" How in the hell did you do that? " She asked with a serious expression on her face.
" You mean how I managed to stop Paul? "
" I mean everything. From that to knowing Sol in the first place. "
" Well, Mr. Paul was something I didn't know was coming but knew that someone like him would come. " I say with a blank expression.
...
" Huh? "
" With my background, someone like Jian would always come in my way the moment I join a side in this battle. I decided to have someone who would fill that spot, someone who I could beat in a fight, yet someone reliable for the other side to keep on pushing them on my tail. Thus removing any strange and unpredictable people confronting me. " I decided to start telling her everything I'd been doing up until now.
With how fast the progression of this fight going, the position of class president would ultimately come this weekend, when the training for the class battle would occur. I planned to slowly show my capabilities to Rena and let her put me in the position of strategist of her own accord, but it seems like whoever is controlling the other group wanted to end this chess battle as fast as possible. This ultimately stalled my plans, but it's not like I was the only one affected by the time restraints. His side is in a rush and whatever their plan is, it's clearly something that he doesn't want anyone to know, that's probably why he doesn't want to give me any time.
" As for Leon, I met him during my second class which should be the time during all that ordeal. He found me interesting it seems, so he gave his contact info to me. And with that power in hand, someone like Paul would ultimately succumb to it. " Rena and her two friends seemed to have started to look at me in a new light. To the point that it looked like they saw someone dead just come back to life.
Like they're looking at a thug who seemed as if they were a commander in a war.
I guess my reputation was something quite bad huh?
" And I told you earlier, that I know someone like him would come, as fighting a young noble automatically comes with this merit. When I pulled out my phone to show the recordings, I was actually trying to see the time as I knew that it was already around dismissal for the second class, that's when I sent all my clips, plus some others I luckily found on the internet to Leon. And when I was playing the clips, I was just checking If I sent the right video to him. " I say pretending that I didn't already know those clips' location which was used by Sol to also beat Paul in the original story.
" ... " They all look at me weirdly.
" So does that explain it? " I say with a calm smile.
" ... " Only silence and a shocked stare were all I received from that exchange.
" This... " Jade who was behind Rena had the look of someone who felt dumb.
' Did I really just treat this guy like someone who is stupid and crazy? ' She thought thinking that Mon's strategy was the reason why he got into Class 1B in the first place.
" Well... This is quite shocking. " Rena says with her head down as if she's under hard contemplation.
I couldn't really see her expression so I didn't know if I should be scared or not. Is she thinking of me as a threat to her position now? If she isn't stupid she should have realized by now what I was trying to do.
" I didn't know I have such a talented strategist under my team. " She says with a wide smile as she pats my shoulder.
" I... "
" Don't worry, as long as you're on my side, no one going to touch you. Your smarts and my authority is going to take over this world! " She says with a friendly smile, contrasting her ever-so-strict look and cold treatment of her enemies.
" Hah... I guess I underestimated you. " I couldn't help but be amazed by her personality. It really shows how incredible this world is... despite being mere words to the real world.
Rena soon left with Jade and James behind him. They were still skeptical about all of this, and my reason for acting like a thug when I first entered the room, but they couldn't change Rena's mind anyways.
Or so I thought...
