Kapitel 3: Qiáng
Hon Ma Vương quickly gathered himself together. He can't act rashly less he'd only be inviting trouble to himself
Suddenly, something appeared between his face and the blue screen
"You're done grinning like an idiot?" the floating thing said. It was a Pixie
Hon Ma Vương blinked couple times. Why does this Pixie look so like his?
Quickly, he checked his hand. Empty!
"Qiáng!" his head shot up again and Ma Vương stared wide eyed at the once small winged human
Qiáng looked at him with a slight smirk. He looked so human apart from his size and transparent purple wings.
It took Me Vương a moment to come back to reality but when he did, he immediately stretch out his hands and catch the Pixie, quickly hiding him in his clothes
Qiáng didn't even get a chance to react before he was stuffed inside dark old cloth
Ma Vương looked around anxiously. Thankfully, no one was paying him any attention as they were all either looking at the detailed graphics of the game of busy with their status screen
Ma Vương sighed in relieve. If anyone saw him, won't they immediately call him a cheater? While others were only learning how to move probably in the game, he already had a Pixie at level 5!
Of course they'll label him a cheater and Hon Ma Vương honestly didn't want that. After all, it's not his fault there was a bug in the system.
Blame the producers!
Hon Ma Vương quickly looked around and walked to a less populated part of the village and quickly hid behind a huge lock
When he was a hundred percent sure no one was going to pop out unexpected, he finally let the Pixie out of his cloth
Qiáng was a coughing mess the minute he was let out. His face was red and his hair all messed up
"Are you okay?" Ma Vương asked as innocently as he could
The producers had place a lot of importance on Pixies and didn't fail to emphasize on their usefulness in all the articles they released before they game was lunched
If the Pixies were half as intelligent as those articles spoke of then Ma Vương definitely didn't want to be on bad terms with his
Qiáng stopped coughing and glared at his master. He definitely wasn't buying Ma Vương's innocent act
"Do I look okay?! Not only does your clothes smell, it smells worse than spoilt beans"
Ma Vương opened mouth to defend his clothes but closed it back. 'Nevermind, I'll let him get away with it this time' he thought to himself
"What village is this?" He asked instead
"Drifting Clouds Village obviously" Qiáng said sarcastically
"Drifting Clouds Village." Ma Vương said to himself then spoke up again "How many villages are there in Novice Town?"
Qiáng looked at him incredulously.
"Twenty. All this were in the guide book! Did you not read it?" he asked folding his small hands in front of his chest
Ma Vương ducked his head slightly embarrassed. He actually didn't read the guide book. The Guide Book was uploaded on many websites three days before the game was scheduled to lunch.
Many people had rushed to read it in details but Ma Vương had only briefly glanced through it once or twice
Now he was paying the price of not knowing much
Qiáng sighed when he saw his master wasn't going to reply
"There are 20 villages in Novice Town and each village about 2.5 miles wide excluding forests and other unmarked parts. When you buy a land, you will get a Village Map" he explained
Ma Vương nodded
"I should have enough coins to buy a land but I should first test out my combat powers" he said and turned to Qiáng again with a complicated expression
"But I can't let people see you."
Qiáng rolled his eyes and waved his hand around in a weird motion. A moment later, a ring appeared from thin air and drop
Ma Vương quickly caught it. It was a sliver ring with a touch of red and black linings. It was very simple looking and even with the in-built scanner that came with the system, Ma Vương couldn't get any information on it
"It's a Pixie Space Ring" Qiáng said saving Ma Vương from having to ask again "Every Pixie has one any they come in different types but all accessories. It's like a house for us Pixies. When we're in it, we remain undetectable to anyone but our master's"
Ma Vương rolled the silver ring around before putting it on. Once it was fixed on his finger, a light flashed and dimmed almost immediately.
"You'll need a command phrase to use it though. One to call me out and the other to draw me in" Qiáng said
"How about Appear and Return?" Ma Vương asked
"Lame. I'd rather die than answer to those" Qiáng quickly said
Ma Vương raised an eyebrow
"Emerge and Demerge?"
"At least try to be creative"
"Gùqi and Hái?"
After a few more words, Ma Vương had begun to say random words all of which Qiáng rejected with an unpleasant comment
This was the last word he could think of and he didn't know what he will do if the little sarcastic being rejected it again
"That one is manageable. It'll do for now" Qiáng said after a moment of silence
Ma Vương almost fell on the ground on hearing that. Relieve washed over him and let out a long sigh
"Thank goodness" he said
