As it turned out, the crown princess was less angry about her befriending Xiao Moxian and more upset about the fact that Wang Jingyuan kept this from her.

"How come you never mentioned that you two were friends when we were talking about him? You didn't even tell me that you knew him."

"You didn't seem to like him, so I thought that you wouldn't like me anymore if you knew I was friends with him." Wang Jingyuan said. "I didn't want you to hate me."

"Silly Jingyuan mei-mei. We are sworn sisters; I would never hate you. I know you are kindhearted; instead of you being a bad person, I think it is far more like that you are being manipulated by that Xiao Moxian."
