The tension on the deck of the Thousand Sunny was palpable. Kikidori stood on one side of the deck, his sword Ophiophagus Hannah gleaming in the sunlight. On the other side, Raiko stood with his blade, a cold smirk on his face.
The two had been at each other's throats since Raiko joined the crew, but this time, the crew had enough of their constant bickering.
"Just settle it already!" Nami yelled from the sidelines, her patience worn thin.
Sanji leaned on the railing, lighting a cigarette. "At least try not to break the ship while you're at it, you brats."
Luffy sat cross-legged, munching on a piece of meat. "This is gonna be good!"
Robin, sitting nearby with Chopper, calmly flipped a page in her book. "Do try not to hurt each other too badly," she said, her voice laced with gentle amusement.
Zoro stood with his arms crossed, watching intently. He knew this was more than just a childish squabble. This was about respect and proving oneself.
Kikidori and Raiko stared each other down, neither willing to back down.
"You ready to lose again, Diamond D. Kikidori?" Raiko taunted, gripping his sword tightly.
Kikidori smirked, his confidence unshaken. "Not this time, Emerald D. Raiko. I've been training."
Raiko raised an eyebrow. "Oh, have you now? Let's see if it paid off."
"Begin!" Luffy shouted, slamming his hand on the deck like a referee.
Raiko charged first, his blade slicing through the air with precision. Kikidori dodged, narrowly avoiding the strike, and countered with a quick upward slash. Raiko parried it with ease, their swords clashing with a metallic *clang* that echoed across the ship.
The fight was fast-paced and intense. Raiko relied on speed and agility, darting around like a whirlwind, while Kikidori used his brute strength and creative tactics.
"Not bad," Raiko admitted as their swords locked, sparks flying between them.
"You're not so bad yourself," Kikidori replied through gritted teeth, pushing back with all his might.
The crew watched in awe as the two exchanged blow after blow, neither gaining the upper hand for long.
"Whoa, they're evenly matched!" Usopp exclaimed, his eyes wide.
"Yeah, but Kikidori's swordsmanship has definitely improved," Zoro noted, a hint of pride in his voice.
Kikidori suddenly feinted to the left, catching Raiko off guard, and managed to land a shallow cut on Raiko's arm.
"Gotcha!" Kikidori grinned, thinking he had the upper hand.
But Raiko smirked, spinning around with a swift kick to Kikidori's side, knocking him off balance. "Not so fast!"
The fight continued, both landing blows and taking hits, but neither willing to back down.
Eventually, both were breathing heavily, sweat dripping down their faces as they stood a few feet apart, their swords lowered but still ready.
"Had enough yet?" Raiko asked, panting.
Kikidori wiped the sweat from his brow. "Not even close."
But before either could make another move, Robin's voice cut through the tension.
"That's enough, boys," she said calmly, closing her book and standing. "You've both proven yourselves."
Zoro stepped forward, nodding in agreement. "She's right. It's a tie. You're both strong, but you've got plenty to learn."
Kikidori and Raiko exchanged a look, their rivalry still burning but with a newfound respect.
"Fine," Kikidori said, sheathing his sword.
"Yeah, fine," Raiko echoed, doing the same.
The crew let out a collective sigh of relief.
"Finally!" Nami groaned.
As Kikidori walked past Raiko, he smirked. "You got lucky."
Raiko rolled his eyes. "Keep telling yourself that, Serpent King."
Luffy grinned, slapping both on the back. "That was awesome! You guys should fight more often!"
"NO!" the rest of the crew yelled in unison.
Kikidori and Raiko exchanged a small, reluctant smile. Their rivalry wasn't over, but for now, they could call it even.
