While Brontes was deep in thought about how to approach a tricky situation, an agent from the CP (Cipher Pol) knocked and then entered his office.

"Sir, the Five Elders have requested that you take care of the situation involving Kaido." The agent informed him, his tone serious yet respectful.

Brontes responded with a light chuckle: "I understand. They didn't have to give me direct orders—I was planning to handle it myself anyway. It seems like I won't get any rest, but hey, it's like having a punching bag dropped off right at my doorstep."

Saying this, he stood up and made his way out of the office, ready to tackle the issue head-on.

Meanwhile, as the Ark Maxim ship began its journey toward the New World, the Five Elders gathered in their office, all of them bowing their heads, eyes glued to the floor, lost in thought.

"His body is becoming more and more abnormal..." One of them said with concern.

"Exactly what did he and Vegapunk concoct back in Punk Hazard?" Another questioned, pondering the mysterious developments that happened back then.

"Whitebeard mentioned that he's not quite human anymore, at least not in the usual sense. Even if it was due to the awakening of a Zoan-type Devil Fruit power, it shouldn't have gone to this extent." The blonde elder chimed in.

"It's truly remarkable, but his inherent nature and his loyalty to the Marines might pose a problem for us." Remarked another, voicing a concern about Brontes's allegiance towards the World Government.

"Let's not worry too much about it for now. However, we should be cautious about our future dealings with him. Additionally, the World Nobles are not happy, citing that Brontes has been overly stringent with them." Said another Elder, highlighting a different issue.

"As long as he doesn't overstep his boundaries too much, a little discipline on them is acceptable." The elder with black hat reasoned.

"The World Conference is rapidly approaching. We'll move forward as planned." They concluded, setting their concerns aside to focus on the upcoming event.

...

At the Marine Base G-1, its importance cannot be overstated.

This base serves as the guardian to the entryway into the first half of the New World, directly leading to the Red Line.

Its unique location underscores the critical roles of both G-1 Base and Marineford.

Given the volatile and complex situation in the New World, high-ranking Marines of Admiral rank have always been stationed here for its defense.

Over the years, notable figures like Zephyr, then Sengoku, followed by Brontes, and now Sakazuki, who commands the base, have overseen its operations.

Despite the reputation of the New World's pirates, none have dared to challenge this fortress since its establishment.

But there's always an exception to the rule—Kaido.

Known as a reckless behemoth and an entity seemingly beyond mortality, Kaido has audaciously assaulted G-1 Base three times over two decades, each attack a testament to his fearless nature.

"Boom!"

A thunderous explosion echoes across the square of the base, signaling the start of another unprecedented event.

The design of G-1 Base mirrors that of Marineford, yet it boasts a larger scale.

It's speculated that had the order of establishment been different, G-1 might have served as the Marine Headquarters when it was founded centuries ago, reflecting its immense strategic value.

In the square, Kaido, an imposing figure armed with a kanabo, effortlessly repels approaching marines without physical contact, utilizing the sheer force generated by his weapon instead.

Surrounded by thousands of Marine soldiers, Kaido remains unshakably centered in the square, showcasing the might and defiance that marks his legendary status, as one of Four Yonko.

"Where's that basterd Brontes?! Send him out to face me!" Kaido roared, swinging his kanabo with such force that marines were sent flying dozens of meters away.

The square resonated with the heavy impact of his weapon.

"Boom!"

The tense atmosphere broke suddenly as a figure emerged in front of Kaido, confidently stepping down on the kanabo, stopping its devastating momentum in its tracks.

"Woosh!"

The encounter between these two sent a blistering wave of heat across the square, the temperature soaring instantly as if warning the marines of the fiery clash to come.

The man facing Kaido wore a marine coat draped over a striking red suit. A tattoo of a flower, intriguing yet partly concealed beneath his shirt.

"This is a Marine Base. You can't just wreak havoc here, Kaido!"

Sakazuki, with a foot placed firmly on the kanabo, lifted his head to meet Kaido's gaze with an icy stare.

"Boom!"

The confrontation escalated as Kaido, unfazed, tightened his grip on the kanabo with his right hand and swung it fiercely, sending Sakazuki, known as Akainu, spiraling through the air.

In a display of mastery and control, Sakazuki twirled mid-air and landed with precision, his resolve was unshaken.

"I don't care for your reasons for being here, but since you've dared to attack this base, don't even dream of leaving without consequences!"

Sakazuki's voice was a calm before the storm, his arm pulling back then thrusting forward, now glowing dark red like molten iron ready to forge or destroy.

The air thickened with unbearable heat and the sharp scent of sulfur, heralding the beginning of a ferocious battle.

"Grrrgle!"

The sound was a prelude to the inevitable clash of forces, an encounter between monsters that would mark another historic moment for the G-1 Base.

Sakazuki's arm transformed dramatically, erupting into a mass of magma that seemed alive, its outer crust cracking to reveal the searing, molten core within.

Despite this display of power, Kaido remained singularly focused, his eyes glowing with anticipation—not for the battle at hand, but for a challenge yet to come.

"I am not interested in fighting you. I'm here for Ragnarok!" Kaido shouted, dismissing Akainu. In his heart, only the prospect of battling Brontes stirred any excitement.

"Don't underestimate me!"

"Great Eruption!"

Akainu's fury ignited at the dismissal, his magma arm raised menacingly as he launched it towards Kaido.

"Get lost!"

This was Kaido's terse reply, his own fist meeting Akainu's molten attack head-on, unfazed by the blistering heat.

"Boom!"

The clash unleashed a fierce shockwave, magma spraying in all directions as the two forces collided.

The sheer intensity of their confrontation generated a blast of heat so intense, marine soldiers in the vicinity had no choice but to retreat.

Sakazuki, having faced Kaido before, understood all too well the monumental challenge of combatting such a foe.

"Hmph!"

Yet, Kaido merely snorted, his disdain palpable as he effortlessly countered the magma with sheer physical strength.

The truth became apparent: when brute force meets an unstoppable force, the usual effects of high temperature and magma was useless.

"Thud! Boom!"

In a testament to this, Kaido's unrivaled strength saw Sakazuki's magma fist deflected, highlighting the immense power and endurance Kaido possessed.

"Move away!"

The command echoed urgently as the magma flowed unrestrained, prompting marine soldiers to scatter in an attempt to evade the overwhelming aftermath of their clash.

"Boom!"

The power behind the magma was formidable, crashing into a nearby watchtower with such force that the structure crumbled, melting the ground it touched.

"Hya!"

Amid the chaos, Kaido launched an assault, his hands somehow also emitting magma, closing the distance to engage Sakazuki directly.

The air was filled with the sounds of conflict—"Boom! Bang!"—as two forces of nature clashed.

This was G-1 Base, a fortress second only in importance and strength to Marineford itself, making it a nearly impregnable bastion.

The idea of swiftly bringing such a stronghold to its knees was unthinkable, even for someone as formidable as Kaido.

While the destruction he could wreak was significant, there were limits, marked by the base's enduring presence and strategic importance.

Much like Danzo's complex relationship with Konoha in another universe, Sakazuki harbored a deep but controversial loyalty to the Marines.

Despite employing any means to achieve his goals, his dedication was undeniable, even if his vision of justice was considered extreme by many.

This unwavering commitment to the marine cause, paired with his intense methodology, drew parallels between him and other single-minded protectors across different narratives.

Sakazuki's path could have taken a different turn, perhaps mirroring Zephyr's in creating a new faction within Marine, had he not ascended to the rank of Fleet Admiral.

However, such a path likely would have led to isolation without the backing of the World Government, highlighting the complexity of his situation within the broader political landscape of the World Government.

Regardless of his methods, Sakazuki's belief in the Marines' principles made him a suitable Admiral, even if his strict adherence to an extreme form of justice was polarizing.

To some within the higher echelons of power, such as the World Government and the Five Elders, he might have appeared to be little more than a tool, a perception partly shaped by his willingness to make compromises for the sake of eradicating piracy more effectively.

Under Sengoku's leadership, there was a sense that the Marines had begun to drift from under the complete control of the Five Elders.

A potential successor like Kuzan, with his more compassionate approach, would have likely posed a bigger challenge for the Five Elders to maintain their influence.

However, Sakazuki, with his readiness to make concessions to achieve his objectives, positioned himself differently, showing a willingness to align closer with the World Government if it meant being granted the power to continue his fight against piracy.
