Kapitel 42: The Start of the Grandline
"Woah that was a close call guys!" said Alex with an amused expression. "YA THINK! I thought we were going to die!" exclaimed Braga as he was still shaken up by what happened earlier. "Well we are safe at least." said Franco as he was wiping his forehead that was full of sweat.
While they were talking, Fraulein woke up from his sleep and Law who was tending to his injuries called out to the crew "Guys! Fraulein is up." the crew quickly went to Fraulein and asked him how he was doing. "Captain, I'm sorry for getting caught. I will train harder next time." Alex just replied with a smile "It's okay Fraulein, you don't have to be sorry for that. You'll just have to train harder. If you get caught again, then I'll just save you again. In fact, if any of you get caught, I'll just save you to the best of my abilities." the crew smiled and felt warm that their captain would do that for them and promised that they would train harder so that their captain wont't have to save them.
Fraulein was happy his captain did not give up on him after his blunder in Loguetown. He promised that from now on, he would not lose any fight anymore. This event triggered the transformation of Fraulein from being called 'Long Limbed' to 'Weapon Sovereign'.
After sailing through Reverse Mountain, their ship encountered something large and were curious as to what it was. They were met with a big island that was at the entrance of the Grandline. "What in the world is that? The Grandline sure is weird having an island that is directly at the entrance of it." Fraulein said as he was thinking that he was still hallucinating since he just gained consciousness a while ago. "Nope, I'm pretty sure that's an island guys." said Petronia as she takes another look at the massive island that they saw.
As they were getting closer, Alex noticed something different about the supposed island and said "Uhmm guys, I don't think that is an island. I think it's something else." the crew was confused and Franco replied "Then what do you think it is Captain?" then Alex just pointed at the 'island' and the crew looked at where he was pointing and were surprised as they saw teeth. "I think that's a whale, and I think it's probably going to eat us." Alex said in the calmest way possible while his crew shouted at him, "HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT CALMLY!" then his crew started turning the ship away from the whale but failed to do so and were swallowed by the whale.
(Inside the whale)
'Hmm? New visitors? I wonder who those could be?' said an old man who was busy reading a newspaper on an island as he gets ready to meet with the new visitors.
Just as he stood up, a ship was visible and was going towards him while he was walking towards his favorite seat. He saw people panicking on the ship saying stuff like 'We're going to die', 'I still want to live.', and some other stuff. The old man just waits for them to calm down and just stops walking towards his seat as he stares at the people on the ship.
Braga, on the other hand, saw the old man on the island who was staring at them and decided to stare at him as well while waiting for him to speak. The crew noticed that he was staring at something and decided to keep quiet and stare at the old man as well. Their staring contest continued for about a minute, when the old man, while staring, decided to sit on his chair and read a newspaper without saying anything. Braga was annoyed and shouted "Are you gonna say something old man!" the old man stared at them again and the crew were surprised and were threatened, so they brought out their guns and the old man was shocked but said with a scary expression "Don't shoot, or else someone will die." the crew were shocked by his declaration but Braga was not shocked and asked "Oh yeah old man, mind telling me who that would be?" the old man looked at them with the same expression and said "Me of course." the crew facepalmed at his answer and Braga was about to attack him but was stopped by Alex as he said "Old man, do you know where we are right now." the old man just stared at them again and said "Isn't it common courtesy to tell your name before you ask for something?" Alex was surprised at his blunder and said "Oh, my apologies sir. My name is Al-" "My name is Crocus and I guard the lighthouse." Alex was pretty pissed at getting cut off and was about to raise his gun but was stopped by Franco. "Nice to meet you Mr. Crocus! My crewmates and I were curious as to where we are right now, do you happen to know where we are?" said Franco and Crocus stared at them again and the crew shouted "STOP DOING THAT!" Crocus retorted "Don't you guys know how to appreciate a gag!" the crew just shook their heads and gave up trying to understand this eccentric old man.
"Well you're inside of a whale and you are in my one island resort. If you're looking for the exit it's right over there." said Crocus as the crew listened to him explaining where they were currently at and pointed to where the exit was at. After listening, Robin realized something and said "Come to think of it, the sky, the birds, and the clouds are all paintings. None of them are actually real." the crew just realized it now and were shocked that the paintings weren't real. Then at this moment, Alex realized something about the old man who was right in front of them "Oh! I know who you are! You're THE Crocus who was Gol D. Roger's doctor as he sailed to Laugh Tale!" the crew were shocked at the revelation especially Law as he wanted to learn from the man who was picked by the Pirate King to be his doctor for his final journey. "Well you are right young man, I am the doctor of the Pirate King himself. You better get going or else the ship would get digested." said Crocus and after he said that Alex requested "Dr. Crocus! Please teach our crew's doctor your techniques!" Law was shocked at his captain's request as he didn't know that his captain would be asking for that. But they didn't expect his answer to be "No, I won't be teaching him."

ImStar0710 My novel will still follow the canon timeline, but since my OCs would be added there are more things that would change in the One Piece World. This novel is just a product of my ideas that I got while I was reading about One Piece.
