(T/N: Please consider reviewing this Fanfic, Thanks and appreciate all who support me)

(T/N: Regarding Vivi seeing Byakuya's face, the author also clarified that MC should not yet show his face and it's the author's error/fault, but he was lazy to change it back)

(T/N: Enjoy!!)

Hearing Pell's words, Vivi cried even harder, her hands frantically wiping away the blood at the corners of his mouth.

She didn't care about the blood staining her hands and clothes. Igaram, too, knelt beside Pell with a face full of sorrow.

After not seeing his close friend for a year, he hadn't expected their reunion under such tragic circumstances.

But who could be blamed for this? They wouldn't have fought back if Pell hadn't taken the initiative to attack.

Moreover, their opponent had already shown mercy. At this moment, Byakuya curiously observed Vivi, whose face was tearfully strewn.

He hadn't expected that, despite Pell being gravely injured, Vivi would apologize to him and even thank him for holding back.

This genuinely surprised Byakuya.

If Vivi had complained in the slightest just now, Byakuya wouldn't have intervened and would have watched as Pell succumbed to his injuries.

But now... Byakuya stepped forward and took a vial from his pocket that he had just exchanged from the system store.

"Inject this into him, and his life will be saved. The wounds will gradually heal."

Vivi looked up, her tear-stained eyes meeting Byakuya's cold, emotionless gaze behind his mask.

In this situation, to save Pell's life, she had no choice but to trust Byakuya.

Holding back her sobs, she bit her lip, looking delicate and pitiful as she accepted the vial from Byakuya, softly saying, "Thank you."

Since Vivi had yet to experience such things, she handed the vial to Igaram to administer.

Not far away, Lucci saw the familiar syringe, green liquid, and injection process.

He couldn't help but shudder. It was a painful memory he could never forget.

As he watched Pell, there was a look of shared suffering in Lucci's eyes.

'Brother, once that injection is in, you'll experience what it means to wish you were dead. If I had the choice, I would have preferred to die on the spot.'

Under Lucci's somewhat sympathetic gaze, Pell's body twitched slightly after the injection. Lucci thought to himself, It's coming, it's coming.

The most painful part is about to begin. But to Lucci's shock, Pell's body showed no further reactions after the twitching stopped.

His external wounds began to heal, his complexion gradually returned to normal, and within five minutes, Pell could even stand and walk, albeit with some difficulty.

Vivi and Igaram, who witnessed Pell's recovery firsthand, were overjoyed and repeatedly thanked Byakuya.

Meanwhile, Lucci's lips, hidden beneath his mask, kept moving, and if one listened closely, one could hear his incredulous murmuring.

'What the heck, how is this possible? Did he recover without any pain? Then why did I suffer so much back then?'

Noticing the different way Byakuya treated Vivi, Lucci seemed to realize something.

As these thoughts crossed his mind, he looked at Byakuya with a bit of resentment in his eyes.

'Damn it! So it turns out Byakuya prefers minors! How evil!'

Thankfully, Byakuya did not know what Lucci was thinking.

If he did, he'd probably cripple Lucci and then make him inject a hundred vials, one every day, until the pain killed him.

It's worth noting that the vial Lucci received was a rapid healing potion worth five World Energy points.

While the one Pell used was a mere one-point healing potion designed only to heal wounds and save the injured person's life.

Pell would take a long time to recover from his injuries, and even then, not all the internal damage could be healed.

Lucci's endurance of pain in the past had now proven its worth.

After listening to Vivi explain what had transpired with Byakuya and his two companions, Pell finally understood the situation.

Despite his injuries, he forced himself to stand and walked over to Byakuya, bowing and apologizing, "I'm deeply sorry, it was my misunderstanding."

Byakuya responded calmly, "It's nothing, as long as the agreement is fulfilled."

Standing beside them, Vivi firmly added, "Don't worry, I will keep my promise."

As they talked, King Cobra of Alabasta and the Deputy Commander of the Alabasta Royal Guard, Chaka, hurriedly led a large group of palace guards towards the city outskirts.

Along the way, Cobra's expression was a mix of joy and anxiety as he urgently asked, "Chaka, are you sure Vivi has really returned?"

The tall man beside him nodded firmly, "I heard from the soldiers on patrol outside the city that Princess Vivi has indeed returned.

Pell, who was on patrol, has already gone ahead. We should meet them on the way if we head out now."

A look of relief crossed Cobra's face, and he quickened his pace.

Since Vivi had secretly left the palace a year ago, saying she would gather evidence against Crocodile and bring peace back to Alabasta, Cobra had been living in constant fear.

He was terrified that Vivi might fall into Crocodile's hands and lose her life.

More than anything, he blamed himself for being powerless, forcing a fourteen-year-old girl to shoulder such a heavy burden.

Vivi had lived a life of luxury in the palace, like a pampered princess, and Cobra couldn't bear the thought of the hardships she must have endured outside.

Just the thought of it pained him deeply. So when he heard Vivi had returned, he immediately rushed out of the city with his men to see her.

But just as they were halfway there, a soldier came running towards them in a panic, shouting, "Your Majesty, something terrible has happened! Deputy Commander Pell has been injured!"

Chaka's expression changed drastically upon hearing this. He grabbed the soldier by the collar and demanded angrily, "What did you just say?"

"I..." the soldier struggled to speak, but fear choked his words.

Cobra, calm but with a deep undercurrent of tension, said, "Chaka, let the soldier go and allow him to speak slowly."

Chaka released the soldier, scratching his head in frustration. Now able to breathe, the soldier quickly explained, "Besides Captain Igaram, three masked individuals accompanied Princess Vivi when she returned."

"Masked individuals?" Cobra and Chaka exchanged worried glances.

The soldier nodded and continued, "Those three seem to have taken Princess Vivi hostage."

"Deputy Commander Pell attacked them, but they easily defeated him."

Chaka's voice grew more intense as he asked, "And what about Pell?"

"This... well...," the soldier stammered, unable to continue. The sinking feeling in Cobra and Chaka's hearts deepened.

They understood that Pell's fate was likely grim and that these masked figures were probably agents of Crocodile.

This meant that Crocodile's men had indeed taken Vivi hostage. At that moment, Cobra realized the gravity of the situation.

He might soon be forced to make an impossible choice between his beloved daughter and the safety of his kingdom.
