Luke's fingers hovered over the phone. This Rachel person was annoying, and now he was considering forming an alliance with her. First, she was annoying, as already stated, and second, giving her his phone number equated to giving a crazy sasaeng fan his house key and a map to his bedroom. Third, he had no way of trusting her, and fourth, she really was annoying—one of those cheerleader types with more hair than brains.

On the other hand, he had a responsibility to Hong Gi and the family. Hong Gi was the eldest child and heir to everything Father held dear. There was no way the family would support a marriage to anyone who wasn't an affluent Korean girl. Looking at it from that angle, he was also protecting Min Jun's stepdaughter from unnecessary heartache. Steph and Hong Gi would thank him one day. And most importantly, Rachel was the only other person he knew at the university.
