Kapitel 1: Pilot

"Pink, or yellow?" Savvy thought aloud. She stood in front of her floor-length mirror in her shorts and bra, deciding on what shirt she should wear. Her eyes narrowed as she stared at her reflection, resting each shirt against her chest to see which one fits her more. Her curly dark hair a bit heavy with products in it still not completely dry, brown eyes brighter under the sunlight, and bronze skin glistening after she had applied some body oil.

"Neither," she frowned, tossing them to the side as she tackled her messy closet. She pulled out a specific shirt, gasping as she did.

The t-shirt was baby blue with gems splattered across the chest area. She had gotten it from last year's "Dazzle Babes" concert she went to with her friend, Noah.

her dimples deepened as she smiled. "My baby blue disco merchandise! Now we're talking!"

She slipped it on, tucking it into her shorts. As she tied her vans, an incoming video call rang on her phone. The dark-haired girl managed to jump to her desk so she doesn't trip from the loose shoelace. Answering the call, she greeted her friend loudly.

"Hey, Noah! What's going on?"

"Dazzle Babes, really?" he laughed over the phone.

"lemme lemme dazzle your world, baby girl! Lemme get you that gem that makes you spark!"

She pretended a guitar was under her hold, wiggling her fingers like she was hitting the string.

"Okay dazzle babe, I can't find my denim jacket. I think I left at your house."

"I'll get it for you since I'm picking you up. Wait for me on your porch. Love ya!"

"Wait what? Do you even have a car? Savvy-"

She quickly hits the end call button before she gets attacked by more questions from him. With all her stuff in her bag and Noah's jacket in her hand, she slides down the stairs, sitting on the railing.

"Morning Savvy. here are the car keys. Careful with my baby," her older brother, Max, winked before biting into his apple.

She jumped to catch the keys her brother had thrown at her.

"Since when do you eat the green ones, loser?"

He gave her a look before setting the apple on the counter. "Mom didn't get the red ones."

She laughed at him, letting out a soft snort before exiting the house. She threw her stuff in the back seat of the car as she started the engine.

Her hands instantly went to the radio as she twisted the knob. When a hit song started playing, she slipped on her sunglasses.

She drove towards Noah's house, happy that he was in the same neighborhood. It didn't take her long to reach in front of his home, seeing him sit on the porch and snack on some chocolate.

His chocolate hair was, as always, parted at the side. Brown eyes staring at his Kit Kat as his pale fingers played with his yellow plaid shirt.

Rolling down her window with a huge grin, she called out to him. "Hey, good gayness! Get your butt in here!"

The boy lifted his head, shook painting his face. "Holy goodness, Savvy! You got your driver's license!"

He quickly got up and slipped into the passenger seat, hugging his denim Jacket.

"What? You thought I was slacking all winter vacation?"

She pressed on the pedal, not allowing Noah to comprehend what's going on. On the way, Savvy was happily jamming to the song and dancing while Noah was one second away from having a deadly heart attack. The fact that the car almost crashed twice didn't help him at all.

As soon as Savvy parked, Noah didn't hesitate to jump out and take a breather.

"I am never getting in a car with you," he cried while balancing himself against the vehicle.

"Yeah yeah, we both know that's a lie," she chuckled as they both walked to the main doors.

Savvy had her iPod and headphones on, her fingers acting like drumsticks as she jammed through the halls.

With her eyes closed, she accidentally bumped into someone. More specifically, Nova Adams.

Savvy quickly took off her earbud to apologize, but Nova was already ranting. She was known for her plum lipstick and dresses. She wore a pink long-sleeved floral dress Savvy saw in an expensive shop at the mall last weekend, topping it off with golden strap heels. Of course, Nova could not survive without heels. Her dirty blonde hair moved as she complained.

"Like seriously, why do they even pick you to be class president!?" She hissed.

Savvy sighed, not wanting to deal with her this morning. "Sorry Nova, I wasn't watching. My mistake."

"I don't even know why I associate myself with you morons."

Her heels clicked against the ground as she walked away, random girls following her like maids.

"I told you. Dancing in the halls isn't rad." Noah laughed as they reached the lockers.

"Nothing to her is rad!"

Savvy opened her locker and pulled out her chemistry books. Knowing that's she has the worst teacher for first period annoyed her to the maximum.

"Good morning class. I hope you had a nice winter break. Even though we don't get snow around here, we at least have rain. All through the year," the teacher greeted plainly, mumbling the last sentence. She had her hair in a tight ponytail as she dressed in plain wide-legged pants with a blue ruffle shirt tucked in.

Some must admit, the only reason the boys didn't slack this class was because of how beautiful the teacher was. Yet, she was extremely strict.

"Now, I'll be giving a recap worksheet with 5 pages. Pair up with the two behind you. I expect it to be done before class ends."

Savvy couldn't help turning around to see who she'd be working with since she was in the second last row. Her grin quickly changed into a frown as she eyed the pair.

Nova Adams and Lucas King. As you've figured out, she doesn't have a good relationship with either of them. Even if Lucas was known as "the nice athletic", Savvy hated anyone who involved them with Nova.

"Well? Are you going to stare, or actually move so we don't waste any more time? You know how Ms. Barf-win gets when we don't do her worksheets."

"Have some respect," Savvy warned before scooting closer to their table. She turned around to see Noah still in his place.

"I would rather die than work in this group."

"Same here, but unlike you, I have people who actually love me," Nova yawned as she admired her freshly painted nails.

"Well, it's not up to you two," Savvy groaned as she pulled Noah's chair closer to the table.

The four Juniors started working on the paper, arguing over what answer is correct.

"Are you serious? Did you miss learning the periodic table? Noble gasses do not interact with the other elements! Why do you think they're called noble?!" Savvy hissed, glaring at Nova who payed her no attention.

"You act like I'm supposed to care. I'm just answering so the teacher doesn't count me out!"

Lucas slammed his head against the marble counter before mumbling, "Cut it you two, we've been like this for the past twenty minutes!"

"How about we all cut it?!" Noah whispered.

"Shut up gay freak, no one asked you!"

This seemed to have angered Savvy as she tried reaching Nova with clawing hands. "Hey! don't talk to him like that!"

As Lucas and Noah tried holding her back, no one could hear the teacher saying,"Everyone calm down!"

"Seriously? I don't want to do this anymore. Detention sounds more fun!" Nova sighed, clearly amused by Savvy's reaction.

A loud bang caused the four to stop bickering.

"One more sound out of you four and I'll drag you to the principles office. Am I clear?" Ms. Baldwin whispered lowly, her green eyes narrowed.

"Can I go to the bathroom then?" Nova asked, already on her feet.

"I'm sure by now, Ms. Adams, you know I don't allow my students to go to the bathroom."

"I'm sure you can make an-"

"Sit down, Ms. Adams!"

Nova didn't dare to provoke her as she sat back down dropping her bag on the ground next to her.

This time, the group had passed it to Savvy to fill out so no more arguing would occur. After Savvy had finished, she was about to get up and hand the teacher her work, but something made her sit out in her chair.

"Do you guys hear that?" she whispered worried as the sound became louder.

"It sounds like a ticking time bomb," a kid joked, earning glares from the other kids in the room.

"I'm sure it's nothing, everyone stay put in your seats," the teacher sighed walking to Savvy's group. She snatched the paper from her as she held her glasses close to her eyes.

"Ms. Baldwin, I think we should actually be worried. It doesn't sound good."

"I said it's-"

Before anyone could realize what had happened, a loud sound of explosion had hit them, causing each and everyone in that lab to blackout and lose consciousness.

Every class in school had stopped to see what the interruption was. With a crowd circling the smoke-filled room, no one knew what had happened.
