Kapitel 25: A Clash of Words & Wills-II

Duchess Anastasia listened to Sylvette's words with an air of detachment, her gray eyes revealing little of her thoughts. When Sylvette finished speaking, she leaned forward slightly, her voice calm and measured.

"Lady Sylvette," she began, "if what you say is the truth, then I must ask why, just this morning, I received a letter from Lady Visenya Montclair demanding justice in this matter. She claims that you have the backing of Montclair and that I should not consider you weak since you are working on behalf of her family's interests."

Sylvette's eyes widened in shock. She had been used, manipulated into this situation by Lady Visenya Montclair. The current situation seemed as if Sylvette had acted up under the orders from house Montclair and caused the strife. It made her look like a perpetrator. She felt so angry to be used like this.  It was all becoming clear now, but her realization held little value at this point.
