Kapitel 96: Together

"Can I plant something in your garden, Samir?" Nazmi asked, breaking the silence once more.

He looked at her with curious and conflicted eyes. The Prince seemed to have some reserves about her intruding on the ecosystem of his green respite.

"This garden… wasn't started by me alone," he admitted, his voice somber. "He died decades ago, but I can't help feeling like it might be disrespectful to his memory to have someone else plant something in it."

Nazmi hummed in understanding, though she couldn't hide the disappointment in her gaze. "I see. It's kind of you to revere someone so much, I admire you."

"If it were only my garden, I would be more than happy to let you," Samir said quickly, distressed by the sorrowful look on her face.

The nymph was ready to abandon the idea, and look for somewhere else to put her sapling — but an idea struck her.
