History
1943-1965
The origins of the establishment of the state intelligence agency can be traced back to the Japanese occupation, in 1943, at which time Japan established a local version of an intelligence agency known as the Nakano Military Intelligence School. The former Defender of the Homeland soldier (Map), Zulkifli Lubis, is a graduate of the school, as well as the Republicans' first Intelligence Commander.
