Kapitel 3: New Life, New Job
When they were nearing the town, Tesra looked in awe at the place, "What I thought would be a town, IS REALLY A KINGDOM! Haha wow, it's really nice looking, interesting it's kind of like those kingdoms in anime, not giant but still enough to keep power and influence, alright enough talking time to go in"
But as Tesra and Venreta closed to the gate a bunch of guards came out aiming weapons of different types at them, " HOLD IT! Beastkin I assume this is a familiar of sorts? Familiars are allowed just like you but we need to be sure it belongs to you first"
Tesra cringed at the way the guard said beastkin, as of it was followed along by disgust, but she snapped out of it walked to Venreta, "Ven, sit" and so she did, she sat down on her butt and held up a paw, the only reason she knows this is because when the contract was formed she saw memories from Tesras past life and saw her dog doing the same thing, but this information is unknown to Tesra at the moment so it just left her stunned.
Once all the misunderstandings were cleared and Tesra presented her ID to the guards, which were suprised and impressed she could use what they called "Spacial Magic" and ultimately let her enter the kingdom.
While she walked around she kept getting, interesting glances, mainly from the familiar but also cause the non-traditional outfit she was wearing, while everyone was wearing very old style outfit, very medieval types that would be seen in anime.
She finally reached what she assumed to be a Adventure Guild, as she walked in she was met with a lot of Distusted faces and some that looked like they'd fight her immediately if she said something wrong, she quickened her pace and made it to the front desk where another Beastkin was working, 'So am I the only unique Beastkin in the world is it just this kingdom? Ooh I wonder of there's a kingdom for just beast people like in certain animes, I'll have to ask at some point'
While Tesra was inner Monologing, she finally reached the desk, "Hi uhm excuse me but is this in an adventure guild?"
The Beastkin man looked up, "Hello Miss, yes this is an adventure guild, would you like to sign up?"
The Beastman smiled as this was, sadly, the first time in a good while someone had walked up to his desk for help, while he was smiled Tesra nodded, "Yes I would, my name is Tesra and her is my ID, I also have a Fenfox familiar outside, I wasn't sure if familiars were allowed inside or not so I had her wait behind the guild, i hope it's not any trouble"
The Beastman Shook his head trying to clear the suprise and shock, "That's very alright Miss Tesra, normally Familiars are allowed inside most places but seeing are a Fenfox can be kind of...huge..it tends to take up a lot of room in most places, its actually interesting cause you are the second person to every tame a Fenfox, The owner of this guild had one as his familiar but sadly it past away in the Great Kingdom War, at least that's what most people say, but some also speculate that he sent it into hiding until he was at his full strength again to take back his Kingdom that was taken, eh but that's neither here nor there as it's just speculations, anyway here's you're ID and Guild Pass, when you want to enter new Kingdoms or small towns just show them those ID's and they won't ask questions"
Tesla nodded her head with a smile as she took the ID's and placed them in her pocket and sneakily placed them into the system's inventory, she went our and began looking around for an inn to sleep as it was getting dark, while roaming with Venreta by her side, they heard a loud voice, "Let me go you big brute, I told you that you aren't gonna use my damn familiar for you're selfish gains!"
Tesra quickened her pace and noticed a guy gripping a young woman's arm a little to tight while his other hand was gripping the neck off a weird weasel-ferret-gopher looking thing, with a well timed jump kick to the back of his head, Tesra knocked the man out, she looked at the young woman infront of her and raised an eyebrow, 'damn, I thought everyone here was already cute and handsome but this girl blows my thoughts out the park'
While Tesra thought this, the woman noticed the particular gaze and her cheeks glowed a bit red, "Ahem, I uh, I thank you for helping me Miss, my familiar is called a Ferasniff, essentially it's a high value familiar for thieves as it can sniff out hidden gold, treasures, ores, and anything hidden or secret really. Anyway i must again thank you"
She said the last line with determination and respect as she bowed deeply which made Tesra blush and flustered, "Ah hm, ahaha it's ok you don't need to bow, I just heard someone was in trouble and came to help, anyway it's getting late and you should go home ok?"
The girl fidgeted with her fingers while looking down, "I uh, I actually don't have a home anymore, I used to be the daughter of a small town lord until one day bandits raided our homes and burnt our village, I think I was the only survivor as I was playing in a pond a few hours away from the town, by the time I returned the town was burnt and no one would answer my yells, so I left and eventually I made it here."
Tesra thought for a minute before quickly looking at her inventory, she nodded and looked back at the girl, "How about for tonight we get a inn room? I'll buy it, you can choose your own room or we can share a room with two beds, also I'm hungry so I'll be buying us food as well"
The girl wanted to refute but her stomach grumbling interrupted those thoughts, with blush on her cheeks from embarrassment, she just nodded and began following Tesra as they eventually made it to an Inn, bought a single room with two beds and had dinner, they talked a little bit through dinner and Tesra learned that her name was Analeir Vestenia, but Tesra had a hard time pronouncing it so she just stuck with Ana.
They each laid down in their own bed while Fenfox, who actually could change her size into a normal dog about the size of a Great Dane, slept in the floor between them.
