Kapitel 7: Waking up
My eyes slowly opened, as the white light blasted me. However, I managed to make out the figure of someone standing above me, with their palms around my stomach, about the spot where my chakra was found.
I groaned as my eyes fully opened, taking in the sight of a Konoha Hospital Room, a male doctor standing above me, and on a chair sat Raido.
"Ugh, Sensei. How long was I out?" I asked as I sat up.
"Three hours, once you passed out, my shadow clone brought you to the hospital," Raido said as he stood up.
"You all passed, meet me at the same training ground at 12 AM tomorrow," he said before soundlessly disappearing into a Body flicker, devoid of any sound or smoke.
The Medical Ninja simply smiled before turning to me.
"You suffered mild-chakra exhaustion. Luckily, your Sensei got you here quickly enough and allowed me to pump some chakra into you before it turned into major exhaustion. You're free to leave, but avoid using chakra for the next 24 hours," he said, and I nodded before he, too, turned around and walked out.
And as the door opened, a new individual entered.
Sasuke Uchiha.
"Ah, so you do care about me," I said with a smile as he blushed slightly.
"Of course, you're family," he said as he returned to his usual facade.
"So, you'll be taking the mantle of Clan Head?" Sasuke asked me.
"Well, sure. But we still need to contact Lord Hokage, as he holds the keys and documents of the Uchiha Clan," I told him, before leaning up, standing up, and climbing off the bed.
I was still in my usual clothes.
"Let's go talk to him now," I told Sasuke, and he nodded as we continued walking.
We walked in silence through the main road. I wasn't permitted to use chakra, and I wasn't stupid enough to go against the Medical Ninja's word—he knew what he was doing.
As we walked through the Main Street, I spotted three Senju Clansmen making their way down the Main Street.
They were all Chunin, which could be discerned through their flak jackets. Their rank could be seen on their left shoulder, where two silver stripes indicated their rank.
A single stripe meant Genin, two meant Chunin, three meant Tokubetsu Jōnin, three meant Jonin, and a star meant auxiliary forces.
The Senju Clansmen under debate lifted their heads high as they passed me, and I could see Sasuke clench his fists.
Unlike what was believed in Canon, the Senju Clan was not eradicated. Instead, they were without a leader and devoid of their strength. Their strongest member was Senju Takaishi, an Elite Jonin at the mid-level of his rank—still weaker than Gai, Kakashi, and Asuma. Konoha currently had four Elite Jonins without a seat on the Clan Council, then there were those on the Clan Council: Choza Akimichi of the Akimichi Clan, Tsume Inuzuka of the Inuzuka Clan, Shibi Aburame of the Aburame Clan, and Hiashi Hyuga of the Hyuga Clan.
The Yamanaka had no Elite Jonins, but their Clan Head led the interrogation and barrier teams. Neither did the Nara Clan, but the current Clan Head was the Jonin Commander and Chief of the Strategic Department. In total, Konoha had eight Elite Jonins.
Now, the reason that Takaishi Senju didn't possess the Clan Head rank and wasn't represented in the Clan Council:
Simply, Tsunade was the technical Clan Head, and since she hadn't publicly deposed herself of the rank, and Takaishi didn't have any blood from the Clan Head's line, and nobody else was strong enough or close enough, the position was left to Tsunade.
I put my hand on his shoulder.
"Relax, Sasuke. Those three are just cannon fodder. And the Senju are no longer as powerful as they once were," I told him, and he released the grip on his own hand.
"They look down on us. That's all anyone ever does. They look at us with pity or arrogance," Sasuke said silently as we walked.
"Precisely, and that is why we must grow our clan. We must stand on our own again," I told him, and with that, the conversation ended.

Surprisingly enough, once we reached the Hokage Building, the receptionist was waiting for us and led us straight to the Hokage's Office.
I assume some Anbu caught us heading toward the Hokage Building or were at the hospital.
Either way, we were led straight in.
"Hokage-sama," both I and Sasuke said as we entered the room, bowing as we did so.
"Ah, Sasuke-kun and Katsuro-kun, what brings you here?" Hiruzen asked, his grandfatherly aura already there.
"My Lord, Sasuke and I have discussed the future of the Uchiha-Clan, and following Sasuke's proposal, he wishes to transfer the mantle to me," I told Hiruzen, and he turned to Sasuke, who nodded.
"I see, but Katsuro, do you fulfill the requirements?" Hiruzen asked as he made to grab a list, but I cut him off.
"The current state of the Uchiha Clan has met the requirements for emergency-level, and all previous Clan Head requirements have been lowered. I'm a registered ninja, meeting that requirement. My father was the brother to the Clan Head, meaning I am a direct descendant of Uchiha Tajima, the Clan Head before Fugaku, and as there is no other available candidate, I fall within the range of eligible Clan Head candidates," I told Hiruzen, and he looked amused.
"Seems you're quite knowledgeable, but I agree. You meet the requirements," he said as he took out a scroll and handed it to Sasuke.
"Read through it and sign it to transfer candidacy to Katsuro," he told Sasuke, who nodded and got to reading. Meanwhile, Hiruzen turned to me.
"Now, there are a few things to discuss. Firstly, you won't be eligible to attend the High Clan Council meetings until you reach the rank of Jonin. However, the Clan Council meeting every six months will be eligible to you after reaching Chunin," he told me, and I nodded.
"Understood," I told him.
"Regarding the Clan property, they are all under the name of Uchiha, and since you're the new Uchiha Clan Head, you'll gain high administrative permissions to use them as you please. The same goes for the Uchiha Library and Coffers," Hiruzen said before taking out a document, showing the Uchiha District.
"The District is split into two, the core and outer District, and they are separated by the Uchiha walls. There is about 50 meters from the walls to the closest house on the outside. The Uchiha Clan owns 100 of the houses outside the district, which are occupied by civilians outside the Uchiha Clan," he said.
"Inside the walls, there are currently 75 houses, built closely onto each other, except the Clan Head's house. My receptionist will hand you the full economic documents and incomes, as well as our coffers. If you require assistance with them, simply contact us, and we'll have someone help you," Hiruzen said, just in time for Sasuke to place the signed scroll on his desk.
"That will be all. Congratulations, Uchiha Katsuro. As no other candidates have put themselves forward for the position, you'll be automatically granted the title of Uchiha Clan Head and all that comes with it," Hiruzen said, and I smiled.
Ain't that great—clan head at 11 years old.
"Thank you, Lord Hokage," I said, and he nodded.
"If that will be all, I have business to get back to," Hiruzen said, and with that, we turned around and left.
As we exited the office, Sasuke turned to me.
"Will that be all? Can I utilize the Clan Library now?" Sasuke asked as I turned my head towards him.
"Indeed, but only the C-rank area. Your chakra, nor mine, has enough capacity to withstand the chakra consumption of a B-ranked jutsu," I told him, and although he looked disappointed, he nodded, and with that, we made our way back to the apartment.
