Kapitel 41: Unexpected Gains

At the moment, a dramatic scene was unfolding in Sasuke's house. Itachi grabbed Sasuke by the neck with one hand, lifting him into the air, and spoke in an emotionless tone.

"If you open your eyes, including mine, there will be three pairs of Mangekyō Sharingan in this world," he said. "If that's the case, then you have a reason to live. You are not worth being killed right now. My foolish little brother, if you want to kill me, then hate me, detest me, and live your ugly life. Run away. Keep running away. Just do your best to survive. Then, when you have the same eyes as mine, come find me again."

After saying that, he threw Sasuke to the ground like garbage and turned to leave. Sasuke landed, covered his neck, and coughed repeatedly. He then picked up a kunai and charged at his brother like a madman.

"Why! Why! Why did you kill Mom and Dad?" he screamed. Nearby lay the bodies of their parents. Sasuke would never forget the sight when he opened the door. The brother he once respected the most had killed their parents with his own hands. This left Sasuke puzzled, angry, and crazed.

At that moment, his mind was in turmoil, filled with negative emotions like hatred and anger, overwhelming his rationality. As he chased Itachi out the door, his previously dark eyes turned scarlet, activating his Sharingan. Normally, Sasuke would have been thrilled to activate his Sharingan, but now he only wanted to use the kunai to pierce the heart of the brother he once admired.

"Why did you do that?" Sasuke demanded.

"Of course, it was to test my strength and gain more power," Itachi replied. Itachi, being immensely powerful, easily grabbed Sasuke's hand, rendering him immobile. He was surprised that Sasuke activated the Sharingan but had no time to dwell on it, as the Anbu and Root ninjas were approaching to clean up the scene.

"For such a trivial reason, you actually..." Sasuke's anger intensified. He gripped the kunai tightly, his nails piercing his skin and blood dripping.

"This is not a trivial reason. Only with enough power can I dominate the world and achieve my goals. And you, my foolish brother, they died because you are weak," Itachi stated. Time was running out, and Itachi's Sharingan began to rotate and merge, transforming into the shape of a windmill.

This new form of Sharingan trapped Sasuke's mind. Before he could react, the scene changed, and he witnessed the massacre of the Uchiha clan and his parents' deaths. He cried, roared, and screamed, but could only watch helplessly.

"Tsukuyomi!" Itachi said, releasing Sasuke's hand. Itachi's expression shifted from being cold to one of sadness and sorrow. "Forgive me, Sasuke."

Meanwhile, Danzo and Sarutobi, timing their actions precisely, set out with Anbu and Root ninjas to the Uchiha clan. Even the seasoned Anbu and Root ninjas were horrified by the sight: the once-powerful Uchiha clan had been turned into a living hell. From the elderly to newborns, no one was spared. The Uchiha clan's blood stained the ground—a horrific genocide.

"What on earth is going on here?" a ninja asked. "Did the Uchiha clan offend someone? Who did this? This is too cruel!" Regardless of age, gender, or status, everyone was killed.

Searching house to house, Anbu and Root ninjas found no survivors. Every door opened revealed a scene of shocking red and lifeless bodies. Even Danzo felt a chill. He never imagined Itachi would mercilessly kill his people. However, Danzo quickly regained his composure and ordered his men to continue searching for survivors. Just then, he felt something was wrong.

"I saw it all…" A cold breeze blew, but Danzo felt a chilling cold. He realized he had fallen into a genjutsu. Turning to the voice's source, he saw a subordinate whose eyes had transformed into Sharingan. "I will continue to watch. If you harm Sasuke, I will leak all the village's secrets to enemy nations."

Danzo remained silent. It was not until the body of "Itachi" in front of him turned into a crow and disappeared that he blurted out two words with an ugly expression, "Asshole!"

He was the leader of the Root and the second-in-command of the Konoha, but he was threatened because of a seven-year-old kid.

But he really didn't dare act rashly; otherwise, he would face Itachi's unimaginable crazy revenge.

Elsewhere, near Might Guy's residence, Yato prepared to head to the Uchiha clan but halted as an unknown object attacked him. Catching it, he found a scroll filled with fire-style ninjutsu, including the Great Fireball, a Uchiha-exclusive jutsu.

"I don't remember giving you a second rice ball." Yato turned around and looked directly at Itachi, asking, "What do you want to do by giving me this suddenly?"

"You will know what happened tomorrow." Itachi said in a cold tone while wearing a mask, "You are strong, but not strong enough. Before Sasuke finds me, you will become a tool to measure his determination."

"What did you do?" Yato asked.

"As a tool, you must be aware of your role," Itachi replied before turning into crows and flying away.

Yato contemplated Itachi's actions. Despite killing his parents and clan, Itachi still thought of his brother.

"Are all Uchiha clan members so complex? Can't they just talk normally?" Riku asked.

"He was worried I might notice something," Yato said, holding the scroll. He understood Itachi's feelings. Itachi didn't want innocent people involved but also didn't want Sasuke to be alone.

It is not easy to find such a person, because he knows his younger brother very well. If a child with a happy family like Haruno Sakura is willing to lend a helping hand, Sasuke would definitely regard their kindness as sympathy, pity, etc.

Sasuke will not accept these good intentions, as they will only have the opposite effect. He will never let the other party enter his world.

But Yato is different. He is the son of a sinner and has an extremely rough fate. He has been looked down upon since childhood. In some ways, his life is more miserable than Sasuke's, which could be related.

And the most crucial point is that he once defeated Sasuke and was one of the few peers recognized by Sasuke.

"That is to say, between his brother and an innocent person, he still chose his brother."

He suddenly wanted to ask Itachi whether it was worth doing this.
