"If you want something, you have to pay the price," Satoru said, his tone suddenly serious, his pale blue eyes sharp as they bore into Sasuke and Naruto.
The air grew heavy with tension, and his demeanor shifted drastically.
"So..."
The oppressive weight of his gaze made both boys instinctively take a step back.
Sasuke and Naruto exchanged uncertain glances, swallowing nervously. What price does he mean?
The atmosphere felt like a taut string, ready to snap at any moment.
"So, let's settle this with ramen!" Satoru declared, his expression dead serious.
His hair swayed dramatically in the wind, as if nodding in agreement with his decision.
"...Ramen?" Sasuke repeated, breaking the silence.
"Yes, a ramen competition!" Satoru beamed, clearly proud of his idea. "If you win, I'll delete the blackmail material. If you lose… you get punished."
"Punished how?" Naruto asked curiously.
"Loser wears women's clothing," Satoru said with an exaggeratedly solemn nod, as if declaring a law of nature.
For a moment, the two boys stood in stunned silence.
After what felt like forever, Naruto broke into a grin. "I'm in! And don't worry, big brother, I'll definitely win!"
"You sound confident," Sasuke muttered, narrowing his eyes.
"Of course I am!" Naruto said, puffing out his chest. "I'm a ramen-eating genius! Just like big brother, no one dares to mess with me!"
Satoru smirked, crossing his arms. "That's the spirit, Naruto. Anyone who messes with us gets taken down immediately. Right, Sasuke?"
Sasuke's face was a mix of disbelief and irritation as he stared at the two of them. What is even happening right now?
"Fine," Sasuke said at last, giving in to the absurdity. "I'll join. But don't think I'll lose to either of you!"
"Great!" Satoru clapped his hands together, grinning. "But first, Naruto, you said you were cleaning the Hokage Rock, right?"
Naruto scratched his head sheepishly. "Yeah, but there's still a lot left to do."
Satoru looked at the smudges on the rock statues with mock seriousness, rubbing his chin. "You just need them clean, right?"
Naruto nodded. "Right, but it'll take forever!"
A sly smile spread across Satoru's face as his pale blue eyes gleamed. "Not a problem. Step back and watch."
The three stood atop the Hokage Rock, looking down at the statues below and the sprawling village beyond.
"Uh, what are you planning?" Sasuke asked warily, his gut telling him this wouldn't end well.
"Trust me," Satoru said, flipping his blindfold up to reveal his piercing Six Eyes.
"Great Waterfall Technique!"
With a dramatic flourish, he raised his hands, and an enormous wave of water surged forth, cascading down the Hokage Rock statues and sweeping away the dirt, smudges, and even the graffiti.
Sasuke and Naruto stood frozen, wide-eyed and slack-jawed.
"...What the heck are you doing?!" Sasuke shouted, his voice cracking with disbelief.
Naruto pointed at the scene before them, stammering, "Big brother, y-you're flooding the village!"
The massive wave swept through the area, soaking everything in its path. People in the village below looked up in confusion, their day abruptly interrupted by what seemed like an unseasonal waterfall.
Satoru stood tall, arms crossed confidently as if he'd just solved world hunger.
"There," he said smugly, turning to the two boys. "Clean as a whistle."
"...You're insane," Sasuke muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose.
Naruto's expression wavered between awe and horror. "That was… amazing! But also, are we gonna get in trouble for this?"
Satoru waved a hand dismissively. "Trouble? Please. They should be thanking me for giving the Hokage Rock the deluxe cleaning it deserves."
"Deluxe cleaning?" Sasuke snapped. "You just turned the entire mountain into a giant fountain!"
Ignoring Sasuke's complaints, Satoru gestured grandly toward the now-pristine rock. "Now that that's settled, let's get to the ramen competition!"
"...I hate you," Sasuke muttered, reluctantly following as Naruto cheered enthusiastically.
As they descended the mountain, Satoru smirked to himself.
Life's too short not to enjoy the chaos.
