Loguetown.
Inside the office of a certain naval base, sat Smoker, an officer with the rank of Captain.
With his legs propped up and a cigar hanging from his lips, it was hard to imagine that this seemingly rough and thuggish man was actually a Marine Captain in charge of the Loguetown branch.
Smoker was originally stationed at the Marine Headquarters but was sent to Loguetown in the East Blue due to certain circumstances.
As a Logia-type Devil Fruit user, it was an easy task for him to suppress the pirates in East Blue, who hadn't even set foot on the Grand Line.
Because of this, Loguetown was much safer compared to other places, and many pirates didn't dare to act recklessly there.
"Captain Smoker, there's an emergency!"
A Marine burst into the office without knocking.
Smoker frowned and asked, "What's going on?"
The Marine hesitated for a moment, glancing at Smoker with a hint of fear.
Every Marine in the base had undergone hellish training under Smoker's command, and as a result, many had a certain degree of fear towards him.
"It seems that Captain Nezumi of the 16th Branch was attacked by pirates and is now missing, possibly dead.
The 16th Branch has lost all contact with him and his ship."
"What did you say?!"
Smoker's initial reaction was disbelief.
The East Blue was known as the weakest of the four seas, so it was hard to imagine that any pirate could wipe out a Marine ship commanded by a captain.
Even the so-called "great pirates" of East Blue were nothing more than fodder when they entered the Grand Line. In Smoker's eyes, they were just small fry.
Suddenly, the door to the office was opened again.
A tall woman with short black hair and glasses entered.
"Captain Smoker, I've gathered the information you requested about the 16th Branch."
"Take a look at these documents."
"A Marine captain, collaborating with pirates? This is the kind of corruption that undermines the Marines!"
Smoker's expression darkened as he reviewed the documents.
"Damn it! A bunch of scum, hiding behind the Navy's name to protect pirates!"
"It's no wonder more and more people are losing faith in the Navy. It's because of parasites like these!"
A pirate had ruled over a small island for eight years. For eight long years, the people had lived under the oppression of pirates.
"Damn it! Those bastards should be exterminated!"
"Tashigi, gather everyone and prepare the ships. We're heading to Cocoyasi Village to wipe out the Arlong Pirates!"
"Uh…"
Tashigi hesitated and then said, "Captain Smoker, the Arlong Pirates were eliminated a few days ago."
"Eliminated?"
"By whom?"
"Another Marine branch?"
Smoker asked with a frown.
Tashigi shook her head, "Not by the Navy, but by another pirate crew."
"A pirate crew?!"
"There's a pirate crew strong enough to do that in East Blue?"
"Tashigi, pirate crews fight for their own interests. If they've eliminated Arlong, it's only to take over his territory and continue oppressing the people of Cocoyasi Village."
"The only way to free them is to completely eradicate all the pirates."
Tashigi sighed helplessly, "But those pirates have already left."
"They left?"
"What about the villagers of Cocoyasi?"
"They're unharmed, and actually…"
"The villagers seem to be intentionally hiding the pirates' identities… It seems they don't trust the Navy."
Smoker gritted his teeth and slammed his hand on the desk.
"Damn it!"
"If it weren't for those corrupt scum, the Marines wouldn't have lost the trust of the people."
"It's likely these pirates attacked them. Either way, we should issue a bounty."
Even in the weakest of the four seas, things were getting out of hand.
Could this be the influence of the Great Pirate Era?
Smoker was well aware that not long ago, the Warlord of the Sea, Dracule Mihawk, had appeared in East Blue.
The mere presence of such a figure in the East Blue was abnormal.
Moreover, Mihawk was reportedly defeated by a young man.
It was hard to believe that someone so young could defeat the world's greatest swordsman, Dracule Mihawk.
In these turbulent times, could he still maintain peace in Rogue Town?
At that moment, Ryujiro and Hinata were enjoying the sea breeze on the deck of their ship.

Curse energy was indeed a fascinating power.
Hinata looked at Ryujiro's snow-white hair and couldn't help but ask, "Ryujiro-kun, why did you change your hair to white?"
Ryujiro smiled faintly.
"Since we're in a new world, I thought I should change my appearance. It wouldn't be right if I didn't."
A change of appearance…
For some reason, Ryujiro-kun looked even more charming with white hair, and as she gazed at him, Hinata's face flushed.
Ryujiro's course was set for Loguetown.
Although there was no navigator on board, by following the familiar sea routes from his memory, he could roughly guess the location of Loguetown.
However, Ryujiro was also considering whether he should recruit a navigator in Loguetown.
This ship didn't need anyone to steer it; even the wind couldn't alter its course, as the entire ship was under Ryujiro's control.
After sailing for a while, a strange pirate ship suddenly appeared ahead of them.
This pirate ship was much larger than Ryujiro's. The bow of the ship featured a skull that looked like a clown, and the entire vessel was decorated like a circus.
The most noticeable thing about this ship was its red nose, which instantly caught one's attention.
As Ryujiro stared at the ship, his eyes narrowed, and a smile tugged at the corners of his lips.
"Buggy the Star Clown."
"What a coincidence."
"Captain Buggy, there's a ship ahead of us!"
"A ship?!"
"Is it the Straw Hat kid?"
Buggy's eyes gleamed with excitement, hoping that the ship belonged to Luffy.
"No, Captain Buggy, it's a man and a woman."
Moji, holding a telescope, observed Ryujiro and Hinata on the deck.
These two must be crazy to sail the seas alone, without a crew. Don't they fear running into pirates and meeting their doom?
"Alright, men! We've got some work to do!"
"Don't use the cannons; we'll board them and take all their treasure!"
"Yes, Captain Buggy!"
Buggy's crew cheered excitedly.
Pirates on the open sea were typically ruthless, committing all manner of atrocities. Pirates like Luffy were rare exceptions.
Buggy was the more common type.
Under Buggy's command, the pirate ship approached Ryujiro's, and they threw grappling hooks to latch onto it.
Leading his crew, Buggy charged onto the deck.
However, after boarding, Ryujiro and Hinata remained motionless, as if Buggy and his men were invisible, continuing to relax and enjoy the sea breeze.
Seeing Ryujiro and Hinata's indifference, Buggy's face darkened.
"Damn it!"
"Get up, you bastards! I'm the great pirate, Captain Buggy!"
"If you want to live, hand over all your treasure!"

"Hey! Kid!"
"Our captain's talking to you! Didn't you hear him?"
"Is this kid deaf or something?!"
One of the pirates, annoyed by Ryujiro's arrogant demeanor, strutted forward with a look of disdain.
As he reached out to touch Ryujiro's shoulder, a sudden sharp pain, like needles piercing his arm, spread through his body.
"Ahhhhh!"
"My arm!"
The pirate staggered back, and within moments, several lines of blood appeared on his arm before it exploded into chunks of flesh.
His arm was completely destroyed.
Ryujiro glanced at the group indifferently and said, "If you want treasure, go get it yourself. Don't use your filthy hands to touch me."
Buggy's face turned pale as he looked at the pieces of flesh on the ground, a trace of fear flashing in his eyes.
What the hell just happened?
Could it be that this guy is also a Devil Fruit user?
Buggy, known for bullying the weak and fearing the strong, would usually run at the first sign of a more powerful opponent.
He initially thought there were only two people on this ship.
As long as they handed over their treasure quietly, he wouldn't make things difficult for them. But now, it seemed they were the ones in trouble.
Buggy's crew was completely bewildered.
They hadn't seen what had just happened, and the pirate whose arm was destroyed continued to wail as blood gushed out uncontrollably.
"What the hell did you do?!"
Most of these pirates were ruthless criminals, and Ryujiro saw no need to show them mercy.
One of the pirates rushed forward, only to be blasted away by a sudden force.
"Plop!"
The pirate fell into the sea with no further movement.
"All of you, stop!"
Buggy's eyes widened, as if he had just realized something, and he quickly shouted.
Recently, there had been many rumors in the East Blue.
It was said that Mihawk had been defeated by a young man, and that young man was traveling with a girl who had distinctive white eyes.
And that girl... had purple hair and white pupils!
Damn it!
Could it really be the guy who defeated Mihawk?!
I'm finished! I'm dead meat!
Buggy, who had always relied on cunning to survive on the seas, knew he couldn't stand up to someone who had defeated the world's greatest swordsman.
His pirate crew was nothing in front of this man!
"Captain Buggy! What's wrong with you?"
"There's only two of them! No matter how strong they are, we can still take them down, right?"
"We need to avenge our comrade, Captain Buggy!"
As expected, Buggy's crew was as idiotic as he was. Had they not realized the gap between them and this man?
"Boom!"
In an instant, an invisible shockwave spread outwards, causing the pirates on the deck to lose their balance.
"Plop! Plop!"
One after another, the pirates were sent flying into the sea by the invisible force.
Whether they could survive or not was uncertain, as the shockwave had likely caused internal injuries, leaving them with a survival chance of zero.
With the deck cleared, only Buggy remained, trembling as he stood there. He fell to his knees, his voice shaking as he begged, "Please, spare... spare me!"
"Spare me?"
Several black lines appeared on Ryujiro's forehead.
Do I look that old, just because I have white hairs?
Ryujiro silently questioned himself.
"You know who I am?"
Gulp.
Buggy swallowed nervously.
"Just... a guess."
Ryujiro glanced at Buggy again. "Seems like that tiny brain of yours has some use after all."
"The treasure is inside. If you want it, go get it."
Ryujiro said nonchalantly.
These words made Buggy even more nervous. He forced a smile that looked more like a grimace, his expression utterly ridiculous.
"Please, just let me go!"
Buggy looked like he was about to cry.
Hinata, who had been quiet all this time, hadn't moved since she first glanced at Buggy.
Having followed Ryujiro for so long, even Hinata had grown accustomed to enjoying life.
"You know you don't dare touch it, so why aren't you leaving?"
Ryujiro's icy voice reached Buggy's ears.
Buggy felt a surge of joy but didn't dare show it. He quickly nodded, "I'll leave! I'll leave! I'll go right now!"
Without another word, Buggy hurried back to his ship.
The remaining pirates were utterly confused as they watched Buggy. Did they just see him kneel and beg?
"Captain Buggy..."
Mohji started to speak, but a bad feeling suddenly overcame him. He wasn't the only one; everyone on the ship felt it too.
"Hey! What's that!"
Everyone's eyes widened as they stared at the red glow at Ryujiro's fingertip.
Ryujiro glanced at them casually, murmuring to himself, "Struggle all you want."
Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!
Everyone on Buggy's pirate ship felt the scorching heat as a red light engulfed them.
The sea churned with massive waves as Buggy's large pirate ship was shattered into pieces, reduced to rubble in an instant.
Ryujiro was still adjusting to the cursed energy surging within him.
The power of the technique wasn't fully unleashed.
If he had better control over his cursed energy, the power of "Red" would have been far greater.
As he looked at the burning wreckage, Ryujiro felt no emotion.
Whether Buggy lived or died didn't matter to him at all.
Gazing at the sun in the sky, Ryujiro frowned.
"The sun is a bit too bright today."
During his time at sea, Ryujiro had been training his control over cursed energy.
Black Flash didn't need a target to be effective; he could even strike the air with it.
On the deck, Ryujiro practiced Black Flash repeatedly, managing to unleash it over ten times in a single day.
Gojo Satoru's incredible strength wasn't just due to his cursed energy but also his invincible abilities.
In the mental space where Ryujiro sparred with Gojo, the most frustrating thing was the infinity between them.
The same technique used by Gojo was far more powerful than when Ryujiro used it.
"Huff... huff..."
Ryujiro retreated from the mental space, panting heavily.
