Unbelievable..
Edwyn was shocked.
Even in his true death, The Night King made sure to end what the Children of the forest began.
He ended all life North of the Wall except a single Weirwood tree standing its ground and its inhabitants barely surviving. The true north was turned into a frozen hell. Winds that turned everything into ice and temperatures far below the coldest anything living could survive.
Even the air froze solid.
He was standing on the frozen sea of the North and the ships that had the last remaining free folk barely remained at a far enough distance to not get stuck.
The Night King, with the last of his magic and soul created a blizzard all over the true north that would never stop. But, Edwyn breathed a sigh of relief when he sensed that The Wall was standing strong and was keeping the blizzard from going south. It was containing the deathly winds within the domain of the dead Night King.
As he boarded the main ship, Jon asked, "Is he dead?"
Edwyn looked pensively at everyone and said, "Aye.. The Night King is no more.. But!"
He stopped everyone before they could begin to rejoice.
"But.. In his last moments, he used all of his magic and sacrificed his soul to make sure that nothing living ever steps into the true north. Nothing.. animals, trees, small plants.. nothing is alive anymore. Except a single Weirwood tree and its inhabitants."
Before anyone could call him out, Edwyn threw a knife towards the shore and as everyone on the ship watched, the knife turned into a block of ice and fell down.
"Your only choice is to come south with Jon and I."
"What about the survivors inside the Weirwood tree?" Jon asked anxiously.
Edwyn stared towards the endless zone of absolute death and replied, "It's your brother and his companions, Jon. Bran Stark, his direwolf, the half giant from tour stables and two more children around Bran's age. Quite brave of them to come this far in the north, I must say."
Jon, meanwhile, was not in the state of admiring Bran's bravery. Instead, he was terrified for his brother's safety.
"Don't be an imbecile, Jon. There is no way you'd survive in there. You'll freeze to death before you even reach the shore."
Jon ground his teeth and yelled, "I have to save my brother!"
Edwyn looked at Jon as if he was looking at a man whose intelligence was lower than the temperature of the blizzard of the north.
"You are standing next to a man who destroyed the entire army of the Night King and the abomination himself with actual lava."
He handed Jon a tri-pronged knife and said, "Place it somewhere with a lot of space, away from Thorne and his faction of bitter men."
"What the hell will this do?!"
Edwyn replied with a smirk, "This will bring your brother back."

The world was changing for the worse.
Ever since Ashai fell, the sinful desires of men and women plagued the land of Essos.
The black mist left nothing uncorrupted. Meereen was the last safe haven to fall.
Daenerys hugged herself as she recalled the night all was lost. She woke up to Jorah Mormont trying force himself on her. Shocked and then enraged, she had thrown him against the wall and placed her sword at his throat, threatening to behead him.
But, his eyes were vacant and unfocused. She tried to snap him out of his frenzy to no avail.
As she fought the savaged Jorah Mormont, she observed his veins blackening which filled the man with overwhelming strength.
She fought hard and only at the moment she was about to behead him, did he snap out of his state.
He pleaded her to kill him. He was barely able to stay sane. Despite of his jealousy and mistrust of Edwyn, Daenerys knew that he simply wanted the best for her.
Even in his last moments, he did not confess his love. There was no need to. She could see the pain in his eyes and it devastated her.
To die at the hands of the one you loved, she wished for no one to suffer like that.
Daenerys managed to escape with eight thousand unsullied and the reat of her household from her time as the Khaleesi. Ser Barristan was also with her, safe but mildly wounded when he was busy fending off the frenzied people whom she once acknowledged as hers.
She had disappointed Edwyn. She feared how he would react upon learning about her failure to successfully rule over a city. But, she had to do as was planned. She believed in Edwyn. He was capable of performing miracles. Certain that he would find a way to save Essos, Daenerys faced ahead filled with determination and longing.
Ever since the dreaded night she was born, she had been away from what was rightfully hers. Dragonstone, the land of her ancestors Aegon and his sister-wives.. She was finally sailing back to that land.
She was returning home.. And, she would finally be able to feel the embrace of the man she loved.

Kzarka watched hatefully as the lover of his enemy managed to escape. He had hoped to turn her into one of his minions and use her against the otherworld creature in an opportune moment.
Alas, not all plans come to fruition.
Many millenia ago the gods had sealed him and placed the key to his prison inside his foolish younger brother.
It was a mess they had created. The gods couldn't do much to R'hllor so they brought that diabolical being to Planetos. Never would they have thought that R'hllor would die and undo what they had so painstakingly achieved.
'Bet they are drinking themselves in sorrow. A monstrosity like 'him' has no place in this world. Wouldn't it have been better to let this world succumb to my will? Now, look what you've done.. Our battle will destroy this world. Countless millenia spent to nurture Planetos and all will be gone because the gods decided to bring 'him' here as their champion. It'll all be your fault.'

Traitor..
No matter who or what he was, Jon Snow was a traitor.
Countless men had died to keep the wildlings away but that fool brought thousands of those savages south of The Wall.
Thorne knew the moment he saw him. He knew that Jon was going to bring disaster upon Westeros.
Jon Snow had spat on the sacrifices of the brothers and he was going to pay.
All preparations were made.
Thorne was ready. He was going to avenge the murder of Qhorin Half hand.
He brought the knife forward with all of his hatred when...
"Yeah... I wouldn't do that if I were you. What the fuck do you think you are doing, Thorne? Killing your own Lord Commander? My my.. You can't do shit without me there to save your pasty ass, can you, Jon?"
All of his accomplices were down, knocked out by the man who terrified the living daylights out of him.
With a knife to Thorne's neck, Edwyn whispered, "The Night's Watch is of no use anymore. So, why don't I relieve you of your oath? You can be mad together with your Mad King."
The Stranger was smiling. It was time feed on some souls.
