Kapitel 31: Chapter 31: Help

Keon gave Nath one last look before moving towards the table where food was already laid out and started eating. Maybe because he hasn't eaten any real food for the last 3 days, it causes the food he was currently eating to taste really good

"Master, I need to say something to you" Gabe said when the three of them were finally done eating

Keon stared at the two while raising his brows as he suddenly felt that the atmosphere turned serious. "What is it?"

"Master, you need to be stronger as soon as possible and for that, we will support you"

Keon nodded his head at that. Since Gabe and Mady are actually far stronger than they normally show, it wasn't a surprise that the people behind them are filthy rich. Keon already anticipated this outcome

"How?"

"We want to give you as many resources as you need but sadly, we cannot do that. Suddenly giving an orphan a ton of resources will attract attention. Our enemies might start investigating us"

"The way we thought of giving you help is when we are Hunting monsters in the other realms. We can store precious items in there and set it up in a way that people think we discovered them"

That was actually a good plan but Keon can easily think of the disadvantages it will have

"That's plausible but if your organization is really big, I think you can only give me scrap resources using this way. It's not like we can say that we discover treasures in every trip that we make. That would limit how much you can give me "

Since Gabe and Mady are treating Keon as their Master without explaining all the things he wants to know then why not use them, right? Not to mention, they are the ones that offered help

"We don't have a choice, Master. We still can't announce to the world your presence and we can only do this but this would only be a temporary thing. Six months from now, a competition for the surviving orphans that trained in the Hunter's Camp will be held. By that time, Master will already become far stronger and you can make a name for yourself. If you become a genius in the government's eyes, it wouldn't be surprising anymore if you have a large number of cultivation resources "

Keon sank in deep thought trying to analyze the pros and cons and other alternatives for that. However, it looks like that is really the best course of action to prevent anyone from giving him too much attention

If Keon occasionally found treasures in the wild, he will naturally have more money for resources. If he has resources, even if he performed extremely well in the competition, it wouldn't be suspicious especially since he is already considered one of the geniuses among his batch of trainees

"Then let's do that" Keon answered and he was about to return to his bed when knocking sounds entered their ears

Mady stood up from her seat and checked who was knocking in their door

Seeing the beautiful yet cold Mady, the errand boy can't help but gulp a mouthful of saliva. Despite not saying anything, Mady was really intimidating

"T-these are Level 2 B-Body Serums. S-Sir Dante figured out that this might be the time when the trainees will wake up and decided to give these serums before you head back in your hometown tomorrow"

In the errand boy's hand was a small box and Mady silently took it before closing the door

Looking at the box in Mady's hand, Keon can't help but feel a bit excited. Just the Level 1 Body Serum he had used before already enhances his body by a large margin. What more if he uses the more advanced version?

It might not be a problem for Keon to punch and leave marks on a boulder after using this Body Serum

"Master, use one of the serums and you can keep ours. We don't really need to use these serums"

Keon didn't stand in the ceremony and accepted it while separating one for Nath's use. Since Gabe and Mady's backing is powerful, it wouldn't be a surprise if they already use Body Serum at this level

This made Keon wonder a bit how did the two used the serums from before and trick the government

"Anyways, the government is really stingy at times. They don't even let us use the rooms we used before. But maybe that's because they think our willpower is already high enough to withstand the pain after being baptized by real blood. There is also a possibility that some trainees will be broken and they don't want to use resources for them anymore but since they said that surviving will earn us resources, they can't not give these serums to us "

With the box of serums in his hand, Keon head back to his bed and sat on it before injecting the serum into his body

The intense feeling of pain once again assaulted his body. The serum was improving Keon's cells itself but it was too painful especially since he is not in the room that can suppress the pain anymore

Without a choice, Keon gritted his teeth and endured the pain. This might be painful but no doubt it will help Keon become stronger. He needs to get used to pain since this is not the first time he will experience it

August 4 Year 1,000 of the Mystic Calendar

Early the next day, the six surviving trainees were ordered to head in the teleportation point and they were sent into a large government-owned building

This building only has rooms though and those rooms only have the basic thing a home needs. Broke Hunters will often rent the rooms in these kinds of buildings since the government will give them a discount

It was easy to make money for a Hunter but that is only if they have the ability to. If they don't need to care about the teleportation fee, they would have an easier life. They only need to hunt weak monsters from time to time and accumulate money

However, the government knows that and they won't let their Hunters only hunt monsters far below their level

The rooms were similar to the ones in the orphanage and the Hunter Camp. They only have beds, tables, and some chairs

There is the option of renting a whole room for a single person or they can share it with other people. Since a month's lodging is free for Keon and the others, they were only given a single room. It was not that much different from their room in the Hunter Camp

This time, Keon chose the first floor of the double-deck bed. It was a bit of a nuisance for him to use the stairs whenever he needs something

Sitting in his bed, Keon saw three pairs of folded uniforms. The uniform has the logo of the Hunter Department. The uniform was composed of a simple gray vest and pants

Since there are tons of different kinds of environment in the wild realms, the government can't really give a uniform that will have a camouflaging effect

They can give a greenish and brownish uniform as it was easy to blend in a forest but what if the realm they went to is a realm full of volcanoes or endless sea?

Besides, there are a lot of people that have mystics forms that covered their whole bodies. The uniform was only mostly used in formal settings

On top of the uniform was also Keon's badge and proof that he is a hunter. There is the option of using his watch since it is bound by his identity but there might be times that it would get broken or destroyed. Hence, a physical badge is still needed

Keon took the uniforms and placed them in the cabinet before he saw that Nath was still feeling down

With a sigh, Keon walks towards his friends. "Let's go, we'll sell our remaining cores and the crystal slimes' core then I'll treat you with good food" Keon said trying to make his friend feel better but Nath shook his head

"There's no need for that. You don't need to treat me"

This Nath is really acting differently than usual. "Come on, don't be stubborn. Our friends won't like it if they see you this sad. Instead of feeling depressed, we should just grow stronger and avenge them by killing more monsters. And for that, we need cultivation resources. Let's sell our materials and buy things that will make us stronger"

Fortunately, Keon's words seem effective as a hint of life finally appeared in Nath's face

"Un! I need to get stronger for their sake!"

'A simpleton will always be a simpleton' Keon thought while shaking his head and their group of four went to a branch of the Hunter Department in their City by using public train
