Seventy-nine hours remained until the level's conclusion, and Tristan stared at the hovering timer anxiously. As the seconds slowly ticked away, he felt the weight of every minute. 

"Three days," he mumbled to himself. "Three days to get to Mirabella and complete this cursed level. Every second slipping through like sand." The room seemed to close in on him. "I can't fail. Not ever. I won't go through that nightmare of repetition," he muttered, recalling the brutal disappointing possibility of having to restart a level.

Time was his enemy. He could almost hear it laugh, mocking his helplessness. Why had he been so confident earlier? The gravity of the task of debugging was setting in.
