it's a new kind of a novel and the description seems really interesting and I hope so will be the novel.🌟💕🌟💕🌟💕 Good luck author🤗🤗🤗
Spoiler. By chapter 224 he already f...ed like eight or nine women... and another one being tagged.. there's still about 100 chapters left.. honestly this gigolo, womanizer MC destroys the novel, he teases women and f..cs them more and more often. He is a hypocrite as well when it comes to murder and stuff, sigh. The pacing is also all over the place. Almost half of the novel is some politics with martial arts then we had this artifical/virtual realm where young elites from all over the world were teleported to, which would be ok if it was only this, but now, suddenly some magic, powerful heaven breaking techniques that some xianxia don't have, formations, devils (?), immortality, changing face, changing gender, changing bodies..!!! MC battling thousands of martial artists/soldiers with his pew pew godly fire blast!! And that WTH plot twist with MC's father. This novel ridiculousness spiraled out of hand much faster and with a much bigger bang than Human Emperor. MC has a cheat that can teleport him between places and stay undetected, he's already kind of god that can assasasinate someone or make him a criminal by putting proof in his mansion or something. The martial artist association in empire or the shadow guard became pretty irrelevant and forgotten. Better to read The Human Emperor or Black iron's Glory. They're not perfect but i liked them much more than this My Wife.
A few positive things about this novel: 1. The translator exists. Also, the translation is pretty good. 2. The characters have their own motivations and aren't made of cardboard. 3. This novel has better plot than most other translated novels on the site. I can 100% recommend this novel (or at least the first 20 chapters) based on these three points alone.
Hey guys, am the translator for this novel. Do give this a read, the title is very misleading and superficial compared to the actual story! I like the way the author writes, he/she maintains the image of an arrogant playboy MC while keeping the face slapping at a minimum. There's also a lot of intelligent plotting involved rather than just purely about cultivation. Hope you guys like it, and many thanks in advance for supporting! :)
Spoiler enthüllenthe fact that it wasnt necessary to constantly challange the MCs actions, and that out of the 4 developed characters in the story so far, all of them are independant, unpredictable and intelligent so far, is justification enough that this novel is better than nearly everything in the past month. it also has an actual translator. first 20 chapters, has comedy elements, scheming, politics, no action as of yet, the mc isnt ur japanese haram mc, system doesnt seem overly OP, refreshingly every chapter isnt about what level people are or cultivation info fingers crossed, pretty good, kind of similar to martial kings retired life, dont know if it will stay consistent however
Wow, one of the better novels in all of WN most recent picks. It's a 'Transmigrated with a System' story but the focus on the system is very minor, so far I think there's been less than 200 words regarding the system. The type of system is also one that's entirely hands off, allowing the MC to actually have a life and further the plot without referring to it every three paragraphs. As for the MC, we finally get an intelligent, down to earth character that actually thinks before he acts rather than arrogantly throwing his ill-gotten power around and stomping on everyone. The MC plays the part of a wastrel third son of the powerful prime minister but does it in such a way that the readers dont just hate his guts and want to punch him in the face. As for the side characters, they actually show some depth and ambiguity. His father is intelligent, highly capable and kind hearted, but he purposefully fosters an image as a cold hearted and greedy official so as to not threaten the emperor and bring trouble on his clan. So much different than those of similar stories that will already be planning rebellion within the first 5 chapters rather than just moderating their actions. The Emperor is appropriately mysterious, being more than the arrogant, almighty figure we see in these novels. Even 39 chapters in I still cant say how much he knows, or how he really feels towards the MC and his dad. The female lead isnt the Mary Sue type I was expecting either. Yes she's a talented Martial artist and a competent general despite her young age, but those can all be expected given that her father is a great general and raised her in that manner. Despite this, she also shows some flaws and a believable lack of competence when she tries to deal with the city guard the same way as with soldiers on the battlefield. Also rather than the author dancing around the issue and having both her and the MC be ignorant of the others feelings, they both quickly realize that neither want to marry the other and actually talk things out before agreeing to somewhat work together on the matter. All in all, these first 39 chapters have been beyond excellent and I hope it keeps that way after the story is picked up.
I don't know if my review was deleted or my memory slipped, anyway this is harem so it's worthless trash unfit for sane individuals. Basically this is why harem will forever be trash, the name has "WIFE" but he gets a harem and his "WIFE" basically hates him for most of the novel, of course the mc is stronger than his "WIFE" because screw the title. Of course you can't forget the "Everyone conspires against him for no reason" add a bit of "Everyone get's so surprised how powerful he is, even though he was supposed to be a playboy waste, he's able to solve every situation and we'll just ignore the guy outsmarting everyone and label him as still being a playboy" to get a small fraction of the trash cliche part, next is the fact that we don't even see the other females at the beginning, they have no history with the man, and suddenly the "Mass murdering female general wife" Is ok with multiple people dating her husband after 5 seconds of knowing him. Harem is only good to ruin stories and draw in gullible teenagers to warp their view on how relationships work, just to earn 5 more dollars by writing something without even putting work into the side-wives. Alright that'll be all for my rant on the worst type of book genre, so bad anything with it is automatically worthless trash. For the story it's cliche trash, borderline qidian, but good enough that you can't fully turn your brain off to actually read the thing.
I give 5 stars because in this novel there are TL notes, sniff... it's been too long...It's been a long time since i saw a TL note on webnovel lol.
Not really a cultivation novel. Most of the chapters are about schemes, so if you are into kingdom building and schemes this one is for you.
did you really have to make the main character a man sl*t and man wh*re. any person who likes that stuff is a man wh*re and man wh*res are parasite and you know what ppl usually do to those right. you should drop or rewrite the main character And ps yes I just called all the sl*ts who like this novel a man wh*re
Main character is just generally unlikeable, unless you enjoy reading about womanizing annoying mc’s, in which case this is perfect for you
ambithita why do i want to kill the fl, reading this book makes me want to smash my head with a piece of tofu im gonna die of anger if i keep reading
Well first the reason I’m dropping is because this is a harem novel. At this point I’m not surprised authors like to ruin their stories. Cliche and boring, barely any background, uses all those “seeking death” type words that give me a headache. Story is probably nothing like the description since this is supposedly a harem novel. All in all harem novels have no idea the struggle involved and authors just decide to throw away logic and add nothing that makes sense to bring in all the edgy teens and degenerate’s who only read for the lemon scenes.
This book is truly a gem! It shows a more realistic side to our main character. Although he is smart, he has his moments where he'll need someone else's reminder or input. In the comment section of certain chapters, I saw people complaining about how the main character became stupid. In my opinion, it just shows that he isn't omnipotent and has plenty of room to develop. Another thing I enjoy about this book, is how the translator interacts with us readers. Explaining certain things such as how Webnovel's system works and how they may not have full control over the novel. I really hope this story gets picked, I genuinely like it. I am sorry if my words are a little confusing, I am not the best at articulating my words.
WE NEED MORE NOVELS like this!!!! -REAL TRANSLATED BOOKS, not fake books that plagiarize copyrighted books with fake localized name and edited plot.
Surprisingly a very good novel. Been quite a long time since I've last read a good novel in this setting with male lead. From this genre, I enjoyed The Great Tang Idyll, The Human Emperor, Dafeng's Night Squad, Long Live The Emperor, Protect Our Patriarch and a couple more I can't recall titles of right now. So if you liked the novel, feel free to check out the others I mentioned there.
I actually didn't have to burn any of my brain cells to read this novel... ..............................................................................
