Kapitel 11: Annoying

Everyone watched the wamp-sack and the maj-sack, waiting to see how things would shake out. As the teacher had not yet arrived, they quieted down their conversations, sitting down and turning to watch the show. Kai was among them, especially since their appearance had shut up Aoyama.

However, Kai found himself rather disappointed by the nature of the argument. As much as it was entertaining to watch two fools screaming at each other, there wasn't anything much deeper to learn.

On the one side was the wamp-sack, who for whatever reason assumed that he was a superior being who therefore did not need to follow any rules whatsoever. Kai could smell the arrogance coming off of him from across the room.

Then there was the maj-sack, who, true to form, believed that every rule needs to be followed to the letter. Even as Kai finished the thought, as the wamp-sack sat down in his chair and put his feet on his desk, the maj-sack turned his quite vocal attention to that fact.

"Don't put your legs on the desk! Don't you think that's disrespectful to your classmates?"

"No, as a matter of fact, I don't think so. Which middle school are you from anyways, you two-bit extra?"

Kai rolled his eyes and got up. It didn't seem like this was going to end too soon. He didn't particularly care about respect and all that, but the noise was annoying. He leaned over and touched the floor. His eyes burned purple as he reached out with his Quirk. This time, he reached out for two presences that were different from the zerglings he had used in the test. Since he was in the back of the room relative to the argument, nobody was looking. However, Yaoyorozu saw his motion out of the corner of her eye and happened to look. She shivered in disgust as she saw what he had called on.

The floor rippled, and two pairs of thin fleshy arms with three long claws reached up and pulled out grotesque forms. Seven red eyes framed faces full of needle-like teeth that split vertically and were further framed by short claws that protruded from the creatures' necks. Below what would have been the creatures' waists was a simple mass of flesh, which pooled around the floor the creature was on as if it was liquid.

Through their eyes, which were looking just about everywhere in the room, Kai could see the frozen horror on Yaoyorozu's face. Sighing, he quickly ordered the creatures to earn their names as changelings. Quickly, mass was pulled up from the pool on the floor as the color and texture of the surface of their skin changed. In just a few seconds, where there were two strange creatures, there were two large bald men in suits with sunglasses. Looking at Yaoyorozu himself, he could see that while she was still horrified, there was a little bit of something else in her expression. Maybe awe. But still far outweighed by disgust.

Oh, well. She was going to have to get used to it.

Meanwhile, she wasn't the only one to see the transformation. The door had opened again, and there was a boy with curly green hair frozen there. Though he had paused at the sight of the two people he most didn't want to see yelling at each other, his eyes had caught the motion across the room and looked much closer to fascinated than horrified. His timing had avoided their emergence, so their impact on him was a little lesser.

Since his entrance made noise while the changelings didn't, the arguing idiots looked up in his direction. Kai took this opportunity to direct the changelings as he had intended to use them. Since the idiots were looking the wrong way, they didn't see the changelings coming up behind them. They put their hands together and raised them high in the air. As they came crashing down, the changelings shifted extra mass into their hands, so hefty blows came down on two heads.

"Shut up, you narcissists!"

The maj-sack and wamp-sack both looked up at the two changelings, wondering when the heck two buff bodyguards (?) had gotten into the classroom. Then they directed their attention to Kai.

"Who's a narcissist?" They shouted in unison.

"Who thinks they are better than the person they were just yelling at?" Kai shot back.

"And who the hell are you?"

"The nerve!"

"Kaisei Oguchi," he replied, extending his hand and letting the changelings dissolve into the floor as he noticed movement at the door. "First place in the entrance exam, tired of you two idiots competing with each other, and more concerned about what's happening at the door."

"You bastard!" The blond one stammered, furious.

"You must be Midoriya," Kai said, ignoring him and putting his hand down. Blondie had quite the ego, if Kai could see it in three minutes of interaction. Better to find talk to the only classmate to take down Zero Point.

"Ha- Hai!"

"Heard you took down Zero Point. Nicely done. I was a bit slow with mine, and didn't finish it off in time. I look forward to working with you."

"I-I look forward to working with you too!" (Way shorter in Japanese)

"And you must be his girlfriend. Nice to meet you, too," Kai said, looking behind him. He had noticed the girl with short brown hair looking at Midoriya. While it was surprising to him that classmates were dating on the first day of class, he figured it wasn't impossible. Good for Midoriya.

"Whaaaat?? No no! We just- He-"

"No! I just met her at the test and…"

Both the girl and Midoriya panicked, waving their arms and shaking their heads as they stammered out an explanation. Their blushes told Kai he wasn't entirely wrong. Still, it wasn't the best time to embarrass them and push things forward. Especially given the wriggling motion on the floor behind the girl. Kai turned around quickly, counting up the empty chairs. As he had thought, there was only one person that could be.

"Ah, sorry about that, guess I read the atmosphere wrong. By the way, the teacher is on the floor behind you, you shouldn't keep blocking him." Kai returned to his seat to sit down.

Startled, they both turned around and looked down. Sure enough, lying on the floor like a giant yellow caterpillar was a man with long messy hair in a thick yellow sleeping bag. Suddenly, blondie and glasses, who were both looking at Kai with a mixture of shock and anger, snapped into attentive postures like everyone else. Of course, blondie was still leaning back in his chair.

Slowly, the sleeping bag bunched up as the teacher pulled himself upright. Through narrow eyes he stared down the class. For a moment, his gaze rested on Kai with a bit of recognition. And then… assessment.

Quickly, Kai found a response that could summarize himself. While maintaining his seated position, he bowed in respect to his teacher. But, as he straightened back up, he flared his Quirk and steeled his gaze, which was now enhanced by his glowing purple eyes.

I am respectful and obedient, but remember that it is a conscious choice.

The teacher sniffed and turned to face the class in a more general sense, rather than Kai specifically.

"Even with that kid helping you, it still took you lot 6 seconds to shut up. Life is short kids, you're all lacking in common sense.

"I'm your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. Pleasure meeting you," he said in full monotone. Class hadn't even started, and he sounded tired of teaching.

Bending over, he reached back into the sleeping bag and pulled out a packet of blue clothes. Holding one up for all to see, Aizawa continued.

"Wear these immediately. Then shove off to the PE grounds."

Nothing I can say but sorry. School is back and busy, and I just haven't gotten around to much writing. I have done a bit of fantasizing, worldbuilding on six projects (I have a problem), and more.

Hopefully another chapter soon. I want to get Kai to the first major smackdown. This world needs a fat slap of reality.
