Chapter Text

Mirio was swearing up and down in his head as Toru comforted the small girl and the target that they were expressly told not to interact with or tip-off in any way came strutting out of the same alleyway as the small girl.

Kai Chisaki stood over the small girl and Toru and stared at them with an impossible to read expression. "Oh, there you are. Come now, Eri, don't bother the heroes."

Toru felt Eri tighten her grip and start to tremble. Toru gave her best easy-going laugh. "Oh, she's not troubling us, right, Lemillion?"

Mirio smiled. "Of course not. Heroes always have time for the kids."

Kai hummed and looked unimpressed. "Regardless. I apologize for my daughter's actions. She is quite clumsy."

"She's shaking like a leaf. Did something happen, sir?" Toru asked innocently as she held Eri gently.

"Hm, well, I was scolding her for her actions earlier, and she ran off. Again I apologize; I'll take her home and make sure she's ok." Kai held his hand out. "Eri, come along now."

Toru bit her lip as Eri clutched her tighter and murmured. "I-I don't wanna go."

"You know her dress is pretty tattered, and I have to wonder about these bandages," Toru said bluntly, making Mirio curse internally.

Annoyance quickly flashed across Kai's face before he regained his composure. "She's a clumsy girl, and kids outgrow clothes quickly, so we save money by buying cheaper since she'll outgrow it quickly. I'd appreciate it if you didn't make assumptions about my family's situation."

Toru hummed as she wracked her brain. This girl was clearly being abused, and she needed to get her away from the yakuza boss standing in front of her. "I apologize, sir. Though little Eri doesn't seem to want to let go. Maybe you could just let us sit with her a bit longer."

Kai's eyes hardened. "I'm afraid we can't. We need to get home now."

Mirio snapped his fingers. "I remember where I recognize you from. I knew that mask looked familiar. You're with that yakuza group, aren't you?"

"Hm, yes, but don't mind the mask. It's just there to keep the filth out. These cities are full of disgusting things just floating around waiting to cause trouble."

Toru stood up, scoping Eri up as she did. "True, it takes quite a bit of effort to keep the cities clean. Lots of malcontents and lawbreakers sneaking around as well."

Kai took a deep breath and sighed. "You won't drop this until you get a proper explanation, will you? Fine, follow me. I'd rather not talk about these... embarrassing family matters out in the open."

As Kai turned and walked down the way he came, Mirio looked very much like he didn't want to be doing this, and he made sure Toru saw his expression. Though his brain skipped a bit as she shimmered slightly, and her eyes appeared for a moment before disappearing.

Eri stared in awe as Toru made her eyes appear again and whispered. "Keep your eyes on me, Eri. I'll keep you safe."

Mirio chewed his lip and kept his eyes on Kai. The yakuza boss started to take his glove off and turned his head, intending to threaten them and get Eri back, but his plans faltered as the young girl's attention was wholly on the floating eyes.

Kai growled and lunged for the ground. He'd just skewer them and put Eri back together. A fist rose through his open palm and slammed into his jaw, lifting him off the ground and sending him flying back.

As Kai rose to his feet and reached for the ground, he screamed as a laser passed over it, and he recoiled, clutching his burnt hand. "Lemillion eyes!"

Kai looked up as the invisible hero's face disappeared, and Lemillion turned away while holding Eri close to his chest, making sure her eyes were covered. The invisible girl suddenly flashed brightly, and Kai clutched his face and let out a scream. His vision was fucked, and it was taking too long to recover, so he slapped his undamaged hand to his face and deconstructed his eyes before repairing them.

Kai blinked and took stock of his surroundings. The heroes were gone, and so was Eri. Kai felt rage and hatred boiling over as he let out a guttural scream.

"Are the two of you perhaps mental?! Did I employ two students who were unstable?! I set out unambiguous instructions to not only avoid him but to be sure not to raise suspicion or engage in anything that could jeopardize the investigation, and what do you do?!"

Nighteye paused for a moment to breathe, and Toru said. "We saved a little girl, and to be fair, we only attacked him after he clearly made a move to hurt us."

Nighteye didn't look happy, but before he could say anything, Mirio stepped up. "Prism is right, sir. We did our best to avoid suspicion and get out of the situation peacefully, but Eri was terrified, and Chisaki did try to kill us. It's thanks to your training that I was able to keep him from possibly hurting the three of us, and Prism's quick thinking led to us getting away before things could escalate."

Toru watched as Nighteye took his glasses off and rubbed his eyes before sighing and looking at his phone. "Fine. I'm not happy about this, but we'll find a way to make it work. In the meantime, go down to the infirmary and check on her. It seems like she's pretty fidgety without you two. Bubble Girl is managing, but she's worried the girl will freak out. Also, Tsukauchi will be here soon to go over everything."

The two students nodded and left Nighteye's office, and headed down to the infirmary on the second floor. Toru opened the door to see a very fretful Bubble Girl looking underneath the bed. "Um, Eri, could you please come out?"

Toru smiled. "Maybe I can try?"

The sidekick looked up and sighed. "Please, the few words I could get out of her were just her asking where you two were."

Toru knelt down as Bubble Girl excused herself. "Eri."

Eri looked over as she shook in fear. This was a new place, but it smelled sterile and like the old place. Ever since they arrived, she hadn't seen the nice people but that voice. Mismatched eyes of brown and coral floated down and looked at her. "There you are. Can you come out? It's just Lemillion and me. No one else."

Mirio smiled a bit as, after a moment, the small girl crawled out and looked at the two of them. "W-who are you?"

Mirio smiled. "My name is Mirio Togata, my hero name is Lemillion."

"Hero name?" Eri said as she looked at Toru and watched the older girl's eyes vanish.

Toru giggled. "It's a kind of nickname. My name is Toru Hagakure, and my hero name is Prism. It's wonderful to meet you, Eri."

Eri nodded. "W-where am I?"

Toru bit her lip at how scared the girl looked. "You're at Sir Nighteye's agency, and Eri... you're safe here. No one here is gonna hurt you."

The two hero students watched as Eri's eyes teared up, and she quickly tried to whip them away as she sniffled. Toru scooted closer and asked softly. "Can I hug you, Eri?"

"H-hug?" the little girl sniffled, and Toru felt her heart crack.

"Here, let me show you." Toru offered before scooting closer and gently wrapping her arms around the girl. Eri flinched at first but quickly found herself clutching Toru's hero costume and burying her face into the crook of the invisible girl's neck as Toru held her gently. "This is a hug. Do you like it?"

Eri sniffled and nodded. "Y-yes."

"Good. I'll do it as often as you want, ok?"

As Eri cried and slowly lost all her energy, Mirio stepped out and waited for Tsukauchi. He'd be sure the detective understood how skittish Eri was before he could talk to her.

Izuku sighed as he sat in his mom's living room. During his first-ever daytime patrol, he arrested a villain, and then after the patrol finished up, he spent a couple hours having to go through the paperwork and make sure everything was correctly signed and recorded accurately. Now he was on a call with his girlfriends listening to Toru explain how she had gone on patrol and run into the guy they were told to avoid and rescued a little girl who, with Mirio's support, was doing her best to tell Tsukauchi what had happened to her.

"I can't believe you two. Izu arrested a villain, and Toru saved a kid." Mina said, exasperated. "And what happens during mine? some kids soccer ball beams me in the face, and now I have a bruise on my forehead."

Izuku did his best to stifle his laughter and said. "I'm sure you're still as pretty as always, Mina. Toru and I will be sure to kiss it all better once we're at school."

Toru giggled as Mina sputtered. "Eri is such a cute kid. Honestly, I don't care how mad Nighteye was that we fought Overhaul. It was worth it to get her away from him. Now though, we have to get ready for a raid- oh crap, I wasn't supposed to tell anyone."

Mina sighed. "Don't worry, Toru, it's not like we're gonna tell anyone. The three of us are pretty good at keeping secrets."

"True... ugh, is that what time it is? I need to get back to the paperwork. I wanna cuddle with you two but based on what Bubble Girl said, I might have to stay at the agency overnight."

Izuku sighed. "The bed just won't feel the same. Hopefully, Mina and I will be able to get enough sleep."

Toru groaned again, and the trio wrapped up their talk so she could get back to work and go see Eri again to make sure she was doing ok.

Hawks stared at the gathered heroes. Eraserhead, Ryukyu, Endeavor, and several others who Hawks trusted were staring at him. A total of ten heroes, including himself, were a few miles from where the League of Villains were located. "To those of you with interns, sorry I'm taking you from them. I feel bad enough not teaching Tsukuyomi, but we can't have students here. If things don't go to plan, it could get messy."

Endeavor huffed. "Get to the point, Hawks. You still haven't told us how you came by this information."

Hawks sighed and said. "After this raid, things with the HPSC will get chaotic. We'll all need to put in overtime, and you'll understand after I explain how I got this information."

The gathered heroes listened to Hawks as he confirmed the existence of the UHD and how he worked with them. He left out exact details about Himiko, but he did reveal that a member who was undercover in the League had provided him with the info.

The heroes were silent as they processed the information. Some like Endeavor looked visibly annoyed, while others seemed contemplative. After a moment, Ryukyu asked. "Is the member still with them? Do we need to do anything to ensure their safety?"

"No, they're not; they're in a safe house." Hawks said. "As for the Leagues warper, apparently an old hero named Gran Torino is about to take him down so we won't have to worry about him. Is everyone ready?"

The heroes gave their affirmative and made their way out of the building and into a covert transport to get them as close as possible.

Tomura was pissed not only was his master in prison, but he had lost so many members of the League, the latest of which was Magne. "I'm gonna go-"

Tomura was cut off as the wall of their shitty little base exploded, and Ryukyu's massive claws tore through, making the League drop to the ground. Twice wasn't quick enough, and the double villain was thrown clear out of the building.

As the building groaned and started to collapse, the League ran out, ready to fight. Dabi's hands lit up with blue fire but quickly fizzled out, and the League looked in shock as nine heroes and dozens of police surrounded them. Tomura looked around and glared up at Eraserhead, who was standing in a tree looking straight at Tomura.

Hawks flared his wings as his feathers danced around. "Surrender. You have zero chance of winning this."

Tomura looked around frantically as his anger reached a fever pitch. Twice was already in cuffs, and the heroes were moving in closer. Tomura roared with anger and launched himself at the nearest hero. He didn't care if his quirk didn't work; he'd gouge the fuckers eyes out if he had to.

The hero, a man named Show Stopper, deftly dodged Tomura and grabbed the villain by the back of his head with one hand while the other clenched in a fist, and he delivered a quick strike to Tomura's lower back. Show Stopper's quirk activated, and paralysis washed over the leader of the League, who fell to the ground and was quickly descended on by the police.

The other League members surrendered except Dabi, who was seething as he looked at Endeavor. Meanwhile, the Endeavor was keeping his eyes on Dabi. The report about the man was sparse on information, but there were several arson cases and charred corpses who could probably be tied to this man.

Endeavor wanted him off the streets. Of all the types of criminals out there, those with fire quirks were on the top of Endeavor's list. He didn't need his own type of quirk to get a bad reputation. Taking them down also showed just how much stronger his power was compared to theirs.

As Compress and Spinner were handcuffed, Dabi said. "It's good to see you, Enji Todoroki. I didn't want to meet like this. I'm not quite ready to kill you and that little tool Shoto yet."

The heroes and police near Endeavor stepped away as the number two flared with fire. "You will not speak about my son, you villainous scum!"

Dabi laughed. "Is that how you wanna play it? Villainous scum is pretty rich considering what you did to Touya-"

Before the villain could say anything else, a flaming fist slammed into his face and broke the staples on the man's face causing his skin to sag as he collapsed into an unconscious heap. Endeavor seethed but was shocked out of his anger when his flames disappeared.

"Calm down, Endeavor," Eraserhead said as he approached and watched the villains. "He'll face justice, but if you do anything unnecessary, then he might get off with a lighter sentence."

The number two hero growled but said nothing. It was only once the villains were secured in maidens that his flames came back as Eraser blinked.

Hawks let out a sigh as the police started to leave, and the heroes began canvassing the area to make sure the League of Villains had nothing dangerous lying around. "Now comes the hard part."

Eraser hummed as he approached the winged hero. "Nezu is setting things up. Head to UA, and you can get started on it."

Hawks nodded and flapped his wings. "Thank you all for your help. I hope you'll continue to help in the future."

Sir Nighteye stared at the news with a frown on his face. His sidekicks were flanking him as they looked at the footage; it had been two days since they rescued Eri, and three hero agencies had been attacked. He knew that it was Overhaul doing it, and he knew what the yakuza were looking for.

Eri had managed to tell them that the yakuza head had hurt her, though she blamed her quirk, which she called a curse. Later Toru promised to stay with Eri, and they had managed to have a doctor look her over and confirmed that the girl was covered in surgical scars but was otherwise healthy.

"Sir, you may want to look at this," Centipeder said as he showed his boss the report Fat Gum had put on the hero net about how his newest intern Creati had been hit with a quirk erasing bullet. She was fine now, but for several hours, she was unable to use her quirk.

Nighteye looked over the report and noted some familiar names in those who were arrested. "Get Fat Gum down here as soon as possible. I need to speak with him about this."

Izuku knocked on the door as he stepped out into the courtyard. Momo looked up from her book as she jumped a bit. "O-oh, Izukuk, hello. Are you not with Midnight today?"

Izuku shook his head. "No, she's got UA paperwork to do today, so I'm stuck with normal school work and whatnot." Izuku sat across from her at the small table. "I heard about the accident while you were on patrol. How are you doing?"

Momo blushed a bit and rubbed her arm. "I am fine now."

Her hand glowed, and she dropped a Russian nesting doll that looked like Fat Gum on the table. "As you can see, my quirk is back and working properly. Though, I am sad that I still have to take time off."

Izuku chuckled. "Better safe than sorry."

Momo hummed. "I suppose... Izuku if you don't mind me asking, I noticed something odd a couple days ago."

Izuku looked at her as she said. "I was heading to the gym when I saw you, Toru, and Mina. You three went past Recovery Girls office and headed into the medical wing. I don't think I've ever gone there before. What were you doing?"

"Ah..." Izuku chewed his lip, and Momo felt a twisting in her chest. Perhaps she had stepped on something sensitive. "I... can you come with me for a minute, Momo? It'll be easier to show you as I explain what's going on."

Momo nodded as she closed her book. "Of course.

Momo couldn't help the slight bit of worry twisting in her gut as she walked with Izuku, mostly in silence. She would have tried to talk to him, but the look in his eyes kept her voice silent. He looked deep in thought as they made their way into the medical wing.

Izuku slid a door open and let Momo enter. As she walked in, the one-way mirror caught her attention, and Momo felt her breath catch in her throat as she looked at the blonde girl who was restrained to her bed as a doctor sat in a chair and spoke to her. Whatever they were saying was upsetting the blonde girl, but Momo couldn't hear what was being said.

Izuku entered and closed the door as he put his phone away. "Sorry, I was telling Toru and Mina that I was telling you about this."

"Is it ok to tell me about... whatever this is?" Momo asked as she watched the blonde girl.

"It's ok. Honestly, everything is about to blow up anyways, and I trust you, Momo. you're one of my closest friends, and so is she." Izuku said as he looked at Himiko, who was yelling something that made the doctor pale.

Momo punched down any lingering feelings that bubbled up as he said her name. "Why is she here? Who is she?"

Izuku sat down and told Momo about Himiko. He left out the UHD and Hawks and simply said she disappeared a couple times, and when she came back the second time, she was a villain again. "She's here now, still suffering from the effects of a quirk, and we're waiting for a doctor from Germany."

Momo watched with concern as Iuzku rested his head in his hands. "I'm sure she'll be fine... but- but there's not enough going on to keep my mind off her situation. Toru has a lot going on, and last night Mina told me how she and Xeno King were working to organize an event for mutant quirks, so they probably don't have time to worry."

Momo sat next to Izuku and placed her hand on his shoulder as she said, "I'm sure Toga will be ok. She has such wonderful people rooting for her." Momo took a deep breath before continuing. "If you need a distraction, I would appreciate your help at the rep meetings. Things are starting to pick up as we get closer to the cultural festival."

Izuku chuckled. "Sure, I'll be there. Thanks, Momo."

"It's no problem." Momo looked at Himiko as a nurse approached her cautiously and touched Himiko's head. The blonde thrashed, but it slowed, and her eyes seemed to glaze over. "When she's better, I'd like to meet her."

Izuku smiled a bit. "She'd probably like that. Thanks for coming with me."

Momo smiled, and it barely stung as she said. "It's no problem. We're friends, after all."

Notes:

I feel good. I saw a Reddit post where someone was asking about fic recs that would make them care about Midnight and Hypno was suggested.

uh, I got two things I wanna talk about one is spoilers for those who have not finished the Demon Slayer manga and the other is talking about a story idea that I guess requires a CW for sexual stuff but Idk if I need to be saying the big r-word or not for it. I'm not familiar with CWs and what would and wouldn't fit the criteria so if that stuff's not your jam then you don't need to read this note anymore but if you don't mind I would appreciate help in my education of how to be considerate towards others.

The first is the Demon Slayer things. I have a bit of an idea or maybe a desire to write a demon slayer manga where instead of dying Upper One escpaes and becomes the new head demon after Muzan is dead. then the surviving demon slayers have to gather and new Hashira are named.

Giyu and Sanemi would be alive. maybe Mitsuri and Obanai because I would love to write we confessed thinking we were going to die but we both lived so now we have to pursue a relationship. as for new Hashira there would be Zenitsu, Inosuke, Kanao, and Tanjiro. I also like the idea of Rengoku's dad being forced out of retirement and being a Hashira. could also have Nezuko start to learn swordsmanship and become a full member.

ok CW stuff now.

I mentioned a Izumi with Air Walk and an abusive dad. I've kinda wanted to try and do heavier and darker stuff sometimes so I was thinking about having Hisashi basically use Izumi as a prostitute to make money. Izumi wants to get away but her dads got resources and friends so it'll be hard for her. I wanna put parts of what she goes through in the fic whenever I get around to writing it. she's unwilling but agrees because she knows if she doesn't it'll just get worse for her. what kind of CW's would I put on that fic?
