Earth's current civilization level was not particularly high. Without many wormholes, the scope of Earth's extraterrestrial activities would only be limited to its lunar system. 

This was typical of an elementary civilization, so Earth was at best an elementary civilization. 

An elementary civilization's understanding of the universe was extremely scarce, and everything was only limited to speculations and telescope observations. Perhaps, there was even a very limited understanding of their own parent star system. 

However, Earth was different from your ordinary elementary civilization. Thanks to the wormholes and 1269, Earth's understanding of the universe and the cultivation system was beyond that of many advanced civilizations. 

Earthlings knew about the level of civilizations, and they knew about the level of cultivations in the universe.
