I groan as Oli's alarm goes off. We had stayed up practically all night, Oli telling me everything I had missed while in the hospital.

I rolled over and groggily nudged Oli. "Your alarm," I whispered, voice hoarse. She groans as well and slowly opens her eyes to glare at me. "Turn it off," I growl, annoyed by the obnoxious sound emitting from her side of the bed.

She leans over on her side and frustratedly, smashes the snooze button on her phone. As if the force of her fingers would fasten the process.

Her face contorts in aggravation as she opens her eyes again. "You coming to school today?"

"Ew, no." I roll over and pull the comforter over my shoulders again. "Too early for that shit."

"Oh, come on~" She wines, elbowing my side. "I can't survive another day without you."

I groan loudly and turn my head to look at her. "We're not even in any classes together. You'll be fine."

I can see her start to pout in the dimly lighted room, as she tries to change my mind. The only source of light coming from the periwinkle sky in my window.

"Please," She begs through pouted lips. "I'll drive you."

I sigh, "I hate you."

She beams, a complete 180 from the sleepy attitude she had only moments ago. "Love you too."

She then bounces out of the bed, "Can I use the guest bathroom?"

I sit up in bed and give her a look. "Well duh—Did you think we'd be showering together?"

She wiggles her eyebrows suggestively. "Do you want to?"

I chuckle and get up to stretch, "You'd love that wouldn't you?"

I exit my room and walk to the closet of towels and washcloths. Grabbing her some, I walk back and hand her the items.

"Thanks," She smiles and walks out to the guest room to get ready. I do the same and enter my bathroom.

6:37 am

I come out of the bathroom to see Oli excitedly dancing around my room with a bowl filled with some kind of breakfast food. I laugh at the sight, which startled her and she almost drops the bowl. "Sorry~ Please continue your little dance."

She glares at me over her shoulder, growling incoherent words. "If I dropped this, both of us would've been really mad."

I laugh and shake my head, walking to the desk in the corner of my room. I pick up my backpack that hasn't been touched in god-knows how long. "You ready?" I ask over my shoulder.

"Yep," She says with her mouth full. She swallows before talking again, "Your mom made food for us. Yours is downstairs still."

I perk up at the word 'food' and hurriedly grab my things to rush downstairs. I hear her faint chuckles as I run down in the direction of the kitchen.

Mom is sitting at the island, drinking her coffee when I enter. "Good morning Lee—"

"Morning," I reply shortly, cutting her off a little, and grab the bowl on the counter. I hum in delight at the oatmeal, the scent of apples and cinnamon emanating from it.

"I put honey in it too," mom chuckles and returns to her phone and coffee.

"Thank you. See you later?" I beam.

She nods, "Ina will probably be coming over for dinner."

I pause and stare at my food. "How come she hasn't moved in yet? Wouldn't that be easier? I mean— you've been together for years." I was thinking out loud.

She chokes on her coffee, coughing loudly and I worriedly look up at her. Cheeks a light shade of red, "We—ahem," She clears her throat again. "We haven't talked about that yet."

"But—you guys are engaged??" I was really confused by their logic. It's not uncommon to move in together when your getting married, is it?

"I— Aish, you're gonna be late for school. You should get going."

I laugh, "Okay~ See you later!" I wave and leave the room to meet Oli who's leaning against the wall.

"Let's go," She says cheerfully and opens the front door.

7:25 am

I walk into my first class seconds before the warning bell. Too early in my opinion.

"Good morning," I announce, as usual, and all heads snap to me.

"Leah~" My classmates sing. "Where were you? We missed you these few weeks."

I looked around at their worried faces and smiled slightly.

"I—uh..." I couldn't really say anything. It was none of their business really, but somehow I felt it the need to tell them something—anything.

"Alright everyone," My teacher, Ms.Stone, said saving me. I gave her a look of appreciation to which she nods. "Let's not mob her with questions, alright?"

I make my way to my desk and place my things down before approaching Ms.Stone's desk, a mass of papers in hand. Ms.Stone and I have become close throughout my high school career. I've had her twice in these four years of hell. And she's made it less like hellfire and more like the warmth of sitting by a bonfire. Bearable.

"Good morning Melanie," I say with a smile.

She laughs at my use of her first name. "Good morning Leah. How are you?"

"I've been good, better now actually." I hold out the papers to her. "Thank you for letting Oli pick up my missed work. It kept me busy in that boring room."

All of my teachers had been informed as to why I was missing for three weeks. So, I could speak freely—not too freely though— about it.

She nods, "I hope it wasn't too much for you." I wave her off.

"They were pretty easy," I laugh. "I didn't need to stare at it too long."

The only reason for that was because people had read the papers to me. The doctors didn't want me to strain myself—I objected many times to that. It's not as if I'd suddenly become weak from looking at a piece of paper. Hard eye roll happening right about now.

She nods with a smile, "I'll put these in for you after class."

"Thank you," I return her smile and turn to walk back to my seat. "I'll probably stop by during free mod."

"Sounds good," She chuckles. The bell rings out—good timing—and class begins.

11:00 am

I make my way to the usual table, seeing the familiar group at the table. Oli, Elsa, Ren, Calvin, and Hanna. I give a short wave as a greeting when I sit down.

"She's back," Ren announces, smiling happily.

"Yup," I smile to them. "I'm back."

"So, how are you?" Elsa asked before she bit into her sandwich.

"I'm pretty good. How about you guys?" I look around at them.

Their responses varied between each person, but they were all relatively positive. We continued the small talk until Oli suddenly gasps.

"What?" I ask her.

"I just remembered that guy you were talking to..." I'm confused and the look on my face shows it. She continues, "What was his name—Ugh it starts with a T..." She was mostly talking to herself but I butt-in.

"Taehyung?"

"Yes! Him!" She shouts.

"Shh, oh my god," I laugh.

"So, do you still talk to him?"

"Yes, why?"

She grins, "Mm, have you talked to him yet?"

"What do you mean?"

"Like since you've been home," She gives me a look saying 'what else did you think I meant.'

I laugh at that, "Uh, not yet. It's like 1 am for him right now."

"Girl you had all day night to do it yesterday."

"I wasn't going to be rude and get on the phone while you're at my house, crazy." I shook my head and take out the lunch I packed for myself.

Leftover 비빔밥 (bibimbap).

I got up to microwave it. It won't taste that same as it did last night, but it's still bibimbap and I'm not letting it go to waste. That would just be heartbreaking. When I walk back with my heated up meal, they all grin at me.

"What..." I say, worried about what's going on in their crazy heads.

"Leah's got a man now," Hanna wiggles her eyebrows nudging Calvin who's seated beside her.

I sigh and sit down. "I honestly don't," I pout.

"Oh but you want him," They tease. "Don't deny it."

"I can't with you," I laugh and go on to eat my food.
