Kapitel 123: A first

"You are more enthusiastic than a little girl who's going to the park for the first time." I frown at her, "why are you happy? You are only going to sit next to me."

"Only?" She dramatically gasped. "You don't need to use the only word when speaking about yourself. There is nothing like an only."

We left the field and headed for the building. Just a narrow alley-like way, and we will arrive at the building.

It's not as if that's the only way to the building. It just happened to be the shortcut. And everyone loves the shortcut.

Who am I kidding?

No one loves going through the tedious way when there is a shortcut.

And that includes me. I will never go through the shortcut if there is a short way out.

Brit took the rear while I led the way.

"I don't like following this route. I prefer the long way."
