Kapitel 274: A second before their demise

"Looks like there's something out there."

As the three looked at each other, the door of the room was flung open. Mayor Gilbert, Klaus, and Zennie, looked in the direction of the door and saw a guard enter the room.

Mayor Gilbert frowned, but before he could say anything, the guard immediately said, "My lord, we are— ah!?" Before he could finish what he was going to say, a bloody sword blade suddenly came out of his stomach.

Ngh!

The guard groaned as the expression on his face turned into a grimace. Following that, blood came out of his mouth and his face lost all colors. The mayor, Klaus, and Zennie, the three of them were all stunned at what had transpired before them.

Plop!

The guard's blood ran down the tiled floor. From behind the dying guard, a person wrapped in a black cloth came out.

An assassin? The three of them thought the same thing seeing the person.
