In the outskirts of Kor city, a mansion stood proudly in the middle of a large manor filled with many trees that look like a small forest within the city. This is a part of the city where many wealthy families live. This land area, which is around hundreds of kilometers, is called the Green Garden Paradise.
The ground of the mansion is filled with people holding rifles as they patrol the area. The private army of the owner of the house is not that simple from the way those guards are dressed and equipped.
The night was quiet, but underneath the mansion about 50 meters underground, an underground facility which is as big as the mansion above ground is located.
In the underground facility, there is a big room where ten people can be seen standing around a long meeting table.
A man wearing sunglasses and a mask looks at the people around him and his eyes landed on a tall and beautiful woman.
Feeling the gaze of the man Myst dare not lift her eyes and met his. The operations they have planned have always encountered failure after failure. And worst is that out of the six core members of the MPMA in the province, Feline and she are the only ones left able to fight. She is not aware of Ale'Bo's status as she did not see him after the horrible tragedy of the horde.
"We have been suffering failure after failure… I am very disappointed in you. After the success of the destruction of Tup town a few years ago, your group has not yielded any result. I think it was a fluke and was a mistake to give you the right to lead your group… Myst…" the man said with a cold tone.
Hearing those words, Myst's forehead is already covered in sweat. In fact, the man who wears black spectacle and has his mouth covered with a grinning mask is very powerful. According to the underworld in Phil Country, he could be considered as one of the three most powerful espers in the country.
Before the woman called Tempest was revealed, this person is already holding so much power but has decided to hide from the public and run the MPMA organization in Phil country in the shadows. His power is a mystery and those who have seen him use his power did not live to tell the tale.
"Bo… bo… boss… I… I will not let you down this time. We… we will make a plan to destroy the city from the inside. This is the last time… if… if I still fail this time, then… then… I would give up my own life." Myst said with determination glowing in her dainty eyes.
The people in the room saw her determination and were a bit satisfied. However, there are still those that mock her and showed a sneer on their faces.
"Do you think that it's that easy? I heard that there are two powerful level-25 espers in Kor city. What can you weaklings do?" a woman in the group commented.
"That's right, a failure is a failure, and you have to be punished."
"Boss, let me take over this province. Kosage Province will surely fall if it was me on the lead… Hehe…" a tall thin man said with a chuckle.
"Shut up! You are one to talk. You have the most powerful force and yet you are still unable to take down a small city in your area…" Myst shouted to that man.
"Hehe… My place is different than yours… Although it is near Kosage province, yet the terrain, monsters, and people in my area are more powerful. There are more than hundreds of level 20 espers in my place. If I were assigned in your…" the man began to reason out.
"Everyone, shut up!…" the boss said in a cold tone which silenced everyone.
"I will give Myst the last chance… If you are unable to bring results, then I will personally go to Kor city and claim your life." The man said and then his figure vanished.
After that man left, the other figures in the room also flickered and then vanished. The only one left is Myst who is showing fear and anxiety in her expression.
She knew that this was her last chance. It was her fault for being too showy and prideful ever since she has designed and took down Tup town.
In fact, she could have succeeded last time if only that mask man did not appear. The mayor could have been killed and their plans could have been successful. Then when they siege the restaurant where many affluent people in Kor city usually dine-in, they could have proceeded to the second phase, but once again the masked man appears and stops them.
And then the most tragic of all, the most elaborate trap they have set which took them many months to plan, it was all for naught and everything was a failure.
"Damn that guy… I… I swear… If I see him, I will skin him alive!" she muttered.
"Haha… Really? How are you supposed to do that? That guy is stronger than me… You have no chance against him." a sarcastic voice appears from behind her and the sorry figure of Bromite stood leaning by the door with both of his arms missing.
"You… why are you out of the infirmary?"
"I feel bored so I decided to eves drop… Hehe… I told you, that your plans are too… Gentle. If you have listened to my plan then we could have taken them down already…" Bromite said with a mocking smile.
Myst wanted to argue, but she knew that what he said was true. So this time, she decided to stop arguing and listen to Bromite and his sick plan.

At the present time…
Curt learned that there are multiple raids that are happening in the city. And the targets of those raids are very important places which could cripple the ability of the city to defend itself once something is going to happen outside.
"We are the group responsible for cleaning the mess in this place." The tall woman whom the Greenhoundz mercenary group called Leader stood in front while looking at the entrance lobby of the association building.
There are already a few espers in the area and have already begun fighting against the giant morphed man. However, they soon discover that there are two others that suddenly appear from within the top floors of the ten-story building.
Crash! Bang! Boom!
The sounds of explosions are all over the place as they could see many window glasses are destroyed and many objects and superpowers are tossed outside of the glass windows.
"This is getting more troublesome… We have to locate the source of the metamorphosis… We have to find the one controlling these creatures!" shouted Leader as she commanded the rest of the espers beside her.
"Firebraid! Suit up… and you… new… recruit… get inside the truck and also suit up." she said while looking at Curt and Jenny Mae.
Though a bit stunned when he was called as a new recruit by the woman, Curt did not understand it though. So he just let it slide and would just figure it out after the mess is over.
On the side, Alan Kane bit his lips as he looks at Jenny Mae with complicated emotion in his heart. He knew that she already has a boyfriend, but from the way she talks to him and her gazes, he knew that he still has a chance to get her.
Curt saw the complicated emotion in Alan Kane's eyes and sneered in his heart. He will not sit idly by and let this man take his woman under his nose. This time he decided to fight for his love.
He suddenly grabs Jenny Mae's hand and drags her towards the truck.
This stunned her and wanted to grab her hand back. But for some unknown reason, she could not take her hand. She was baffled and helplessly followed behind Curt. She dare not look at Alan Kane as she did not want her emotion to be shown.
However, she knew that she could not hide her relationship with Curt now, since he might be enrolled in the Esper College soon as a part of his esper training requirements.
"This is for the best…" she thought as she seems to have already resigned herself to her fate.
However, she seems to have noticed that Curt's attitude towards her seems to have changed a bit. He suddenly seems to be gentle yet a bit brusque, kind but there seems to be a spark of ruthlessness in his eyes sometimes, and his previous mild manner became a bit forceful just like what he is doing right now, and that time he saved her in the building.
She could not deny that she is a bit attracted to these new changes in Curt's attitude. Yet, she is still a bit confused and reserve as she did not want to be taken advantage of by him.
When the two reach the side of the truck, Curt suddenly lets go of her hand and without looking back at her, opens the back of the armored truck and jumps right inside.
5 minutes later…
The two have already suited up with the proper gear that belongs to the Greenhoundz mercenary group. Jenny Mae is now wearing a black vest under a black and yellow special jacket. Her skin-tight dark blue leather-like special pants insinuate the curves of her body which could make a man drool upon seeing her long legs and perfectly shaped hips.
Curt on the other hand, just wore a protective black and yellow jacket, a Kevlar helmet, a pair of black gloves, and a semi-automatic small rifle.
He looks like a regular soldier employed by the Greenhoundz mercenary group.
When the two alighted from the truck, a young man greeted them.
Coldface will be the team leader along with Jenny Mae and Curt as part of the members of his team of ten people. They are to guard the gate and make sure that no giant morphed man could escape the premises or anyone to come in.
After receiving the instruction, the ten of them fans out with Curt following behind Jenny Mae. The two are positioned in a corner where they observe the situation.
It did not take long when suddenly, they saw many espers and regular soldiers suddenly being thrown out of the building. Luckily for the others, they were caught by some espers with wind ability. But there are those unlucky soldiers who would fall to the ground and die.
Well, choosing between an esper and a regular soldier, the priority to save would always be an esper.
This sudden change in the battle situation made Curt and Jenny Mae feel alarmed and worried for those inside the building.
Then suddenly a giant figure suddenly jumps out of the building from the 9th floor.
