When it became evident that Merwyn truly didn't understand the harm he'd caused, Emily decided to leave it at that, as arguing with him would be pointless.
Merwyn leaned forward towards her again, bringing his face close to hers.
She expected him to...do...something.
She expected there to be some purpose for him leaning in close like that, but...
He didn't do anything but hum softly, seeming lost deep within his own thoughts for a few minutes.
After several long, awkward, silent minutes passed without any signs of movement from the fae, Emily slowly reached out and poked his cheek gently with one finger.
"Is something on your mind, Merwyn?" She whispered hesitantly, worried by the unusually quiet behavior coming from the energetic and charismatic fae lord.
Merwyn blinked suddenly and lifted his head up to stare directly into Emily's eyes as he slowly nodded.
