Before Emily knew it, her feet hit the ground and she stumbled, almost falling. Fortunately, she managed to catch herself before doing that, but it was still embarrassing.
In her defense, however, the transition between the human and the fae realms was usually gentle enough that it was basically a smooth step, and didn't feel much different than stepping through a door into another room.
But that time...
That time had been very abrupt.
A sudden shift in scenery.
An unsettling and stomach turning drop.
And even though her feet were flat on solid ground, for a brief moment she still felt like she was plummeting downward, even as she kept her footing.
Merwyn hummed quietly as he kept a hand on her shoulder, helping to steady her.
"This is a different part of the fae lands than you've been, Treasure. Don't worry. You will adapt well, because you have two fae familiars~"
