"Huh?" Lu Weixi couldn't even utter a complete sentence.
She had been married to Qin Zhiyou for five years. It wasn't to say that they had abundant marital affections, but they did have a fair share of conjugal dealings. Although he was somewhat impulsive and unpredictable, he was never violent. This was the first time that he showed such fierceness. Already having a restless sleep, Lu Weixi woke up completely.
"Zhiyou?" She felt a little scared as his eyes quickly turned cold, and he casually reached for the towel tossed aside...
A long time later.
Without moving, Qin Zhiyou made her feel slightly breathless. She turned her head, murmuring softly, "Um, don't you want to take a shower?"
No sooner had she finished speaking than Lu Weixi saw Qin Zhiyou's head move slightly. He also turned to look at her, his gaze fixed on her unwaveringly.
The dim bedside lamp illuminated his half-lit, half-shadowed face. So close, she was breathing his breath. Such proximity made her feel a little uncomfortable. She slowly turned her head to look at the white ceiling. His breathing went from calm to slightly rapid, and then he suddenly rose, grabbing his clothes from the side and haphazardly putting them on. Not caring to wear his slippers, he rushed out of the room.
Only when his footsteps faded into the distance did Lu Weixi breathe a sigh of relief. Preparing to change her position and rest, she suddenly found her hands were still tied. After some struggles, her mouth finally managed to untie the rope, by which time the sky had brightened.
After not having a good rest for two continuous days, Lu Weixi really wished she could sleep all day. But, after the chaos at the company yesterday, she felt embarrassed to request leave and reluctantly got out of bed. After washing up and going downstairs for breakfast, Aunt Hao handed her the contraceptive pill along with the water, which she took as usual. Only, it seemed like there was something important that she had forgotten due to her cloudy mind.
It wasn't until she was waiting for the elevator to her office that she suddenly realized something.
The money from last night, Qin Zhiyou hadn't given it to her yet!
